It’s October and fall is in the air! I’m glad pumpkins will be on sale this month! I’m excited for HOMEMADE PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pancakes…basically everything pumpkin! Recently I found cans of pumpkin puree at the store for about $1 a can, and I bought over a dozen. These won’t last too long, but they’ll let me keep doing my pumpkin baking for at least a little while. In addition to pumpkin items, here is what to buy in October based on grocery store trends.
If you are looking for a source that constantly updates, check out the NATIONAL FRUIT & VEGETABLE RETAIL REPORT issued by the government every couple of weeks. This report gives the top 10 fruits and vegetables and the national percentage of which fruits and vegetables are in store ads.
