I know the idea of leaving the house and getting out into traffic doesn’t sound exciting… but you really shouldn’t miss two incredibly easy and awesome deals at CVS this week! I’ve posted both of them, but sometimes just seeing how folks buy things helps it click for folks.
I went into CVS with $11 ExtraCare Bucks (ECB) from previous weeks deals. They were broken into a $5 and $6 ECB. I bought everything in the picture in two different transactions. (If you are brand new to CVS I’ll try to explain below what we bought why you want to split up transactions.)
Transaction #1
Bought:
(3) CVS Reflective White Toothpaste, 4.2 oz, $3.69
(1) Revlon Nail Polish, $3.19
Used:
-$3 off any CVS Brand purchase, $10 + from CVS coupon center
-$3 off Revlon Product, from CVS coupon center
-$6 ECB (from last week)
Total Due: $2.26
Got Back: $10 ECB
Transaction #2
Bought:
(3) Huggies Pull Ups, jumbo pack, $7.99
(1) Huggies Diapers, jumbo pack, $7.99
Used:
-$5 off Baby Care purchase, $30 + from CVS coupon center
-$2.25 off Huggies Pull Ups printable -$4/2 Huggies Pull Ups printable
-$2 off Huggies diapers printable
-$10 ECB (from transaction #1)
-$5 ECB (beauty club from last week)
Total Due: $3.71
Got Back: $10 ECB
Total for the entire trip, I spent: $5.97 out of pocket in real money and left the store with a $10 ExtraCare Buck to use on our next trip.
Now, why break them up?? I could have very easily put everything on the counter at the same time. However I would have owed $15.97 out of pocket. We still would have the same outcome leaving the store with $20 in ECB instead of $10, but… it really cost $10 more in real money. It only takes 3 more minutes to split things up and the cashiers are always super sweet about it (as long as you are ready and know your plan).
