If you want FREE toothpaste, cheap shampoo, and crazy diaper deals, you’re going to have to shop the drugstores. Once you have mastered the coupon and Reward System basics, it’s time to learn how to put it all together to save even more.

To maximize your savings at CVS, you’re going to want to get your hands on CVS Store Coupons. Here is everything you need to know to stack store coupons with manufacturer coupons and Extra Care Buck deals to get the best deals possible.

Tip: If you are new to couponing at CVS, first start by watching my short video. I will outline the basics for you and give you a better understanding of how to save in a drugstore. Then, follow the guide below as you embark on your journey to saving at CVS.

How To Save With CVS Coupons

                  cvs

                  1. Sign Up For A CVS ExtraCare Card – If you don’t have a CVS ExtraCare Card, head up to the front counter and ask for one. You will need to supply your email, phone number, name and address. This card will allow you print coupons at the in-store coupon center, plus it will track your savings toward ExtraCare Bucks or ECB.

In short, ECB are CVS’ reward system that prints “CVS money” off your next purchase. For example, when you buy $25 worth of hair care items, you can earn $5 ECB. You can then use the $5 ECB you earned toward your next in-store purchase.

                  coupons

                  2. Sign Up For CVS Email – Signing up to receive CVS emails is a quick and easy way to get coupons and deals sent right to your inbox. To sign up, visit CVS online and click “Sign Up For Emails.” The coupons you receive by email will be for a percentage or an amount off a purchase .

For instance, you may receive an email for 20% your purchase, which will come off along with with other coupons. CVS has also added a neat feature to its email program by allowing you to send the emailed coupon to your card. This can save you time and ink. The coupon will appear when you swipe your card at the register and meet the terms of the coupon.

                  CVS-magic-coupon-machine

                  3. Print Coupons At The CVS ExtraCare Coupon Center – You have probably seen it before. It’s red with a bright yellow top and it get’s lots of attention by fellow couponers. This is where you can scan your ExtraCare card, and it prints out store coupons. The coupons you get are based off what you buy. For example, if you buy razors, you will will see coupons for them. Say you want coupons for makeup, once you buy a product a few times, you should see coupons for makeup.

Every Monday, I post the coupons that people are receiving that week. You will not get every coupon, but it will give you an idea of what to expect. You can also log into your CVS account online to see what coupons will print.

Tip: If you print coupons today, but the items aren’t on sale, you can always save your coupons for another shopping trip. Also note that CVS store coupons have expiration dates, so make sure to pay attention to the date.

                  cvscoupon

                  4. Learn How To Stack Coupons – One of the great things about CVS is that you can stack a percentage off coupon with a printed store coupon! For example, if you receive an email for $5 off $25 or more, you can pair that with a $2 off razors coupon you printed in the store.

Tip:  Percentage off coupons cannot be used towards sale items, but you can use them towards a full priced item that earns ECB.

                  5. Revive Your ExtraCare Card Coupons – If you have been a long time customer to CVS and you always use your ExtraCare Card, but lately you have started to notice less and less coupons, then it is time to get a new card. All you need to do is ask for a new card at the counter and supply your information, but use a different email and name.

You can add a +1 to the end of your email if you are a gmail user. You would say your e-mail address is southernsaversfan+1@s.com instead of southernsaversfan@s.com. To select a new name, you can use your husband, cat, dog or anyone you like.

There you have it folks! These are my 5 ways to save at CVS. If you want more information about CVS’ coupon policy, you can read it here.
