I love to bake from scratch, but sometimes you don’t have a lot of time and need to find a way to make baking simpler. At this time of year, there are so many events that you need to cook for that having some easy recipes on hand is helpful. One of my favorite ways to do this is to use a boxed cake mix. Instead of just making a cake or cupcakes straight from the recipe on the back of the box, you can use boxed cake mixes in other recipes to make truly fantastic desserts. Another great thing about these recipes is you can usually get a box of cake mix for around a dollar on sale (use the item search for cake mix!).
I’ve gathered up 36 of my favorite boxed cake mix recipes, everything from dump cake to bread to milkshakes! Remember that you can totally mix up which kind of cake mix you use for these recipes. There’s no reason you can’t make chocolate cinnamon rolls or strawberry pound cake!
