Today is Saturday. That would mean that yesterday was Friday. So, I am late on sharing finals…
I’ve been at a blogging conference in Texas hanging out with tons of awesome women (and babies) and honestly forgot that yesterday was Friday. I also forgot to call home until midnight and probably skipped a meal or too as well.
We did go shopping this week. I hit Bi-Lo and Publix and had a great week! Our Bi-Lo trip was solely just to grab Toaster Strudels that were on sale for $1 before coupons, so basically pennies after coupons. I also grabbed a good amount of produce and some ground turkey while we were there.
Bi-Lo:
Total before sales and coupons: $71.08
Total Spent: $23.18
Total Saved: $47.90 or 67.3%
Publix was a longer trip to get a number of the BOGO deals that had coupons. We went over budget, but after not shopping last week I wasn’t surprised.
Publix:
Total before sales and coupons: $186.89
Total Spent: $72.55
Total Saved: $114.34 or 61%
In the end we came in under $100 which what was in the grocery budget for the last few weeks. This included milk, orange juice, bread, a beef roast, turkey, potatoes, strawberries, grapes, carrots, eggs and more. Of everything we bought I think the eggs were the most painful. Owning chicks now makes me want them to instantly lay eggs… I think it’s going to be a long 4 months until they live up to my expectations.
