July 13 is Krispy Kreme’s Birthday! They’re turning 76 and we get to celebrate by buying a dozen and get a second dozen for 76¢! Purchasing 24 doughnuts at once is a lot, but I’m sure it won’t be hard to find some friends to help you finish them…
I called my local store and the regular price is $7.99 for a dozen Original Glazed, so you get two dozen for $8.75 or 36¢ per doughnut.

I was feeling a little uninspired in my menu planning this week, so I stood in front of the pantry and made a list of things I needed to use up. A few cans of beans here, some crushed tomatoes there, umpteen boxes of pasta, some random blue cornmeal I picked up at a farmer’s market…You get the idea.
