Couponing is a great way to save your family money, but it’s also a great way to help others too! You might end up with a hundred tubes of toothpaste that you grabbed for FREE at the drugstores so share the love and donate a few.

10 Ways to Help Others With Coupons

Animal Shelter – The Humane Society, SPCA and other organizations are always looking for donations in the form of cleaning supplies, paper goods, pet items (food, treats, toys) etc. It’s not unusual for us to see FREE or nearly free wet food so grab them up to donate next time a deal comes up.

Crisis Pregnancy Center – Check out my list of Top Baby Deal or Top Baby coupons to save on diapers, wipes, and other baby items that the pregnancy centers could use. You can sometimes find diapers less than $5, wipes for $1 or less and FREE food too.

Local Food Bank – Next time you see a high-value Dole or Libby’s coupon, consider donating your extra cans to a food bank. Peanut butter, pasta, cereal, soups, canned fruits and vegetables are all items that can usually be donated plus they will usually take hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and more too!

Homeless/ Women’s Shelter- Nail Polish, Diapers, Feminine products, and cosmetics are just a few of the items that the shelters need.

Schools/Teachers – Classrooms can always use some extra school and cleaning supplies. Traditional school supplies are needed, but don’t forget the paper towels, baby wipes and other products needed to keep the classroom running too. Sometimes the teachers are left to buy some of these items, so it would be a huge help for them as well.

Church-Whether its office supplies, cleaning supplies, meals for attendees, churches can always use some donations. You might know a struggling family in need that could use come extra items too! Some church’s also sponsor drives or events too that can help benefit the community.

Meals- Make meals for those in need! Whether it’s for an elderly person, someone who is sick, a new mama or a family in need, you can use your couponing expertise to save and prepare a nice meal for an affordable price.

Operation Christmas Child- This is one of my favorite traditions during the Christmas season. These are shoe boxes that get sent over seas to kids all over the world in need. Pencils, hard candy, bar soap are just a few items that could go in your box and it’s never too early to grab your deals. These are items that will keep, plus the more you save, the more boxes you can fill.

Nursing Homes- Some nursing homes receive donations but it’s a good idea to call and see what their greatest needs are. Not all residents have family members close by to help get access to needed items so it’s a great way to serve the elderly.
