Many of you have e-mail lately saying you are no longer receiving many coupons from the CVS Coupon Machine. It’s hard to get all of the best deals without those store coupons, so the solution is to get a new card.
I did this a few months ago and the coupon machine is very happy again. Before getting the new card I would only get 1 or 2 coupons (and usually for nuts and candy).
How To Get A New Card:
1.) Ask for a new card at the register.
2.) Register your card with a new e-mail address or add +1 to the end of your current e-mail address if you are on gmail.
(For example, you would say your e-mail address is southernsaversfan+1@s.com instead of southernsaversfan@s.com.)
3.) Use a different name but the same physical address. Use anyone you like as the name… your husband, dog, cat…
4.) Register at CVS.com for an online account plus register for the Beauty Club. Make sure to also sign up for CVS emails.
In terms of your old card, you simply need to stop using it. Use up all the ECB’s you have and move on. If you husband has one on his key chain be sure to switch his out too. You don’t need to do anything else to deactivate it.
On a personal soap box… you only need one CVS card. The reason to do this isn’t so you can clear shelves, it’s so you can get the best offers again.
Note: You will not be able to use your ECB or Beauty Club Rewards from your previous card with your new card. You will need to use up those ECBs before switching to a new card.
