        I’m Calling Corporate

Here's what you need to know about calling your store's headquarters. Whether it's a coupon policy or something else, this is good to know!

If you have a problem or issue with a store the best thing you can do is to call the corporate office. It only takes a minute to lodge a complaint but it can solve some serious headaches for you in the future.Odds are it will take you less time to call the corporate office than you would spend arguing with cashier and store manager every time you go in that store.

What should you call corporate about:

Any “new policy” that is completely different from what you know has been the policy in the past.

        • “We no longer take printable coupons”
        • “You can’t stack a store coupon and manufacturer coupon”
        • “We can’t double that coupon because the item would be free”

A cashier or store manager that treats you like a criminal or thief for using coupons.

Any other bad experience (or good experience).

**Good experiences are great to share and help to encourage your store**

You might feel like you are bothering them or wasting their time, but there is a person at that corporate office whose entire job is to answer the phone and take complaints and compliments. You are not pulling someone from some other job in the company.

If you think someone else will call and complain, realize that if one person calls it is noted and maybe fixed but if two or more people call action is taken to solve the problem.

        What do you need:
Before you call get your store number or location handy. It is usually printed on your receipt. This is needed no matter the purpose of your call. They can look it up for you but it makes it easier for you to know it.

If you are calling about a particular product have the box/packaging handy they will need numbers off of it.

If you have a compliment or complaint about a specific person then knowing their name does help.

          pg50

I have been getting a lot questions about the $120 Savings Booklet for a few weeks, so I thought I would post an answer for all to see.

This booklet was a rebate promotion that Procter & Gamble ran in January this year.  To get the booklet you had to purchase $50 in P&G products and mail in reciepts.  The promotion ended in Mid February.

If you submitted a rebate for the promotion and did not get your booklet yet, go here to check the status of your rebate.

Rumor is that certain Kroger test stores/areas will be running a triples coupon promotion starting tomorrow 4/09-4/12.  Most of the confirmed stores that I have seen are in Michigan and Ohio but it doesn’t mean that stores in the south couldn’t plan to participate.

If you have a store that is participating leave a comment and let us know where.

There is a new coupon booklet out!  It has $10 in coupons including one for a FREE bottle of Ketchup.  Go here to request yours.  (It’s free so you might as well.)  It 1 per household, but if your parents or friends don’t coupon send one to them and get them to give it to you.

              Want another coupon book?

              signup_mainhdr

You can sign up for the Home Made Simple Booklet if you haven’t gotten one recently.  They will send 2 per household per year.  The last one we got had a coupon for a FREE dishwasher rinse agent plus over $30 in other coupons. (thanks Amy)

                Upromise eCoupons

Since we are in e Coupon mode today…

Upromise has also loaded new e coupons for the month of April.  These are a little different than the other e coupons for a few reasons:

                • You can use them at almost any store!
                • The money does not come off at the register but is put into your Upromise account.
                • Load as many coupons as you want, there is no limit.

Why use the Upromise e coupons?
Normally when you buy something that gives you money back for college it gives you .03 -.10 cents for the item.  Using the e coupons you are increasing the amount significantly that you get back.

Can I use a coupon too?
Yes!  These are not tied to coupons or discounts in the store.  They are rewards from the manufacturer for using Upromise and buying their product.

                I don’t have a kid…
Not a problem.  We had a Upromise account for almost 2 years before our kids were born.  Once we had kids we went in and changed the beneficiary from our names to our kids names.  Grandparents can also sign up and have it go to their grandchildren!  We have 3 sets of grandparents all saving a little bit for our kiddos.  You can change the beneficiary at any time.

How much can you really save?
Well, you aren’t going to send them to Princeton just from your savings, but it can be a nice chunk of money by the time they get there.  It depends on how much you remember to use their system.  We have been a member for almost 6 years and have over $3000 saved.  Since we have 3 kids this won’t go very far but it is $3000 that we didn’t have to dig up to save.  (No it’s not all from e coupons, they just started the e coupon system last year.)

                Now For The Coupons…

$1 wyb (3) Nestle Toll House Morsels

                $1 wyb (2) Post Cereals

$1 wyb (2) Nestle Toll House Refrigerated cookie dough

$1 wyb (2) Johnsonville Breakfast Sausages

                .75/1 Little Debbie Muffins
