I know I can’t believe it myself that we’re near the end of March already!!

    • Rille

The Plumrose turkey breast (12 oz) expired on March 23 and the ham (16 oz) also on sale , expires on March 30th. Never saw out of date products at Publix before.

      • Couponeagle11

I bought hot dogs on the last sale and they had been expired for a month

      • Gigi

I live in S. Atlanta and very often see very expired cold cuts and yogurt.  Lots of expired Morningstar Farms chicken tenders recently, too.  Always a good idea to check the date, if you have time!

        • Sarah

Just FYI, there are no worries with “expired” yogurt, particularly with the higher quality ones, as yogurt is cultured and can last waaay past the printed date.  That’s one of the only truly great deals at Kroger–when the organic yogurt gets close to date, they put it on “Managers Special”, often for as much as 75% off the original price.  I’ve come home with bags and bags of yummy Brown Cow brand yogurt that was within a day or two of its expiration date, and eaten on it for weeks.  :)  Expired cold cuts, on the other hand, I wouldn’t touch!

          • SC Susie

I always buy yogurt, sour cream, buttermilk, and cottage cheese that is marked down.  It all had technically “soured” anyway and as Sarah said, will last in the frig much longer than the date on the container.

      • Wendi

When I see expired products at Publix, I always tell an employee and they take them off the shelf immediately. Probably 90% of the time they tell me that the vendor stocks those items and that’s why they are still on the shelf.

      • Twylarougeau

The onions were molded at the Vista store Columbia SC today, I was shocked I have never seen anything but perfect produce at publix

    • hcheyg

ss3/25 and ss1/08 have coupons for laughing cow

    • Couponeagle11

I see that Mascarpone Cheese is on sale would love me some authentic tiramisu…and a cappucino

      • Missy

I know that’s right.  I love tiramisu, so I probably shouldn’t indulge, but it’s my favorite!

    • Timberlyfreeman

Llyods barbeque tubs b1g1 $5.99(2.99) $1 off coupon don’t know what pack its out off. I live in TN maybe regional

    • Mia

Can anyone explain to me about the unilever coupons it says on them cannot combine with another offer? Whats that we cant use store coupons with this coupon?

    • Ginny

Was looking for the Laughing Cow coupon and came across $1 Polamer All Fruit with Fiber coupon in SS 1/8.

      • tori729

There is also a $1/2 coupon on their website (polanerallfruit dot com).

    • Susie

I used the Target coupon for Ragu today at Publix and I was NOT allowed the use the $.50 unilever coupon because of that.  I also wasn’t allowed to use my B1G1 Coffee Mate because it wouldn’t scan.  They’ve always manually entered those in the past.  Ticked me off.

      • Amie

That doesn’t make any sense unless it was because of the wording on the unilever coupon. It seems like they should have taken those vs the store Q so they wouldn’t lose money. It is my understanding that they are supposed to take one store and one manf. Last time I shopped I was told that they only accept one competitor coupon per transaction. That was totally new to me. The cashier happily offered to do a second transaction and I did so, but it was a waste of time and I don’t know why that time it was like that. My store has always manually entered coupons that don’t scan. I’m not sure if this helps, but Walgreens has coffee mate 2/$3 and you can price match at Walmart if you want. I got the BOGO q and 75 cents off and paired them for very cheap creamer.

      • Savn2gether

Thanks for letting us know! I guess that could’ve been because the unilever coupon states, “cannot be combined with another offer.” I’ve never had any trouble stacking Target and manufacturer’s coupons at my Publix. I’m grateful for the heads-up, since the 9 cents Ragu was definitely on my shopping list! :)

      • Sueziesaver

I was able to use both the Target and the Unilever coupon at my Publix

    • Meredith Shaddix

I’m a cashier at Publix and I have been there for four and a half years. We are allowed to take one manufacturer OR one competitor coupon for each item in addition to a Publix coupon (if applicable.) You could have used the target coupon or the uniliever, or a target and a publix or uniliever and a publix, but not target AND uniliever. The coffee mate is strange though… there is not a reason why they should not have manually done that. (Unless you just ticked them off. Cashiers and CS staff (I have been both) Are MUCH less willing to work with someone who’s trying to force their way than someone who is being nice and not trying to jerk us around for 50 cents. )

      • Freedomspradley1

I always thought you could stack a Publix store coupon OR a competitor store coupon with a manufacturer coupon.  Doesn’t make much sense to eliminate the use of the manufacturer coupon with a competitor coupon since you can get reimbursed for the manufacturer coupon but not the competitor.

        • Mbcoups

You can – it says so right in Publix coupon policy.  You can use a manufacturer coupon + either a store or competitor coupon.

      • Freedomspradley1

I just pulled this off the Publix website:

        Coupon Stacking

Q: Can a store coupon, competitor coupon, and manufacturer’s coupon all be used for one item?

A: No, a manufacturer’s and a Publix or competitor coupon, but not both, may be used.

Sounds like you can stack a competitor coupon with a manufacturer coupon after all.

      • Kimgay182

I love Publix. I only started shopping Publix when I started couponing and I really enjoy shopping there. The cashiers are always very friendly, the stores in Savannah and Pooler, GA are very clean, and their meats are fresh. I think you have to pay more for their meats, but it is well worth it. Hope all your customers are friendly to you Meredith. Keep up the good work.

      • clsmman

I don’t know what Publix you work at but I work at one in Meridianville Al. & our policy is either one (1) Man.coup.& one (1) either Publix or competitor not a Publix & a Competitor

      • mrn1

That is the way it used to be before they made the official coupon policy.  Not true anymore.

    • Delores

Aldi has the Kerry Gold Dubliner  Cheese 7 oz for $2.99

    • joann

can you give me information on advertising on this page please.

    • Susie

Unilever says cannot be redeemed with any other offer.  I was aware of that but Publix has in the past taken those.  And personally, I’ve always been super nice about coupons and never argued so that wasn’t it.  And yes, they manually enter coupons all the time for me.  It was the cashier.

    • Missy

Yesterday at the Publix in Hiram, GA, the cashier asked for my coupons ahead of time, organized them all by product (very slowly I should add), and then proceeded to scan each item and match it with the corresponding coupon ONE AT A TIME.  I understand that coupon fraud has become a problem, but expecting customers to be at checkout for 30 minutes is just plain ridiculous – especially when you have refrigerated/frozen items thawing on the belt.  All of my coupons were correct, as I painstakingly plan my trips ahead of time so this sort of thing does not happen.  I just wanted to give a heads up to others that may shop here – I don’t know if this is new store policy, or the cashier was just having an “off” day.  She did mention that the store manager had come down on cashiers to start doing this.  And FYI, I was able to use the target and both manufacturer q’s for 2 ragu sauces!  :)

      • Natalie

I shop at the Publix in New Hope and they do that to me every time now.  I hate holding up the line for so long.  :(

        • Nicole

I shop at the one in Smyrna, GA and never had an issue.. but then again Im there everyday…

      • JO

Most cashiers at my Publix like to have them matched up ahead of time, because some of their cashiers have been fired in recent months for not paying close attention to the coupons that go through. Unfortunately, not all of their customers are honest like me and you. Out of respect to them, I ask first how they prefer them and quickly match them up as I put them on the belt. If I have a $5/$30 Winn Dixie Coupon, I give it to them first and remind them that my total will be over $30 before coupons. It is a pain, but I would not want anyone to risk their job security over me and my coupons.

        • cookinmom

yes, I too have asked and when they say they like to match them up as it goes through, everytime they will not give me my $5 off…enough to piss off the pope!

      • tori729

That’s happened to me before as well. Just remember it’s not your fault; it’s the cashiers who choose to do it this way. I usually just steer clear of those ones if I know ahead of time – not because I want to slip some wrong coupons past them because I don’t and I try to make sure all of my coupons are legit – but for the sake of time and my kids’ patience and the people behind me!

      • Patfarris

well, some cashiers have asked me for my Q’s ahead of time and I politely say no, I don’t have them ready yet. Which is the truth. I tell them I want to make sure I am giving them the right Q’s first. I then give them to them after I see the total then give them the 5 off of then 1 Q at a time. I spend too much time  I don’t want them to miss one. I am always polite tho.

Philadelphis Indulgence was ringing up 4/$5 at my store today.  I was thrilled!!! And because I had a raincheck for it (yellow flyer raincheck 2/$4, but they honored the currect sale price).  they let me use the yellow flyer $2 off 2 coupons.

    • Angel in Charleston

Should every store have these deals? The Lloyd’s BBQ wasn’t marked and the meat clerk wasn’t aware of it being on sale.

      • tori729

If they are unadvertised then it’s hit or miss. If they aren’t in the ad, you have no way to prove they are on sale. These are just deals that Jenny or someone else has found going through the store and it definitely differs. I would take these deals with a grain of salt and not be surprised if your store doens’t have them.

    • Guest

If your Publix accepts Sweetbay. In todays Sunday paper there is a $10.00 off your purchase of $50.00 or more. (offer good through Tuesday 4-10-12)

    • A&A Momma

My Publix in Pooler, GA did not have Lloyd’s BBQ on sale :(

    • Swashdawg

I won’t buy Lloyds BBQ again. The last 2 times we’ve eaten it, it had a bunch of cartilage and fat. My kids won’t eat it…I’ll wait for Curley’s.

      • Happy21234

yep, we had the same problem… just doesn’t taste right at all!! doesn’t matter how inexpensive it is, we’ll never get Lloyds brand agan.

        • Kaoscasa

So easy to make your own in the crock pot. Put a boston butt in there overnight.  Then shred, add onions and Kraft bbq and a bit of brown sugar.  Cook for 2 to 3 hours on low.  Yum!!
