Allstate has a one day entrance pass into Sam’s HERE. While normally that’s nothing special because guests are charged a 10% fee at checkout, this pass waives the upcharge fee. It is just like you a regular member!
If you are not a member of a wholesale club I would recommend you use this and just walk the store. If you have been couponing for anytime you will find most items largely overpriced. There are a few items that we do get at Sam’s (if we happen to already be in the area).
Milk (reg. $2.82)
Butter 4lb for $6.50
Cheese around $1.60 per 8oz ($1.50 is my normal buy price)
Meat (I have seen some with complaints against their meat it is a good price)
Thats it… unless you are needing a big item like a new TV.
Why? My favorite example is Cereal.
You can buy a 3 Box pack of Frosted Flakes at Sams right now for $8.44. Or you can go to Bi-Lo this week and get 8 boxes FREE after rebate. Don’t want to mess with rebate? Get 3 boxes for $3.24 then!!
Another Example:
Bounty 20 roll pack $17.78 (get 20 rolls of Viva for $5.80 at Publix right now)
These deals do involve coupons and sales, but well that’s they way it works around here.
**Note: The fine print states not valid in SC or CA. I just called a store in SC and learned that they do not ever charge a guest upcharge (in this state), so you can use the coupon to get in if you want and the waiver doesn’t apply. I was told that you will not be able to write a check though**
