We recently had 3 kittens given to us by a friend and it seems like we’re always emptying and filling the litter box. I love kittens, but my big rule when they came was that the kids had to take care of everything for them. This week for Frugal Date Friday we are heading to the apple orchard. You can enjoy fresh apples, sunshine, and exercise.
Our favorite Apple Orchard is Sky Top Orchard in North Carolina. They still have many varieties of apples available for picking. They also have apple cider and apple cider donuts.
The apples are $1.15 lb, and Cameo and Pink Lady Apples are our favorites.
If you are up for bringing others along with you on a date day, this would be fun for the whole family! Many apple orchards have hay rides, playgrounds, pumpkins, and more.
When you get home, you can make apple sauce, apple butter, and apple pies!
