Did you know that every area and paper gets different coupons in their inserts?
This is one of the biggest things that can frustrate couponers… we all want the great coupons but sometimes only a few select areas get them. Each week volunteers send in insert variation lists to show exactly what coupons were in their papers. I take these and put them into the coupon database. In turn you can then have shopping lists that only show the coupons in your area! Take a look at the coupon insert variations for 01/27, below.

January has flown by, hasn’t it? Maybe by now you’ve recovered from the holidays and are ready to find a normal rhythm again. For me, part of keeping our overall family life less chaotic means having a monthly meal plan, even if I still plan to go to the grocery store once a week.
Remember that meal planning is just one strategy to save money on groceries. A meal plan will serve you well, but having a stockpile you can draw from each month will save you even more money!

This monthly meal plan can be followed exactly as is! I’ve tried to include a variety of recipes over the course of the month. If you have certain diet restrictions, simply repeat some of the meals that you can eat, or plug in one of your favorite meals.
I’ve only included dinner ideas, because I know at our house, breakfast is pretty simple and everyone is kind of on their own for lunch. If you’re strapped for breakfast ideas, though, check out these pumpkin muffins—I’m making them tonight so we’ve got an easy option this week.
The monthly meal plan download includes links to all of the recipes and suggestions for side dishes, and you can print it! If there isn’t a side dish suggested, that means the meal itself is pretty balanced and you probably don’t need one—but don’t feel like you have to follow this rigidly! Take what’s helpful and run with it.
Hopefully our monthly meal plan will save you time as you look at February and plan your next grocery trip.
