Walgreens is offering a $25 Walgreens Gift Card to anyone who transfers a prescription to their pharmacy. You will need to register online to get the offer.
I wanted to test this to see if it prints a coupon to take in or if you really have to do it all online, but all of our prescriptions are already at Walgreens… so I have nothing to transfer. If this does print out a coupon to take in don’t forget that most other pharmacies will accept competitor pharmacy coupons (even Kroger and Publix).
This deal expires on 4/30.
Subway is rewarding their early riser customers with a great B1G1 deal!
Buy a 6-inch Subway Sandwich before 9 a.m. and get another for Free! This deal will start tomorrow (April 1st) and run through the entire month of April.
Be sure to check with your local subway store to see if they are participating.

The office supply deals starting 4/1 aren’t too thrilling, but if you need something… here ya go. My favorite deal is actually the Martha Stewart labels in ad coupon in the Staples ad. These look to be really cute home organization and canning labels and with the coupon will make some packs pretty cheap.

This week we decided to finish the month with a grocery budget surplus and eat from the pantry. This was a tad bit of a challenge after losing most of our frozen stockpile a few weeks ago, but I was game for it. I actually think our kids love these weeks, because meals get a little interesting.
Our favorite meal hands down this week was nachos. We took canned kidney beans and made our own refried beans, and then added hamburger meat and taco seasoning (a great seasoning to have premixed in large batches yourself). I was intending to make burritos out of all of it until I realized that I only had flour burritos which my husband can’t eat… so I turned to the bag of corn tortilla chips that had been in the pantry for ages (I feel like you earn double points during clean out the pantry weeks when you get rid of old pantry items). I can’t tell you the last time my kids ate dinner with out a “you must eat at least 3 bites”… it was wonderful, so much so that nachos will probably be added to list of regular meals!
I plan to start April off kinda big budget wise, which was part of the skimping this week. We are planning a meal for a large group next weekend of low country boil (not the cheapest meal) and have Easter dinner.
How did you do this week with your savings (or just being frugal). Leave a comment or a link to your savings post.
