You may want to consider incorporating Baskin-Robbins into your Valentine’s date night!  What girl (or guy for that matter) doesn’t love cake and ice cream??  Right now they have a new Conversation Heart ice cream cake that I’m sure is delicious.

They’re really cute bright heart-shaped cakes even come with a heart-shaped cake cutter.  Each cake comes with rainbow sprinkles around the bottom and comes with the saying, “Be Mine,” “Kiss Me” or “Love You.”  They’ll serve 2-4 people and cost $14.99 and you can even personalize the ice cream flavors and personal message.

I can’t think of a better dessert to top off a romantic date night than a yummy ice cream cake!

That’s a trick question…  the answer is FREE!  Seriously, there is no need to ever pay “real” money for toothpaste.  I did a news interview this week, and the host was amazed at the idea of free toothpaste.  Toothpaste is truly a drugstore purchase if your goal is to get it for free.  We’ll get cheap prices in the grocery stores, but the best prices are always using the reward systems at CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid.

So how exactly is it free?

To help you understand here’s a pretend example:

            $1.50 ECB wyb Z Brand Toothpaste, 4.2 oz, $2.50, limit 2
-$1 off Z Brand Toothpaste, coupon from recent paper

You go into CVS today and buy a specific toothpaste on sale this week for $2.50.  You use a 1 off coupon from a newspaper a few weeks ago.  You’ll then owe $1.50 for the toothpaste, pay it.  After you finish paying you’ll get back $1.50 in ExtraCare Bucks (ECB).  This is a pretend currency that can be used on most everything in the store.  I could even use it on more toothpaste…

Here are two real examples coming in the next few weeks:

            Walgreens (starting 2/3)

$2 RR WYB Colgate Max Fresh or Clean Toothpaste 4-6 oz, $2.99
Manufacturer Coupon -.50/1 Colgate toothpaste, 4 oz +, SS 2/03 or SS 1/20
            (makes it 49¢)

So you grab the toothpaste, and use the coupon.  Your total will be $2.49.  After you pay, you’ll get a coupon for $2 off your next purchase of anything in Walgreens.  In the end you basically paid 49¢ for Toothpaste.

Paying 49¢ for toothpaste is great… but once you get into this paying anything for toothpaste is kinda like paying full retail price.  So if you can wait another week, starting 2/10 at CVS you can get completely FREE toothpaste!!

            CVS (starting 2/10)

Colgate Max Fresh, Clean or White Toothpaste, 6 oz, $3
Store Coupon -$2.50 off Colgate Max Toothpaste, printing at CVS Coupon Center
Manufacturer Coupon -.50/1 Colgate toothpaste, 4 oz +, SS 2/03 or SS 1/20
            (makes it FREE)
