One Day Pass to Sam’s

Allstate has a one day entrance pass into Sam’s HERE.  While normally that’s nothing special because guests are charged a 10% fee at checkout, this pass waives the upcharge fee.  It is just like you a regular member!

If you are not a member of a wholesale club I would recommend you use this and just walk the store.  If you have been couponing for anytime you will find most items largely overpriced.  There are a few items that we do get at Sam’s (if we happen to already be in the area).

Milk (reg. $2.82)
Butter 4lb for $6.50
Cheese around $1.60 per 8oz ($1.50 is my normal buy price)
Meat (I have seen some with complaints against their meat it is a good price)

Thats it… unless you are needing a big item like a new TV.

Why?  My favorite example is Cereal.
You can buy a 3 Box pack of Frosted Flakes at Sams right now for $8.44.  Or you can go to Bi-Lo this week and get 8 boxes FREE after rebate.  Don’t want to mess with rebate?  Get 3 boxes for $3.24 then!!

Another Example:
Bounty 20 roll pack $17.78 (get 20 rolls of Viva for $5.80 at Publix right now)

These deals do involve coupons and sales, but well that’s they way it works around here.

**Note:  The fine print states not valid in SC or CA.  I just called a store in SC and learned that they do not ever charge a guest upcharge (in this state), so you can use the coupon to get in if you want and the waiver doesn’t apply.  I was told that you will not be able to write a check though**

this is great! we are planning on buying a new mattress and I’m so excited to use them as an option :)

    • Thanks Jenny! I have a post scheduled for later with a link back here. :) BTW how is it going? It seems to me like your readership has grown! I am so happy for you!

Where do you usually buy cheese for $1.50? I was pretty excited about $2 a few weeks ago!
Funny though, I wouldn’t buy milk for over $2.40…. We all have our own set “buy” points, don’t we?

    • Jenny

Susie – You can get it at Kroger on sale for $1.50/8oz this week the 16oz package is $2.99 ea (making it $1.50 for 8oz)

I wish we had Milk in our area that cheap. In this part of SC the cheapest you can find it is around $2.99 unless you go to Sam’s :(

WOW I feel really lucky this week. Our Kroger (I live in WV) has milk for $1 a half gallon. Milk seems to be a frequent promotion around here.

Did you see this is not applicable in South Carolina in the small print?

    • We will buy electronics from Sam’s. They have an awesome return policy that is second to none.

BJ’s takes coupons so they aren’t that bad, if you have the right coupons and the right sales. LOL

If you have an Aldi’s near you, the milk is $2.79 a gallon.

Interesting comment about the meat, I am always happy with their meat(if the price is right). I for the first time in being a member for over 10 years got some bad meat(foul smelling chicken thighs). I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service desk when they informed me they have a 200% guarantee. They gave me my money back and a new package of chicken thighs for free!
