Did you know that every area and paper get different coupons?
This is one of the biggest things that can frustrate couponers… we all want the great coupon and only a few select areas got it. Each week volunteers send in their insert lists so to show exactly what came in your area. I take these and put them into the coupon database. In turn you can then have shopping lists that only show the coupons in your area! Take a look at this week’s coupon insert variations from 8/7.

On my journey to my goal weight, I’m always on the lookout for new treats that I don’t have to feel guilty about. I recently heard about Dasani Sparkling, a naturally flavored, zero calorie water beverage you can find at Kroger for only $2.99. I had to try it out. I’m not a fan of artificial sweeteners so this could be my perfect match. I know some folks who have transitioned from soda to sparkling to water. It’s a healthier choice and you still get the carbonation you crave.
I love fruity flavors, so I knew going into trying out Dasani that I’d probably want to add a little extra flavor. I decided to try my hand at “mocktails” for a healthier drink with no alcohol. Dasani Sparkling comes in six different flavors ( Lemon, Berry, Lime, Raspberry Lemonade, Black Cherry and Tropical Pineapple). My store had these three flavors, so I wanted to try them all out. To make my drink, I ordered a few flavors of new Vitality Young Living Oils and bought some extra fruit.
Going with essential oils gave me flavor (and some health benefits) without adding any extra calories. The carbonation was great for dispersing the oil into the drink too!
These Dasani Sparkling mocktails would be a great drink to serve your guests at a summer grilling get together. The pineapple flavor would go great with any kebabs you’re planning on serving up.
I added some fruit to each of my mocktails, which does add a few calories, but it was still fewer calories than a Coke or an alcoholic drink. My favorite drink that I tried ended up being the Lime Dasani Sparking with limes inside. I also added tangerine oil to this one! My favorite oils/flavors to add were: Lime, Grapefruit and Tangerine.
If you don’t mind adding a few more calories to your drink, I think adding real fruit juice to your drink would make it even more delicious. I love sweet drinks, and the Dasani Sparkling still has no sweetener, but the juice can make it more sweet for those of you who are true southerners like me and love your sweet drinks.
