Pickles on sale…yay!! Vlasic is sending me a coupon. I hope I get it before this sale ends!

• dianebenatar

how are you getting it?

• SoniaT

I emailed them and told them how much I love their pickles and mentioned that I wish they would offer coupons more often. A couple of days later they sent me an email saying that I would be getting a coupon in the mail. It was a very nice surprise!!

• I did the same thing with Eckrich sausage and got a ton of $1 off coupons. If you really love a product and you email a company it is pretty common for them to send coupons.

• I'm most happy about the yogurt! I am almost out! Need a restock.

with the crazy coupons…I know you can use manQs on each product but can you use store coupons against the items too? I got some target store Qs for tide and the tide stain release that I could use too ..thanks!

• DonnaSTN

Yeah, that's called stacking. You can use a man q, publix store q and a competitor coupon as long as your store will allow it.

• Snellmom

Most Publix stores will NOT allow you to stack a competitor Q with a store Q because it is like using two store Q's since they do not get reimbursed. There are always exceptions, though.

• angela

I spoke to our Publix customer service one day and they told me that they actually do get credit for Food Lion Qs. Not sure how that works, but that is how he explained it.

• Thank you Jenny. I am glad this week will be kinda slow for me. There are a few things I'll pick up but I am in need of a break!

Now I just can't wait to find out what coupons Food Lion releases and what the penny item will be!

• griffins00

did you know you can get a sneak peek of the Food Lion coupons by signing up for them?? there are Kellogg's cereal coupons this week…awesome!

• I didn't know that! Thanks!

• tonya

this month's marie claire has a $2 of skintimate coupon!!!!!!

• tonya

SORRY GUYS….NOT marie claire but COSMO has the $2 off skintimate.

• WynetteC

In the Tide Scenario, I didn't see the Publix store coupons listed from 'Go on a shopping spree flyer' .
Free Tide Stain Release 10 ct. with purchase of 100 oz. Tide. Store Coupon
$1 off Downy Product Store Coupon.
Also your “deal idea: says to buy 18 ct stain release, why not the 10 count…specifications in the above showed that it was:

$8 off wyb both above and Tide Stain Release 10-34ct or 20-36oz, $3.99-$11.99,

so that would reduce the amount owed a great bit. But I am too tired to do the math. Just excited to think the possibility of these store coupons with this deal.

Does anyone know if you can use store coupons with this deal or is it a choose one or the other type thing? I am excited hoping we can.

• Morgan

I believe the 'Go on a Shopping Spree' coupons state they cannot be used with any other coupon (I think it's on the back).

• Heather

You cannot use two store coupons. If you use the coupons from the ad, you cannot use the ones from “Go on a shopping spree” also. It would be like stacking two manufacturer Q's. HTH

• AmyN

You can also use your receipt towards the P&G Year of Savings Q Book.

• Michelle

On the tide stain release, since it is going to be FREE, you would want to get the largest one that is within the limits of the coupon.

• 3monkeysmom

I did this deal today:
(1) Tide 100 oz $15.29
(1) Downy Ultra $8.49
(1) Stain Release 10 ct $3.99
-$1 off Tide PG 3/07
$1 off Downy PG 2/07
$1 off Downy (stocking spree coupon )
Free Stain Release 10 ct (stocking spree coupon)
-$8 off in ad coupon
Total Due: $12.78

I also bought a 100 oz Gain detergent. On sale for $9.99, used $0.50 manu. q (doubled) and the $1 store q from the stocking spree flyer. Got it for $7.99.
I know the back of the stocking spree q's said you can't combine with another q but they took them both :-)

• AStone

My Publix took the stocking spree coupon, and I bought Downy (21 loads) for $4.99. My total for all 3 items were $8.48! I also used a mani q for $1off Tide Stain Release. It was so exciting!

• jhillpot

A slow week for me, which is good- my cupboards are bulging! Thanks very much for always getting this together for us!

• mtptt

I just started buying baby formula. I can use the in-ad publix coupon with the food lion coupon? I didn't think you could use 2 store coupons?

Also…did you all get the HUGE coupon book in the mail from Target this week? It's great!

• DonnaSTN

You can use a publix store coupon and a foodlion coupon is considered as a competitor coupon along with a man q.

• Logibearsmommy

I thought that we couldn't use a Food Lion and a Publix Store coupon? I thought they were both considered store coupons? If we can, that's great!

• Depends on the store. Our store will let you stack ANY two coupons (be it manu/store, store/comp, or manu/comp). Some stores treat store and competitors coupons the same (i.e. you cannot stack a store with a competitor). And some stores will let you stack ALL THREE. Find out what your store's policy is.

• Misty

It depends on your store- some count a competitor's coupon as a store coupon, so they will tell you that you can only have either/or- either a competitor's coupon or a Publix store coupon to stack with the manufacturer's coupon. My store no longer takes both a competitor and store for the same item… You can ask your service desk, or just try it, but don't be shocked if your coupon gets rejected. Hope this helps.

• kathy1949

How do you go about getting the TArget booklet in the mail?

• Megan

I also get the booklets…. I think I get them because I had a baby registry at Target.

• mtptt

I had baby registry too so maybe that is why they are coming.

• Krista_A

Which formula are you using? I have lots left, my son is turning 1 on Monday so I need to get rid of it! If you are interested, its the blue Similac Advance formula.

• mtptt

I am interested and using similac. I finished a free mail sample and bought a canister the other day.

• mtptt

if you are selling the similac let me know. you can call me at 4237187531….melissa

• Brenda

Does anyone know what zip code will give the Bird's Eye Steamfreash Meals for 2 coupon? Not finding it…..

• mtptt

No- I've been looking for it for over a week.

• lucy2778

32835 worked for me, but limit might be reached, so you don't see it.

• Jan

Thanks, Jenny! Anybody know a good zip to get the Steamfresh meals Q?

• DonnaSTN

I actually saw this earlier but I wasn't paying attention to the zip, was just browsing through. Wish I had paid attention so I could help! If I find it I will let you know.

• Rebecca

the last time i saw IPs for $1.50 off the MEALS was 11/09. the website now offers a q off the vegies only.

• Lucie

Newbie here… need help. I have a B1G1 for Ken's Dressing and -$1/2. Can I pair this with the store deal, and if so, how would that work? Thanks!

• Yes, you can use those coupons with a sale. I am going to assume that both coupons are manufacturer coupons. If so, you would buy 3 items to use both a B1G1 coupon and a $1/2 coupon. Do you have another B1G1 coupon you can use? Then you could buy 4 items, use 2 B1G1 and the $1/2 for an even better deal!

• I mean to say that you can use those coupons for this sale as long as the coupons are for the size/type that is on sale or the coupon does not indicate a specific size or type.

• DonnaSTN

I would think you would have to get 3 of them in order to use your b1g1 and the 1/2. You could use a $/1 q along with the b1g1 q so that's what I'm basing that on..HTH..

• Lucie Grace

Thanks, MrsD05 and Donna! I see how it would work now. Unfortunately, I'm bound by the “do not apply in FL” exception for B1G1. :( Appreciate the help though!

• dawn

I got that coupon, too, but I think it is for the 8 oz bottles.

• Toni

I saw posted on another site that the BOGO sale is for the 7 oz and 16 oz only and excludes the 8 oz. The BOGO coupon that I have is for the 8 oz. only. I haven't been to the store to check, but just check your sizes carefully. Because if it is as posted, the coupon will not work.

• shelly

where do you see the harveys milk dollar at? Its not on the connection??

• Rebecca

Harvey's keymail this week.

• At the rise of confusing y'all newbies even more :-)

I found a tearpad coupon in Publix today for $1 off milk when you buy Sara Lee bread (I believe it was any type). That is the bread that I buy normally so I was super excited. Plus, there was a coupon a few weeks ago in the regular Sunday ads for Sara Lee Bread. So I'll buy the Cheerios, milk and bread and save an extra $1 on the scenario Jenny worked out, plus I still have the coupon to use for my bread!

Jenny… I just can't say enough nice things about ya!

• diane

I thought that sara lee coupon was for February. Did you find one for March? My Publix doesn't usually have them out for some reason.

• Yes, this is a brand new one with a March expiration date! Love these Sara Lee coupons. :-)

• GAmeg

I've done this deal a couple of times – found a new $1 off milk coupon yesterday in the bread display with a 4/15 exp date. Also great to pair with the printable for the bread – on the Sara Lee website, I got 2 .75 off bread ones!

• nikbri

there was a .55q in march all you. exp 4/30

• I just got these coupons from a banner ad…It is for Del Monte Fruit , there are 4 coupons, 1 for $1 off Del Monte Fruit Bowl, $1 off (3) Del Monte Fruit Naturals Cups, $1 off any one Del Monte Orchard Select or Sun Fresh Refrigerated Glass Jar , and $1 off (3) Del Monte Super Fruit Cups. You have to sign up but it is good coupons, I don’t think you can use them with the Del Monte fruit this week but nice to have. The site is http://www.fruitundressed.com/offers/?utm_campaign=F10Produce&utm_source=N5831.Media6&utm_medium=banner

• Lisa

Finally, I can do one small trip to Publix for this ad:) I've been getting worn out with all of their deals the past couple weeks, going 2 or 3 times in one week!! LOL! Thanks for your funny coupon match-ups. I wasn't even going to bother with them, but you've shown me a couple good deals. Thanks!

• mama71fl

thank you jenny-looks like a good week to take off for me-i so appreciate all you do

• Melissa H

Are we sure the $7 off Enfamil is on one can? I've only ever seen them do the $7 wyb two cans in one purchase …

• you are right, sorry about that!!

• Melissa Hauer

Also, anyone come across a valid print zip for the $1 Angel Soft Q? Thanks!

• Rebecca

For the coke/digiorno/fresh express deal….

There is a Harvey's q for $1/1 DiGiorno pizza!!

Buy: [3 x $1.59 (coke)] +
[1 x $6.65 (pizza)] +
[2 x $3.99 (salad)] +
[$2 deli purchase]= 21.40
Use: [-2.75 (publix buy all 3)]
[-$1/1 DiGiorno 200 Calorie Pizza (blinkie)]
[-$1.50/2 Fresh Express Salad (SS 2/21)]
[-$2 off Deli wyb (3) Coke 2 liters (publix cpn-yellow adv buy)] = 7.25 in coupons
{plus for me $3/15 Rite Aid q = 10.25 in coupons}
Total: 21.40 – 7.25 = 14.15 {11.15 if your store allows Rite Aid $/$$ coupons!!!}

• DKelleycoupons

Excuse me but I'm new to this and was wondering what did Jenny meant when she said “in ad coupon”? Which in ad is she refering to? I don't see anything anywhere for $3 off the cereal, milk and granola. Please help and thank you…

• Rebecca

In the Publix sale flyer. :)

• Debbie

Thanks Rebecaa…but coule you please tell me where in the sale flyer…I'm totally not seeing it. Again thanks

• Debbie

NEVERMIND…I was looking at LAST WEEKS sales flyer…silly me. Thanks again Rebecca!

• handieeeeee

I cannot find the hebrew national coupon in my smartsource. Why?

• Not all areas get the same coupons. Jenny posts the regional variations but I don't believe she has posted last weeks. I think she's been a little busy with her match ups! :-) I think she usually posts the variations on Thursday or Friday.

It can be frustrating but it is very common to either not get a coupon or get a coupon of a different amount.

• Gabi

If you need some, I have three $.75/1 coupons I won’t use. Just email me your address gabipierce@aol.com

• handieeeeee

Thanks but I just found and ordered some from “the coupon clippers”.

• I am not sure which insert this is from, but I have a Land O Lakes Fresh Buttery Taste Spread $0.50/1 Q from a precious insert, which would make the Land O Lakes Spread 9 cents.

Also, I believe our Publix has a whole coupon booklet full of Land O Lakes 55 cent off butter coupons in the Ad/ Booklet Case at the front of the store (please only take two coupons if you find this booklet).

Also, there was a Publix coupon in the Smartsource insert this week for a FREE YOPLAIT GREEK YOGURT 6oz cup… can't beat free!!!

• diane

You CAN beat free- last night I got the free yogurt(3 of them) along with .30 coupons – which they doubled!

• Leah_in_SC

I did too Diane. I thought it was a great deal until my husband and I tried them. YUCK! My husband's response was…”tastes like really old milk of magnesia”. I hope you like it better than we did. =)

• lucy2778

I actually LOVED the free yogurt. I can't believe that it's only 100 calories (plain) or 130 calories (flavored). But how did you guys get 3 of those or more? It says “one per customer”.

• Leah_in_SC

Lucy – I picked up one when I did my regular grocery trip Sunday and one more when I stopped in on my way home from work Monday afternoon.

• lucy2778

Good job. I've done this too on several trips :)

• Christina

Thank you for following policy =) I did too, but also thought it was nasty. So I'm going to give my coupons to someone else lol

• Lucy

I wish I could give my coupons to someone else, but most of my friends and family don't even want to bother with coupons, so I don't bother asking. Too bad for them I guess :)

• Carrie

You can’t do it for this particular coupon because it is a store coupon, but for manufacturer coupons, whichever ones you don’t use you can pass on to a military base. They are able to use coupons up to 6 months after they expire. That is one small way that we couponers can help our military families. Here are a few to try:http://www.ocpnet.org/Incirlik Coupon Program39FSS/FRFSUnit 7505, Box 175APO, AE 09824

• dianebenatar

I had my first today. I brought it to work and forgot to put it in the fridge, but just for a few hours. Then I tried it and thought – could this be bad? I guess not. So, I agree with you.

• GA Mom

I agree, the Yoplait Greek yogurt is nasty! Glad it was free b/c it ended up in the trash. We LOVE greek yogurt and will stick with the Organic brands we've been buying for years. The Yoplait is missing the fruit/honey on the bottom that makes the others so delish. Also, the thick, creamy texture is the best part of Greek yogurt and the Yoplait's texture was curdled…blech. Last, I couldn't tell (by reading the container) if it was natural or not, so I'm guessing it's not :(

• Lucy

I didn't like the texture that much either, but considering it has about 26% of daily protein, it's much better for me than eating meat. :)

• leighellen

Where did you get the .30 q's?

• You know the more I look at this ad the more I see that is worth getting; this is definitely not a $40 Publix week like last week (and quite frankly my budget could not handle it if it were), but it is better than the 3 or 4 items I originally saw that seemed to be all I would get. I now have a list of about 7 items I plan to get and an additional 3 items I might get (multiples of each item of course).

What looks good to me:
Land O Lakes Butter – 9 cents after $0.50/1Q
YoPlait Yo-Plus – 25 cents after $1/1 Q
Pringles – 63 cents each for 1st 2 ($1/2Q) and then $1 each after that ($1/4Q)
Gorton's Grilled Fish – $1.50ea after coupons
2 Old El Paso Products (-$0.55Q)
1lb Ground Beef – 69 cents after Q
Del Monte Fruit Chillers – 66 cents after Q

Ragu – $1.09 (Publix coupon booklet cannot be found around here and do not have 30/1Q)
Flat-Out Bread – 94 cents after Q
Publix Sodas – B2G1

• Anonymous

Damien, send me an email to crazy.couture@yahoo.com with ur address and I’ll send you the coupon booklet

• Snowski824

For the general mills product in the funny in ad coupon could you use the chocolate cheerios and the two coupons from that? The Man. .55/1 and the $1/1 Publix coupon?

• You probably could. The coupon says “Selected varieties of General Mills Cereal”. I guess it depends on which varieties the store selects. I am going to try it at my store and see.

• SM

• SM

Hi Jenny
Forgot to highlight that there is a B1G1 Free store coupon for Earth's Best that is not listed.

• beth963

I thought that was a coupon too, but there is no Look up number on it so I guess its just an ad for the sale that started today.

• SM

Thanks for correcting me.

• erunner4y

I cannot find the $1/6 Earth's Best coupon? Is there a zip code I need to use?

• seagull7

I couldn't find it either. the print limit must be reached. I'm hoping my store has the tearpad for $1/7

• calebsmomma

you can print coupons from the Earth's Best website. They are for $1/7.

• I can't find the $1/6 Earth's Best coupon either…anyone have a tip?

• CCB

I was in Publix Monday and they refused Food Lion and Harveys coupons. Our store said they would only take local grocery stores coupons (Target) but not CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreen.

• ANW30606

Our Publix's in this area (Athens, GA) will no longer accept Target coupons, only coupons from grocery stores. I think it all depends on the cashier you get though!

• leighellen

Was that at Atl Hwy or the east side?

• couponannie

I had a problem with a few of my Kroger cashiers so I called and talked with the store manager and he told me that if it meant me shopping there or taking my business elsewhere he would definitely take any competitor's coupons. I'd talk to the manager to at least give it a try!

• RMD

Also if your store takes Bilo as a competitor, you can take the $3/1 in ad coupon for from Bilo and use it on the Nestle Good Start.

• carly

Im new to the coupon game and love this site! It is such a time saver. Question, where do I get the “in ad” coupons for the top deals ($3 off when you buy cherrios, milk, and clusters)?

• debbie

Should be in the Publix ad of today's paper

• Lana

You can click on them in the online ad http://www.publix.com and then you can print them if you don’t get the actual ad.

• Jennifer

You can also go to publix.com and view the ad, then click on the coupon in the add and print it.

• Lucy

Go to Publix.com, click on “services”, click on “weekly ad”, click on “coupons” on the left.

• Katie

HUGE QUESTION!! Why does it say I have already printed the number of allowable coupons for EVERYTHING? I haven't printed any of these before?! Any help??

• Lana

Because the print limit has been reached-I wish they would say that instead of telling you that you have printed the number allowed.

• socoupon

I don't get the paper on Wednesdays – will I be able to get the in-ad coupons from the circular in the store? Or are they like the penny item coupon? Thanks!

• Lana

If you go to the ad online you can click on the coupon and then you can print it.

• socoupon

Sweet! Thank you!

• Pam

The Publix on Savannah Highway in Charleston, SC no longer accepts Harvey's coupons. I was always surprised that they did and there are not that many available anyway so, no big deal. I love this Publix. They are the best!

• Tonya

What zip code should I use to the get the AngelSoft coupon from Red Plum?

• kimana517

Man, I wish the Eight O'Clock Coffee coupons would reset! I've printed them all from the 4 computers I have access to! That coffee is great and at $1.50/bag you just can't beat it! Maybe I'll go to the library. They have like 20 computers… hmm…

Also excited about the Yo-Plus. My yogurt stash in the freezer only has one 4-pack left!

Thanks Jenny!

• selinaj

Since you said your yogurt stash was in the freezer..I've gotta ask if it changes the consistency of it at all? I was given a bunch of yogurt at one point that had been frozen and the consistency was terrible (watery & cottage cheese like) after it thawed out in the fridge. Or do you just eat it frozen?

• kimana517

Haha, no the consistency is totally wrong for me too, but the flavor is fine. If I kept it all in the fridge, it would go bad before I eat it, so I just deal with the weird consistency. I have found that the Yo-Plus is probably the worst for freezing though. The Fiber One Yogurt post-frozen consistency is not as bad. I have also found that adding granola helps the consistency not seem bad at all, but honestly I'm just used to it now and no longer mind it as it is. Not-previously-frozen yogurt seems so creamy now that its like a real treat! LOL!

• selinaj

Ok…I thought maybe it might have just been that brand…it was the dannon crushables for kids. I DO know that the Yoplait WHIPS are WONDERFUL frozen! And yes…I agree…granola in yogurt is DELICIOUS (I also add fruit from the fruit cups if I have any)

• couponannie

My kids LOVE frozen yogurt (especially the gogurt/ stick type yogurt). They eat it frozen like a pop (and actually prefer it that way). I often pop a box in my freezer and one in my fridge. (I have 3 kids ages 4, 6 and 8 and a box of yogurt in the fridge is gone in a day where the frozen yogurt lasts at least a week.) Also I like the yogurt frozen myself but I do let it thaw out just a little bit so it's scoopable. In the summer it's a great treat and better for you than ice cream!

• ireneY

Okay, this is going to sound bad. I found a forgotten pack in the back of my fridge from Oct. that looked and smelled good, so I took a chance. I am still alive with no tummy issues. Something about the live yogurt culture must keep them preserved?

• selinaj

HaHa! Must be! I've done that before too by mistake…and I'm still alive and didn't get tummy issues either. :)

• Lana

That is my problem too-then I remembered that DD is home from college on spring break and I can print it from hers! The library will not allow you to load the print software for the coupons and so you can't print them-at least that is what I have heard from others.

• kimana517

Oh, sad! Yeah, I have already used both my husband's and my computers at home and both computers where I work. Maybe I will visit the library to try it and if not, oh well.

• Anonymous

At my library I can print anything that prints through SmartSource…I can’t print anything that uses the coupon printer..ie: coupons.com :( :)

• seagull7

There's a charge per printed page at my library – I don't know exactly how much, but if you can print them there, it will cut into your savings.

• kimana517

There is at mine too, but it's just 10¢ per page. For a $2 coupon, I'd say it's worthwhile. =o)

• wolverinehokie

There is a .50 Target coupon for the Sobe Lifewater. If you use that with the manufacturer coupon, they become free.

• emorybh

Jenny, thank you so much for this site! It rocks! Okay couponers, I have a favor to ask, since Publix is having spaghetti on sale again this week after having the Viva Italian last month, does anyone in the Charleston, SC area have any boxes of spaghetti or salad dressing they would be willing to donate for a children's church camp fundraiser??? If so it would be GREATLY appreciated!

• carly

Can you get in-ad coupons from the circular in the store?

• DonnaSTN

Is the Birds Eye Steamfresh meals for two a pasta type thing? If it is I found a coupon for $1/2.

• DonnaSTN

Just go to the birdseyesteamfresh website then click offers for it

• carolinesurfs

GREAT week for me. I plan on getting Ragu, YoPlus, Land-o-Lakes, Fruit Chillers, all for about $5. Yay yay yay!

• Wendi

Where do you get the “in ad” coupons from for Publix? I am new to this.

• handieeeeee

either from the ad at the store or you can print them from their website

• Lucy

Either from your Sunday newspaper or from the Publix website. Go to their website, click on weekly ad, click on coupons, and print them from there.

• colagirl

Quick question that hopefully someone can answer before I go shopping tonight!

If I bought 10 of the Smart Ones entrees, could I use two $1 off 5 coupons AND the $4 off 10?

• handieeeeee

I believe you could only if one was a manufacturer and one was a store coupon

• Natalie559

No I don't think that will work as you are allowed 1 manufacturer coupon per items it specifies and the $4 off 10 already covers the 10 you want to buy.

Haven't tried the smart ones myself- how do you like them?

• DonnaTN

There was also a tearpad for $1/2 Nabisco Crackers

• olinda

I'm so amazed by my savings! I'm a first time users of this site, so I went out yesterday and saved over $40 on $100 grocery bill!

• joanne

Angel Soft zip code anyone

• karen

There's a $1 off coupon for Edy's frozen fruit bars in the Walgreens March coupon book.

• moneysavingmama

Where did you get the walgreens coupon book? Was it mail to you or did you stop by a store?

• Marina115

You can get them at Walgreens. They are usually right when you walk in the door, next to the sales ad.

• julie

Hate to keep asking, but can you get the “in ad coupons” in the store or do you have to get them in a newspaper? Are these coupons cut out or reduced automatically at register? Thanks so much for your help!

• DonnaTN

you can go to their website to print out the ad

• Joanna

They are found in the weekly ad, from the newspaper OR the store. You will need to cut them out in order to get the reduction. You can also print these before you go from publix.com (weekly ad, go to 2nd page, and print coupon – can print each one separately, no limit).

• Jennifer

How does everyone carry and organize your coupons? I have really gotten into coupons and walk around with various labeled envelopes containing the coupons I will use. I have seen other walking in Publix with huge binders of neatly organized q's. Where do you get the clear inserts to hold the q's?

• 1MiniMom

Those clear inserts that you see people using are actually baseball card holders. I got mine at Walmart where they sale baseball cards. It is a nice way to organize the coupons if you want to have them with you when you shop. HTH.

• DonnaTN

I use a recipe box that I got at the Dollar store to organize and file my coupons and I also have a binder with the baseball cards, although I personally don't like to carry a binder around in the store for some odd reason..lol *Maybe I don't want to be known * but I put the ones that expire in that month in the binder so I know what's about to expire and that I don't forget about them. But I like the box better, they have 2 sizes at the dollar store, cheap and effective.

• Natalie559

I use a small accordion file type folder that I got at office depot for around $6. Works well for me. A lot of people use similar as a starting off point and if you keep expanding then go to the 3 ring binders with the baseball inserts.

• Hey Jennifer, I keep my printable coupons and loose coupons (that I cut out of inserts but for whatever reason don’t use) in baseball card inserts in a 3 – ring binder. The inserts I keep by date and in a file folder by month, since I usually buy at least 2 inserts. I also keep store coupon booklets in a file folder. THEN, I found a bag that’s large enough to hold all my file folders in case I ever need a coupon I haven’t clipped ahead of time and keep it with me in the car. Before I head out to shop, I just make sure I have all my coupons clipped and in order by store so I have what I need in hand while shopping for easy reference. (Sometimes I have to check size/variety.)I’m including a link that might help you figure out what works best for you, it’s a lot of trial and error but as you get more efficient with coupons, you’ll figure out what works for you personally. http://www.southernsavers.com/2009/06/extreme-couponing-organization/HTH!

• renee06

I use a picture binder…the baseball card slots are too small for a lot of coupons and I don't like to fold them. I have a different sections for grocery, frozen, health and beauty, etc. and for different stores publix, kroger, cvs, rite aid. this makes it so easy…I usually pull the ones out I need before I go to the store and keep the binder in my purse just in case I need a coupon that I didn't pull.

• I don't clip them all anymore like I commented above, but I do need to organize my printables so I have a binder for food and a binder for non-food, then the sections in each are organized in the same order as the aisles in Publix (my fave store) – when I shop my coupons are in an envelope, also in the same order as the store aisles so I can find them quickly if I need to check or remove one.

• I like 4×6 photo holders better, but I no longer make a notebook. I shop off the list I make here, organize my inserts like Jenny does, then only clip when I shop – saves me hours! All of my stores will let me buy then come back with a coupon so if there is a great deal on something I really need then I just go back. Saves so much time in the store and at home.

• Kim

Sorry, but I need to vent- and this seems the best place to do it since I see a few comments referring to my issue here…

Is it REALLY necessary for people to print/use multiple ( not a few, but 4-5+ ) coupons on one particular item??? I mean do you really need that many cereals, coffees, yogurts or whatever? I find it very unfair that when I go to the store the shelves are ALWAYS empty of those particular great sale items. I'm only hoping to buy one but it's clear that a few people have come in and emptied the shelves by taking MORE than enough. I wish the stores would limit this kind of thing but apparently they do not.

And as far as the coupon printing, printing excessive coupons of the same item is just plain greedy, IMO, and causes the print limit to be reached before the rest of us can get just one.

I realize that we are all just trying to save some money in this hard economy but I feel too many people are taking it to the extreme. I just challenge people to think about others and if they really need that many items before they buy up the entire shelf.

So there, I've said it. Let the bashing begin if you want but I feel better having gotten that off my chest :)

• melissad2

I agree with you to a point. I don't really mind if people are getting what they need, but it is frustrating to not be able to find what you are looking for. Just don't forget that publix offers rainchecks if they are out of something. The only place I find this really frustrating is at CVS because they are cleaned out quickly and seem to never restock on things that earn ECB's. Like with the OUST deal a few weeks ago they never had any at any store that I went to, and one of my friends said that she had seen a lot things that people were getting for “free” at CVS being resold at the Jockey Lot (a big flea market) in Anderson. That is what frustrates me, I only get what I need or can use, and others profit from it. I did buy 4 jars of mayo while it was BOGO, but my hubby will clean that out in a couple of months :)

• DonnaTN

If it's an advertised sale in the paper for CVS you can get a raincheck for it. Not sure if you would get the ECB's along with it but it doesn't hurt to ask!

• mariposa1015

You can get the ECB's along with the raincheck at CVS. Just make sure the salesperson includes it with the rest of the info when writing it up.

• DonnaTN

Thanks for that info, I'll keep that in mind! Wasn't really sure because I haven't gotten a chance to do it yet.

• Carrie

I had someone tell me before that they cut out the ad with the deal from the weekly flyer and staple it to the raincheck so that there's never any question about the ECBs when the raincheck is used at a later date. Just a tip for people.

• cyndi

Thanks for the idea!!

• MK

CVS will allow you to receive the ECBs on a raincheck. When they fill out the form, make sure they put in the code so that the register will print out the ECB when you finally purchase the item.

• they have to write a code from the sales ad on the raincheck, and my store always asks me to save the ad just in case

• Tina

I don't know about CVS at other area. The CVS at my area seems never to restock. I hold raincheck for GE light and soyjoy bar for months now and each time I go to the store, they are still unavailable. I heard people shop for ECB's item at midnight each Saturday. When I learn of any good deal, they will all be gone!! At first, I was very frustrated but now, I go to the store with no expectation and be happy if I can find the item!!

I really think it is not right to sell freebies at yardsale or ebay but who am I to judge.

• Lori

You can actually go on Saturday afternoon and get that weeks sales along with Sunday's sales. I always go Saturday afternoon!

• irisfaith

I sometimes wish that the stores would limit it too, but if people really are that greedy, they will just take an order out to their car and then go right back in buying the allowed number over and over again til they have what they want.
I can always tell where Jenny's match-ups SHOULD be at Target by the big gaping holes on the shelves. (Thank you to whomever purchased 30 or so boxes of Kelloggs fruit crisps this weekend in Athens. My boyfriend uses exactly ONE box per week at work as his only snack and this week he has none.)

That being said, I did recently request that someone print and mail me cat litter coupons, for a total of 4, my 2 plus hers. I've never actually seen our clumping litter on sale, and we go through TONS of it. I could never have enough coupons to have 1 for each $15 dollar box of litter that our boys use. I have to pay full price 80% of the time.

I do eat 1 or 2 of those tiny little yogurts each day, and my boyfriend likes them too, but I try to only buy those 2 (4pks) at a time, even though that is not even 1 week's worth for us.

I don't know – the best I can think of is to get there early on the first day of the sale and only buy what you NEED, and hope that karma really works for those who are being greedy. I think it does.

• Kim

Thanks, it makes me feel better that other people feel the same way as me and that I'm not over-reacting.
And I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad about things they DO need and ARE using. A few weeks back I printed doubles on cinnamon rolls because my family goes through them like crazy. It's just when I see someone with 10 mustards in their cart (because they come out with an overage) that I get annoyed. I mean NO ONE needs 10 mustards at a time :)

• 3monkeysmom

It IS possible that people who get multiple items like this might be donating them to someone :-)

• Jennifer

Kim- You are not alone. I saw a lady a few weeks ago buying 30 jars of Ragu. Spaghetti sauce is on sale just about every week. Then today I receive my new Publix ad & Ragu is on sale AGAIN. No way she went through all of those jars… yes maybe some were donated, but what about the poor customer who only wanted one or two jars.

• Snowski824

Once I saw a lady buying a lot of Ragu (on sale but didn't have coupons) and she said she owned a restaurant.

• Joy

Maybe she was hosting a spaghetti dinner to make money for her child with cancer? The point is is that we don't know what someone else's situation is and there can be many possibilites beyond what we “think” we have figured out!

• melissad2

I know what you mean about Target. I was in there the other day and they had like 200 boxes of fruit crisps, but they were all blueberry :( I was in there yesterday and went to check to see if they had in other flavors in and they were all wiped out. Like locusts came through! I thought geez someone must like blueberry :/ I will admit that I got 5 boxes of instant oatmeal, but my son eats it every morning for breakfast and they had tons of it on the shelves.

• carolyn090

this is getting silly,do you think one person got them all? is it at all possible that 40 people each got 5 boxes? i dont get it. if you didnt want them the day before, why does it bother you that they are gone?

• Lisa

Just saw where another blogger bot 26 toothbrushes during ONE shopping trip at a grocery store. So, yes, one person can indeed be buying the whole stock.

• christina

Wow, 26 toothbrushes…..unless that was Michele Duggar buying those….who needs 26 toothbrushes????

• Joy

Well, since I know exactly which blogger it was, she explained that she had five children. So, with seven in the household, you can go through toothbrushes pretty fast! Trust me, I have six children and we got through toothbrushes like water. Ever had a toothbrush fall into the toilet or get lost? We do all the time and it sure is nice to have a great stockpile.

• momto2boys

I caught my 3 year old “scrubbing” the toilet with one of our toothbrushes one time…. YUCK! So I had to throw them all out cause I couldn't shake the feeling that maybe they had all been in the toilet!

• momto2boys

Because I didn't want blueberry :) I don't know who got them all, or if one person or 200 got them. I simply thought it was funny that one day they had tons of blueberry and the next day they had none. I was simply musing that someone must like blueberry! I don't care if they were all gone. But I bet there will be kellogs fruit crisps for sale at the local flea market this weekend!

• tracy99

So go buy them at the flea market.

• momto2boys

No thanks, I don't care for flea markets…

• christina

Me either, and they wont be as cheap as they were at the grocery store!!!! lol

• Snowski824

If it makes you feel better, my Publix has a limit of 8 of one thing that's on sale.

• LindaB

I have been couponing since the 70's…now a grandmother, I still coupon. Shopping has dramatically changed with the popularity of “money-saving” sites such as this. Older and now much wiser, I see many more people having to stretch their food dollars. This is evident by the number of coupon savy sites, and viewers. Sadly there will always be some who take advantage of the 'system' in any realm possible, it's a reflection of society. Seeing empty shelves or going to a flea market and seeing those items that you have worked so hard to be able to provide for your own family through the deligent work of clipping, organizing, finding, printing, and research on the best time to use Q's is very frustrating. In Florida, during the recession of the 70's stores stopped doubling/tripling coupons. It just became too expensive for the stores to compete with the ever increasing coupon users. Fraud was rampant, people took advantage, and we all paid for it. Undoubtedly hard times creates new avenues for abuse. It is hard to overlook the abusers because it makes us all look bad, but stay true to yourself and your values. I try hard not to judge, but it is hard sometimes when I see blatant misuse. Maybe the stores can remain competitive without punishing all of us by limiting or curbing our usage of coupons. And from one old lady to all you young chicks…Try and remain positive about your experiences shopping, take what you learn here and use it to better your family life as much as possible.

• Leah_in_SC

No bashing here! I'm okay with people getting the deals on things their family really uses, but I think some people take advantage of it just to make a profit. I'm sure there are even those who do this as their “job.” I have seen people selling “lots” of particular items on ebay after a really good deal at CVS or other stores. Recently I was looking at baby stuff and saw some baby coupon auctions which piqued my interest, so I looked at the seller's other items. All of their auctions were coupon related or were items that I recognized from recent sales ads as being extremely cheap/free/overage deals. It made me sick that this person was taking advantage of the system not just to benefit their family like most of us do, but to greedily make an extra profit off of other people. They even had the Publix Advantage Buy flyers for sale (they probably went in and grabbed a whole stack of them to sell while the rest of us scramble to find one to use for ourselves). It's so frustrating…but not everyone is going to do the right thing with their coupons or savings, and there's not much we can do about it.

My best advice is to use the raincheck system. Publix makes it pretty simple and you can even come out better sometimes. It's nice to be able to wait and buy the item when there's a full selection of flavors or when your family actually needs the item. As I shop, I make a little list of the items that they are out of (even if they're just out of the certain flavor/variety I wanted), then head over to cust. service after I check out and get a raincheck on those items. Then I wait to buy them when the shelves are full and I can get all that I needed (with my 2 – or on the rare occasion 4 – coupons) without wiping out the shelf for the other customers.

• Leslie

So far I have never actually had to get a raincheck at Publix for an item they were out of. When I go to customer service to get one, they almost always still have some in the back and will go get it for you! CVS is pretty good with them also and I have had to get rainchecks there, but I usually end up finding the item at a different CVS later!

• ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

Who are you to determine who is greedy? Maybe the person selling on Ebay is using the money to “benefit their family”. It makes you sick, seriously?

• Marina115

Selling a whole bunch of Blood Glucose Monitors, or body washes, for example, that were just on sale at CVS on ebay, IMO is kind of greedy. Technically, that's cheating the store you bought it from because you got it for free and you're making a profit from it. That money benefits you now, but in the long run it will make these stores get tougher with their coupon policies and ruin it for everyone else. That's why we've seen Publix stop accepting competitors coupons and put limits on certain deals.

• momto2boys

Thank you…my point exactly. I don't care it you get 1 or 100 of something as long as it is for your own personal use or for donation….but reselling it is crossing the line.

• Baz

I just don't see your point here. I am not selling anything, but what if later on I want to do it? Who can tell me what to do what my property?

My question is this, let's say you buy a body wash with cash, and you pay $5.99. Would it be OK to sell it to …?
Now, let's say you buy the same body wash, at $5.99, you pay with coupons; the store is getting the money, in fact they get $0.08 more that if you paid with cash; the body wash is yours, who can tell you what to do or not to do with it?

It's yours to use, to give away, to throw away, to sell, to put in your closet and forget about it for 5 years.

Have you thought about lots of people who don't have a job, and they are eating because of coupons? What if they got 5 shampoos, and they only need 2?
Let them sell those other 3 and use that money for gas.

Again, you are not “cheating the store”, they get all their money, if they didn't they wouldn't be accepting coupons.

The way you see things, no one would be allowed to have a garage sale, unless they were sure they had paid full retail price for each item.

I don't really think it works like that.

• mollie456

You are not alone, but you can always get a raincheck. Also the government emergency action plans and even some religions suggest that families store up to a year's worth of food for lean times or emergencies. In my house that is 50 boxes of cereal. For the people who are willing to cut, sort and shop accordingly, there is nothing wrong in my opinion to buy 10 boxes of cereal at a time. My family of six will eat it long before it goes bad. To me it is like putting up food at harvest time to last the winter. I buy 100's of lbs of produce and spend all summer canning and freezing because they are less expensive in season. How is this different? The stores know what is going to be on sale and what coupons are out there, they should IMO plan better so that they will have stock. I am not saying that buying up all the CVS freebies to sell on e-bay is right, but if it is for my family and it is completely legal and other people can get a raincheck for the item if the store is out, why is it a big deal? I am not copying coupons illegally or have CVS cards in my childrens' names, I just buy a lot of newspapers!

• melissad2

I agree, if it is something you are going to use it then it's not a big deal to me. It is the people who are profiting from it that gets to me.

• Lisa

How do you define who is profiting from it? If you buy it for less, then technically you are profiting from the money saved. So you are someone who is profiting from it, does that get to you?

• melissad2

By “profiting” I mean buying more than you or your family can physically consume before it grows legs and reselling at another venue such as ebay, flea market, yard sale etc. I think I am “benefiting” from it but “profiting” ??? I don't know about that, I think we will just have to agree to disagree :)

• Robin

I am so with you on this and it was to the point last week that the Kraft dispenser in the cheese section not only was emptied, but had been torn apart! What is up with that? I just wanted one simple coupon!

• melissad2

People are rude :) I mean why tear it apart? if it's out it's out… no need to rip it apart. I know we all want to save money but geez

• christina

Unfortunately, the world is full of rude people. I guess those of us who aren't just need to be thankful we are who we are. I can live with my actions. I don't know how people like THAT can…..

• momto2boys

• tracy99

Apparently half of them are on this web site

• Melissa

i can understand your frustration. ask for a raincheck on the items you can't find. if you have a coupon expiring soon you were going to use, ask them to note on the RC that you can use the coupon…most stores will honor this. also, i wish the stores (and manufacturers) would get on board and realize that when they're putting things on sale and it's going to be an exceptional deal, that they need to stock more.

• Christina

I guess my problem is that I think about others TOO much. My daddy always told me I was cursed with a big heart. When I was little I didn't understand it, but now I do. It's not always a good thing to think of everyone else before yourself ALL the time. But I can't help it. I think about my fellow shoppers and what their families need, but at the same time, I'm on a slim budget like most people. I guess I need to start being more assertive.

• tracy99

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Good grief Christina…GET OVER IT!!!

• christina

Wow, if being more assertive means being like you, then I'll stick to being who I am.

• tracy99

Who you are, judging by the MANY comments previously, is a whiner. Everyone here is looking for deals. Unfortunately, not everyone can get every deal out there. You say you live in an area with ONE grocery store. So your whole town is looking at the same deals as you. You are NOT thinking of others when you are talking about how “angry” you are by not getting there to get the deals.

Ohh, I think that we all have to get over ourselves. People will do whatever they want, and we will not be able to change it. This is life, and as much as we try to think about others, our own families come first. Yes, I do think about other people, and donate items to a shelter and a church. And yes, I bought 10 packs of baby wipes when they were on sale in CVS. But you know, as much as I think about others, who is thinking about me? My daycare lady charges me $800 a month for parttime daycare for two… is she thinking about me trying to finish my degree, is she thinking about my husband not having days off? So yes, we do have to be kind to each other, but in the end, we and our families come first. So if I want to get 20 of that item, I will, because the next time I come and the item costs 10 times that, no one will think to give me a discount. So like I said, everyone wants great deals, and if you can get a good deal, go ahed, get as many as you want or need, as long as you are not beating an old lady down the isle, or taking something our of somebody's cart :)

• tracy99

I agree. Get as much as you want, need, and can afford. It is no ones business what I put in my grocery cart, whether it is 10 of one particular item or 100.

• tracy99

Perhaps it is very necessary to that person to print however many coupons to get “that many cereals, coffees, yogurts or whatever”. That does not make them “greedy”. And I'm sure that they are thinking about others…their families.

• Savedollars

Great Deal … Need 18 jars of sauce? Have your husband snipped! (e.g., “LOL”)!

• Sara

I certainly do understand your frustration. I am new to coupon shopping, and I am one of those that use many coupons and purchase many of the same item if it is an awesome sale. Yes, I stock my own pantry, but I also stock the church pantry with the items, too, for people in need. Our church regularly helps at least 50 families a week with food. So, when that happens to me, I try to think that maybe the person that bought them out is helping others with their stash of food, too! :) Maybe that will relieve some of your frustration. I hope so! :)

can you freeze yogurt?

• you can! It turns out pretty tasty still.

• Brooke82

A woman on the Dr.Oz show did that as a better option than ice cream. She used the yogurt with the fruit on the bottom for an added extra.

• Robynne in TN

I freeze it all the time and send it in the kids lunches – it turns out great! Or they eat it frozen… “frozen yogurt”! They love it!

• LMC

I looked in the sale ad but didn't see the in ad coupons. Are they only in the sale ad that you get in the store?

• handieeeeee

yes they are in the in store sale add

• April

Does anyone know the zip for the huggies wipes? Thanks!!

• Try 63366

• April

Thank you so much!!

• jackee-O

does anyone know if the Publix in decatur AL takes Food Lion coupons? thanks!

• Brooke82

Just call the store and ask the manager…that's what I do.

• Leah_in_SC

When I shopped Sunday, my store had some of the Rosetto pasta varieties marked $1.00 (I think it was just the ones with sauce). If you have the manu q they would be free. Of course, I didn't know about the manu q then, but I still bought one to try. Not sure if they'll still be marked that price this week…my finger's are crossed since I have the q now. :)

They also had some of the Dole frozen fruits (bananas and maybe something else) marked cheaper than the advertised $3.00 (yellow adv. flyer). I don't remember exactly how much they were (maybe $1 or $1.50) but it was a good enough deal that I bought 2 bags of bananas for smoothies.

• Chi

North GA, i saw gillete deodorants on clearance 2 for $4.59, i din't have my $4/2 coupon so I'm going back later.
Also i got handtags for $4.00 off when you buy 1 Smucher's Natural peanut butter AND 1 R W Just Juice Product. The tag was on the Just Juice. Just Juice Apple cider was on sale for 2.99 and peanut for 2.75. I got both for 1.75, not a great price but I ran out of peanut butter a couple days ago.

• Amber

Check the Target online coupons. I got a $1 off the Nature Valley Clusters from there too.

• Amanda

I'm looking for some White Castle Microwavable Hamburgers coupons, does anyone know if there are any out there?

• Jenn

There's a .50/1 in the 1/31 SS.

• erunner4y

Wouldn't the $1.50/2 coupon for the Emerald's Nuts make it $1.69 for 2 or .85 cents each? If not, how did you come up with 2.14 and is that for 2?

• Heather

FYI!! My Publix here in Spring Hill no longer lets you stack a Target, Manufacturer and Publix coupon on one item..ex. Huggies Diapers. You can now only use one store coupon per item. Bummer!!

• it's been like that for a while and it is a bummer – they are also limiting BOGO to 3 deals (total 6 items) per customer

• Melissa

Does anyone know the zip for Angel Soft and Sparkle?

• fea

If I buy the following, can i use all these coupons?

Buy 1 Box of Pampers Diapers, 1 tub of pampers wipes, and 1 pampers wipes 192 ct.

Use these coupons:
$3 off Pampers Bix Box Q from Publix ad (store coupon)
$2 off Pampers Cruisers Manufacturer Q from insert
2 $.50 off Pampers wipes manufacturer Q from insert
FREE Pampers tub of wipes when you buy box of diapers from Publix booklet (store coupon)
FREE 192 ct. Pampers wipes when you buy pampers cruisers from Baby club (store coupon)

I wasn't sure if this was too many coupons or if it would be allowed….thanks for you help.

• DonnaTN

I wouldn't see why not, as long as you get the cruisers box and not the other kind. You should be able to use all.

• fea

Thanks I wasn't sure if i need to buy 2 boxes in order to use the two different free wipes coupons. I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

• lucy2778

In Publix, they will not accept more coupons than items. Get 2 filler items, anything, even if it's under a dollar, and you should be fine. Publix baby club qs rock!

• HH

Newbie here…What does it mean if a coupon listed about is from 'tearpad'?? What is the tearpad?

• DonnaTN

It's usually on a display near the item and sometimes not, and it's on a pad and you just “tear” off the coupon

• Hope

Does anyone know where to type the code they give you for the Jimmy Dean coupon?

• abcdsclark

I see people complaining about items being out of stock. I know sometimes the shelves are empty and i get the stocker to go backand make sure there isnt that item back there. I also ask what day their delivery truck comes in and come back then. I live between three publix stores and i try my best to split up my shopping, i have 3 kids 6 and under so two are with me when i do my daily shopping so small trips on my way home from dropping my daughter off at school are best. We buy what we can use and i pick up sale items for my mother and I also am helping a fairly large family that is here in town from our church. The coupons help me to help them more than i would be able to without the bogo deals and all the coupons. as for the yogurt, my family goes through a 4 pack a day but i dont wipe out one store. my two cents

• Get Over It!

Stop complaining!! Is it really going to change your life if all the .25 yogurt is sold out? Stop organizing your own stock pile and get to the store earlier…lol :)

• Get Over It!

The sales in Florida started today and I got everything I needed and wanted. It is like they say “The early bird gets the worm”. I got like 8 yogurt, 8 chillers, 4 Ragu, 4 pasta, etc… and there was plenty for everyone. If a store runs out it is the stores fault not the customers. They should know the customers and stock according to demand. I would complain to the store or get there early :) I had an awesome morning. I got $120 worth of groceries for $40.

• Christina

So those of us who work 8-5 don't deserve to get the good deals? I went on the first day last week as soon as I got off work. Every single item I was travelling 40 miles for was gone.

• Crystal

I guess in that case you could call ahead or get rain checks!! The store is responsible for keeping items stocked, I would call and complain or take your business somewhere else. I don't think anyone is entitled to good deals, it is a first come first serve situation. Life isn't always fair…better luck next week. That seems like a long way to travel, do you save enough to make up for the gas?

• christina

80 miles costs about 7$…..savings? at least 60$ so yes, it's worth it. When you only have 1 grocery store in your town, you dont really have a choice but to drive.

• renee06

I think we all need to be thankful for this site and for being able to save on each weeks deals. The comments should be about helping each other find great deals…not to complain about your store not having some type of snack. While it can be frustrating to think you are going to get a deal and then find that the store is sold out, you have to remember that it is all a part of using coupons. The best way to save money is to stock up for 6-8 weeks when something is on sale, for a family with 3 kids that can be a lot of boxes of whatever snack and that same person who took 15 boxes, might have been looking forward to another deal that was already sold out. I guess my point is that this probably has happened to all out us. If you really, really love a item (enough to complain about it on here) then spend the extra $1 a week to buy it before it goes an a huge sale… and be excited when you can buy 10 boxes at a time for 10 cents each!

• Crystal

Thank you!

• christina

I dont want you to think I'm not thankful. And I know it happens to a lot of people because you see all the posts on here! lol…..it's just frustrating when it's an every single week thing…..it would just be nice for people to be considerate. If you are going to buy 20 or more of one item, be considerate and ask the stock manager for that amount. Those poor stock boys (or girls) I'm sure would be very thankful to not have to stock the shelves every hour. Speaking from experience of stocking, its a lot easier to take items off of a pallet than it is to fill the shelves.

• tracy99

Perhaps Christina should move closer to her store so she can get all the good deals everyone else is taking from her. I can't even read down a few lines without reading about her pity party. Get your own blog to bash all the coupon using, deal stealing people out there. But really, this is just ridiculous. Oh, BTW, I work 12 hour shifts, yet I manage to get a lot of GREAT deals. Maybe, right before you get there to do your shopping:)

• lucy2778

Ha ha ha best post :) Soon enough doctors will have special meds to treat depression of women who didn't get all the deals :) lol

• Jennifer

Wow, I'm just speechless. It saddens me to see the cruel & mean posts that are on here. I thought we were all in this thing together and by thing I mean saving money to better provide for our families. Guess I was wrong.

• Sheri

ACWORTH AND KENNESAW GEORGIA Publix on Baker Road in Kennesaw, GA is no longer accepting competitor coupons other than Kroger. If the coupon has a competitor logo but says manufacturer coupon on it they will take it, but no Rite aid, Walgreens, CVS, or Target accepted any longer. This was told to me by Kim the manager at that store.

• Jessica

While looking at the great deal idea for the Tide/Stain Release/Downy combo, I remembered that I got an Everyday Essentials coupon book from Target in the mail last week. It has $1 off Tide detergent, $1 off Tide Stain Release, and .75 off Downy. All competitor coupons that I can stack with the Pubix and manufacturer coupons. We don't use Tide, but it's worth a try. Hopefully others got this mailer too!!

• christina

Man! I wish I had those! How do you get those mailers?

• carolyn090

i think the lack of certain sale items reflects many things ,i know that its easy to blame crazy couponers , bad planning on the stores part, or just an ever increasing number if bargin hunters. i for one hardly ever see anyone else couponing, do you really believe that this stealthy person somehow sneaks into cvs in the middle of the night and takes everything, even w/ verry strict limits there .i say this bc as a joke i asked a few cashers once. no, alot, i mean alot of people do extra bux , not just people who coupon, and sometimes we order stuff for the sale and just dont get it , there maybe a heartless shopper at your store . but it isnt the only reason sale items arent at my store . it only makes you happier for the deals you get.

• carolyn090

oops ! so the wrong place.

• Heather

What the heck happened to the posts here? I thought this was about deals we are finding and sharing for Publix this week.

• ywardlaw

Watch them on the Tide/Bounty/Stain release coupon. I purchased all three and used all of the coupons that Jenny has listed but they only gave me the $6.00 credit for the Tide & Bounty. I don't know if they didn't count the stain release since I had the buy tide get it free coupon?????

• lucy2778

Sorry. You should've told them about it. Lots of cashiers make mistakes. :(

• MC

I don't know if it is the same enfamil or not, but there is a publix baby club coupon that expires in April that is for a free box of the individual packets when you buy 1 large can. I just used it this week.

• comeongetagrip

Well, you can't really pass judgement on someone based on what you see in their cart.. come on. Do you really know that they aren't going to use all the mustard they have? Maybe they have an event coming up, are donating, etc.
I usually split my orders up throughout the week, and do my biggest on the last day of the week. When the Bertoli was on sale, I got 24 jars at one time. Does that make me a bad person? I don't think so. My family of 6 eats alot of pasta and I help supply family, friends, and our church food pantry. But, I really don't think it matters. I have as much right to purchase what is on the shelf as the next person, as long as my coupons are legit. And yeah, if I am getting overage to buy something else my family needs, then even better.
If you really want to assure that you get something, then you need to try to go on the first morning of the sale, or get a RC.. which is what I do alot. If something is out, I assume someone else wanted the deal as much as I did.
Alot of people shop for their parents, grandparents, elderly neighbors, etc. I can't believe people get so angry seeing what is in someone else's cart and assume they don't “need” what they are buying.

• Jennifer

I dont think angry is the write word to describe how people are feeling… maybe disappointed. You go to the store wanted to purchase some items and to only realize they are all gone. Yes, get a RC, but for some they are more of a pain. I once saw a comment where a lady ordered cases of product from the manager. Now that is someone who thinks of others. Instead of wiping out the shelf, she lets the store know how many she needs & then picks it up a few days later. Maybe it is passing judgement, but Jenny and most coupon websites say to have 6 weeks worth of items you use. Everyone knows most items go back on sale within 4-6 weeks. I think we need to start treating others how we would like to be treated… including some of these just flat out mean responses to one Mom's “venting”.

• chambers

I complete agree with you!! I know someone who buy's 6-10 items of the same product. And donate's over HALF to a foodbank each week!! And my family goes threw a bottle of ketchup a week, u beat when it's on sale I stock up so I don't have to pay '' retail '' when it's not on sale!!!

• Brooke82

If you want to buy that much, go ahead. Some people need to mind their own business.

• ThankfulForQs

I have 5 adults and two teenagers in my household so I definitely stock-up on the great deals! I rarely find empty shelves at my Publix, but when I do, I ask the staff about the item. Only twice in the last six months have they said “try back tomorrow”. They almost always have more in the back, and my store is So Friendly about getting it out for me. But it doesn't make me angry, I just have to get there sooner!

I have only one issue with buying tons of an item and that is – what coupons did they use to get them? As I checked out last week, my cashier told me about a lady who bought 32 jars of Bertolli sauce. I only had two jars in my buggy since the Q said “One Per Purchase”. The cashier said that she had checked them out separately. That was great, but how did she get 16 store coupons (from the Multiply Your Meal booklet)? My store has “Please take 2 only” stickers on the carousel. I got my two, but I have friends who went to find them, and they were all gone!

That's the only unfair thing to me – when “couponers” take more than their share of store coupons, and I can't even get 2 jars for the great price.

• Christina

Exactly! It's not that I don't want people to be able to feed their families for a reasonable price. It's when they “cheat” the system. My mom does it too, and it makes me so mad. I try to tell her she is going to ruin it for us who go by what the coupon and store policy says. One of these days, the managers are going to get fed up and not let us do ANYTHING. I had one cashier type in a store coupon that I had totally forgot to put in my buggy. The register took it, but I was honest and told her I had totally forgot to get the item. The manager came to void it off and I apologized over and over, because I didn't want her to think I was trying to cheat. She thanked me for my honesty and told me she was really starting to get the casheirs to crack down because so many people were trying to cheat.

• Wilber

What does SS 3/14 mean?

• seagull7

It means that the coupon listed was (or will be) in the Smart Source insert in the Sunday paper for that date. 3/14 is next Sunday. SS=Smart Source insert, PG=Procter and Gamble insert and RP=Red Plum insert. HTH. (Hope that helps.) :)

• ywardlaw

Sarna Sensitive Lotion – The Publix on Forest Drive, Cola has this lotion reduced to 9.99…. some of you may have the $2.00 coupons that expire this month…..just fyi

• LOL

Never, ever go into a store expecting a great sale item to be in stock…plan to need a raincheck!

My hubby is getting the best laugh from reading this section. We've got a good giggle from people who have nothing better to “vent” about than an empty shelf, which will be well stocked as soon as a sale is over. Get the sale when no one else is shopping for the coveted items…rainchecks rulel!

Couponers, proudly purchase 4, 6, 8 or 18 bottles of spaghetti sauce! As long as you will eventually use it, buy it.

Venters, continue with these “nothing left for me” posts. They are entertaining!

• Christina

Well, I guess I'm one of those venters BECAUSE I got rainchecks last week, but ya know what? The coupons expired before the items were restocked!! Angry? Yes! Wouldn't you? I am GLAD to see the item limits posted at my “local” Publix (I have to drive 40 miles). Last week the Birds Eye veggies had a limit on them, and I was thankful because I was unable to get the Steamers the week before.

• LOL

Any good store manager will honor a q if it has expired because the store has been out of an item. Publix and CVS has done this for me.

• Christina

They have honored my expired store coupons, but not manufacturer because they lose that money. I can't go store hopping like 90% of the shoppers here. Small town…..there is one. I'm just asking, if you are going to buy double digits worth of an item, talk to the stock manager like I've seen people on here do before. It's common courtesy to the store AND your fellow shoppers.

• thecouponingqueen

You may also try calling ahead. When I have had to travel to a store to get something that was on sale, I have had them offer to hold a small quantity for me if I call before I come. You are the customer and they want you to say nice things and be a return customer. I also had to request a rain check last week and they noted that the expired manufacturer coupon would be accepted because the item was out of stock. According to the coupon redemption centers, the store have to redeem within 6 months of expiration to be reimbursed, so if you use your raincheck in a timely fashion, they will not lose money on the deal.
Hope that is helpful…

• If you make it known to the customer service person when they issue your rain check that your coupons will expire soon, they will add a note to the rain check to accept them. This happened to me back in the fall when those gourmet pretzels had stackable coupons and they kept running out.

• Becky02

I have done that, too.

• Christina

Really? I wish mine would have done that. I really don't mean to sound like I'm making a huge complaint. It's just really frustrating. Especially for those of us who have to travel a ways to the nearest Publix and can only make it once a week. And it doesn't matter if it's the first day of the sale, middle of the sale, or last day of the sale. Those of us who work 8-5 jobs can't make it first thing in the morning on Wed/Thurs.

• Becky02

I use to get very frustrated, but now, I truly don't plan to buy anything on a decent sale until a day or two after the sale. According to this site, as long as the coupon is redeemed within a week or two from the expiration, it is still accepted by the company. Therefore, I don't feel guilty redeeming after teh expiration when a manager has approved it.

Give it a try.

• Mamaberry

Christina, Sorry to hear your frustration… It may be helpful to know that stores have up to 6 months from the expiration date to redeem them. Several stores will allow you to use them passed the exp. Even if it's not written on your rain check. Just pop by the CS desk before you shop and butter them up. It works the majority of the time, because they get reimbursed even months after the exp. (though it should be noted that most stores won't go months out – a week or two is not unheard of.) hth

• agree

i agree rain checks mean better coupons…………………. also one family may need more of a sale item than another family depending on size of family please do whaat is right for your family

• Stephanie

I shopped at my local Publix tonight and there were alot of great sales. Thanks Jenny for all the hard work you do to make this a much easier experience for all of us. Tonight was my first trip to Publix and I saved $85. I was so excited. I have saved alot with Krogers and a little with Ingles so I wanted to give Publix a try. I noticed that a few of the sales items were all gone but no biggy, I will just get it next time. Tonight was the last night for this past week sale so I figured some things would be gone. I enjoy the feeling of knowing that I am going to save a lot of money now when I go to the grocery store that it makes me so mad when people post their negative comments on here. Jenny works so hard to find all the good deals for us not the other way around. We all need to sit back and really thank her for her time. I have an 8 month old duaghter and it takes me around 2 hours to get everything ready to go to the store and without Southern Savers I wouldn't be able to do it alone. I met another young mother at my Publix tonight and told her about this website and how everybody post the sales for the week and how it is very helpful. So instead of being greedy, next time mention to someone that they too can be saving alot of money.

• Melissa

ATLANTA AREA: AJC SS 02/28…$3 off any scrubbing bubbles power sprayer starter. GREAT coupon to use on the funny in ad coupon with pledge and windex!

• scoop

ok i love this sight but it is becoming a pain in the butt to have to skip all the complaining so i can find comments that are usefullllll!!!!
i dont care if you buy 5 or 50 of anything but if you can help me find a good deal post it!! if you cant good lord keep it to yourself.. there are 50 million stores.. 50 million q pons… 50 million rain checks when needed!!!
be done with it & if we cant say something nice then dont post it!!! pullleeezzzz i dont have an hour to sort through comments that are not worth looking at!!

i may sound rude & if so im sorry but i deal with 2 kids all day i dont need to hear adults acting like them…

• LoriMama

THANK YOU!!! (i think the 2 kids at the house all day long makes you not want to deal with whiney, 3 year old adults).

• Becky02

Complaining about complaining…
Calling others “three year olds”…

Now that is role model maturity!

• rachel

I am offended that the adults here who express their opinions are called 3 year olds. Someone else posted this sentiment earlier, but it was removed (I suppose).

• Sandra

I totally agree with you. Besides that, people stop whining. It takes me at least 2 hours a week to get myc oupons and lists ready. And I buy as much as I can for my family of 6. I do not always know what our food budget will be, so I choose to stock up to feed my children. This greedy mom knows that if I cannot grocery shop for 3 weeks, my kids will still be fed. By the way, Publix opoens at 7am and closes at 11pm. No matter what hours you work, I'm pretty sure you can make it. Get a life people!

• Christina

It may open at 7 am, but when you have to be at work at 8 am, you wont make it to work in time. And I have gone twice as soon as I get off, and everything is gone. So please don't tell me to get a life, when I have one. Thanks. I have a family to feed, too…..on a budget. Just like everyone else.

• chrissys

There is always the option of a raincheck. If you don't make it on time, you can still get the deal. Then you get a better selection to chose from. I wish people with negative thoughts would just visit and leave. Jenny does an awesome job with this site, and negativity just makes people get offensive. I believe that the purpose of this site was to show people how to get the deals. Granted, not everyone has the coupons listed, but it has always been a good starting point for me. If you don't have the coupon, move on and do the best you can with what coupons you have. Go back to the store and ask for a RAINCHECK, they do give them out.

• Lidia

On the top of the list under the funny in ad coupons is saying that “$3 off wyb both above and Nature Valley Bars or Clusters, $3.19”. Where is this coupon inside the Publix ad? I I got the ad this morning and search twice, can not find it. Does anyone know where it is?

• RozR

it was on the back of the front page of my ad (page2) whole page was the coupons for all the “funny deals”

• Lidia

Got it. After tying the question I realized that the coupon has a double usage, for 2 products and for 3 products. End up buying the 3 to save $3.00 Thanks

• mary

$1 coupons on the General Mill cereal in the store display

• Jennifer

There is a manufacturer's coupon $1.50 off on any three Kellog's Cereals (10oz or larger, any flavor, mix or match) on the Target website in the coupon section! Use w/ the Food Lion one!

• Jordan

A lot of the people who use multiple coupons donate those items to food banks or charities. It is frustrating that sometimes the shelves are empty but Publix gives out rain checks and I have never missed out on an item because I always get rain checks! So maybe you can try that next time.

• meli

The Barilla Pasta was $1.27 in my store, after the coupons from sunday's paper I paid less than 20 cents for 2 boxes! Whole wheat styles are included. :)

• Anonymous

you can go to angelsoft.com to register and print a .50 q

• There is a target web coupon for Sobe Lifewater.
Save .50
You should be able to stack these with the BOGO manufacture's coupon :o)

• mrscouponchristy

hey yall. thought ide post something on a lighter note. This may make all yall mommas laugh a bit this afternoon!
Im new to couponing and it takes me FOREVER to get all my q's ready for a trip. sooooooo
I have everything ready for my trip to publix yesterday, but b/c of the rainy weather and a fussy baby, i decide to wait till today when my hubby is home.
it turns out this morning that he has to go into work, its still raining but i accept the fact that im taking my little ones to the store.
so i drop the oldest off at school, make the trek across town to publix,(excited that im getting my shopping done at 8:30 in the morning) unload everyone (in the rain) only to discover that i dont have my pocketbook. arghhhhhh.
SO, I go home, put kiddo down for a nap, feed everyone and attempt to do it again, this time I KNOW i have my purse….its STILL pouring out there.
i get to publix unload everyone AGAIN pull out my trusty southern savers shopping list and start filling my cart. highly excited about the great deals im getting and thrilled that i've beat the odds and have made it to the grocery store again in the rain.
Through the chaos of babies and wet jackets etc, i feel like something is not right, but cant put my finger on it. after shopping for a good length of time, i have my “aha” moment…..the publix sale ended YESTERDAY! arghhhhh.
so now, im putting back everything on the shelves, fighting back tears of aggrivation, load evryone back in the truck and start on the drive home. i get half way home and realize that im having a party on saturday and there are 2 items that i HAVE to get even though i dont have coupons for them.( i wish i had of remembered this before i left publix for the 2nd time) so we pull into the nearest krogers and unload everyone yet again and my only glimpse of goodness thru all this is that i have “$1 off total purchase” coupon in my purse. i get what i need, check out and as i hit “ok” on the debit machine, i remember the coupon is in hand, and i forgot to give it to the cashier.
goodgrief!!! LOL

so here i am, sitting at the computer, getting THIS weeks publix shopping list.
Popular sanguine personality at work…gotta love us!
anyhow, i hope yall had a good laugh as i replayed my day! :)

• OMGoodness! What a mess for you!! Such perseverance!

• momto2boys

AHHH! I'm sorry momma, that sounds exactly like me sometimes :) Sometimes all you can do is laugh about it! I know how hard it is to take the little ones to the store with you sometimes…especially in the RAIN! Getting everyone out of the carseats, into the shopping cart, and back into their seats when it is all over is quite the task sometimes. Which is why I am a one or two stop shopper most of the time :)

• Carrie

Write this day in a keepsake book one day so you can remember to retell it to your daughter or daughter-in-law one day when they are having the same kind of day. Yes, I laughed when I read it, but only because I can, unfortunately, relate to it so well. It seems like most of my days are like that instead of the organized/productive days that I long for. All this to say, I'm glad I'm not the only one (no matter how much it seems as if I am)that has days like that.

• DonnaTN

Once you get the hang of getting things together and sorted it won't take as long. I know when I first started, it took me well over 2 hours just to get the coupons that I needed to get together. We all have those days..I know I did! I let my daughter draw on my phone while I shop, keeps her occupied for a little while!

• Kim

Ohhh!! I know what kind of day you're talking about! So sorry!!

• lucy2778

You sound like me, if you have kids, especially babies, your mind is always somewhere else. Last week I lost my pocketbook, searched for it for 2 days, then went to Publix to find out I left it there in the cart. Everything was inside thankfully (coupons, receipts, money, credit cards…)

But yea, shopping with kids is crazy, it's so aweful, I don't do it anymore :) After my 9 month old was screaming because the almost 2-year-old threw something in her face, and was screaming himself because I didn't let him play with the credit card machine, I was done. I don't go shopping with them anymore until I absolutely need something I cannot live without.

• mdawnrose

ARGH!! I have a Food Lion story like that….Hey jenny—maybe that needs to be a new tab….Coupon Horror stories!!!! Sorry for your bad day…..good for you to have a great attitude about it!

• Mamaberry

mom of 3 myself…all 5 and under…I soooooooooo feel your pain. Been there more than I would like to recount. I, however, have the blessing of saying “ok, not going to gym tonight, leaving kids with daddy and going to Publix without them” ;) Nice to see you handled it so well, I would have lost my mind!!! My Best

• I find it rather interesting that all of the complaining and rebuttal posts all of a sudden are from NEWLY named people!! Never saw getagrip or getoverit, or agree or scoop on here before….
Come on people. Grow up! Skimming the recent posts is a complete waste of my time!!

• Get Over It!

I have never made a comment before. I usually just sit back and listen to all the whining. I finally decide to make a post. I love how my original post was removed…lol. I guess the truth really hit home. I still hold firm to my original post.

“Stop complaining!! Is it really going to change your life if all the .25 yogurt is sold out? Stop organizing your own stock pile and get to the store earlier…lol”

I can't believe people get this heated about pasta sauce and yogurt. I can guarantee you that the people complaining would totally clear the shelf if they had the chance first. My advice is complain to your store to stock sale items better or get there first.

• robin62

If that happens you can always get a raincheck. That works for me!!

• Marina115

Jenny is the one who probably removed you post because she runs this site. I didn't get to read it. But either she didn't agree with you or maybe what you wrote was offensive. And as far as people getting heated, I think it goes both ways. Some get frustrated because they feel like they are being judged for buying whats needed for their big families and others are tired of missing out on great deals.

• I'm not able to keep up with all the comments but tried to spend a little while working in this post trying to see what could be removed just to end the conversation.

It's very hard to find a fine line between allowing folks to vent and then everyone getting wayyyyy off topic. It wasn't really anything with a particular comment just tried to go through and take out things that were continuing things or causing new flare ups. I normally don't ever intercede but I also can't let things get so out of hand that folks feel like this isn't a happy place to be…

Sorry to upset any one.

• Melissa H

Thank you Jenny

• Mamaberry

Jenny, IMO – This is YOUR site you can do what you want. You don't have to have to option to even let people comment to begin with. So you certainly have the authority to take down EVERYTHING if you so desire. Again, IMO – anything that is not directly related to deals, links, alerts, great finds could go away and I wouldn't miss it. Rather it would save me time scrolling and weeding out a lot of “discussion”. YOU ROCK and thanks for doing what you do!

• Marina115

I know!! I was thinking the same thing. LOL

• sbdugger

For those who are Swagbucks users – in the special offers (the no obligation special offer section) there is an Ore Ida special offer. If you sign up you will get an instant bricks coupon for $1.50/2 and you will get another one e-mailed to you directly from Ore Ida. On top of that you will get some swagbucks for filling out the special offer!

• shine1075

I am probably one of the ones you see with 5-7 things of the same item in their cart. We are a family of 6 so 1 or 2 boxes of ceral doesn't go to far. We stock when what we want is on sale. We also buy enough to donate on things that are a great deal that we don't use. I have mulitple printers and buy a lot of papers. I don't feel bad at all, first come first serve. There have been many times that I had to get a rain check, never complained about it.

• Jesskids

What zip can you find the Angel Soft Q? It does not show up for mine :(

• keasley

I finally get it!! I just saved more than I spent at Publix. ^67$ worth of groceries for $30 and change. I was exhilarated!! There was a tear pad for buy one Oreos cookies and get a free Oreo cakester. It was at the end of an isle not on the isle where the cookies were. It was a fluke I spotted it.

• kris76

Frusion yogurt smoothie… B1G1 store coupon in Healthy kids Healthy Meals flier, pair with 2 1.00 off coupons from SS 3/07. You get 2 for 1.50! They're really yummy. My family flies through them.

• Robynne in TN

Thank you very much! :)

• Ruth

I got them tonight and my son 20 months loved it…..I love the 5/25 coupon that makes them even cheaper…..

• kris76

what coupon is 5/25?

• there is a .50/1 Target coupon (store Q) that can be combined with the Sobe Life WAter BOGO coupon, making 2 of them FREE!

• Get Over It!

Don't complain here…Complain to your Store!!

• Lynn

does anyone know what zip code to use to get the $1 off angel soft bath tissue on red plum?

• stephylow

The powerades at my store had 1.00 off peelie on them! Im going back tonight to get more. Makes them 1.93 each 8pk !

• I tried the link Jenny offered for the Birds Eye Steamfresh Meals and didnot see it there, is there another zip code or another website where I can find it, any help is appreciated.

• Melissa H

Debra – Has anyone replied to you via email, by chance? I can't find a good zip for that Q either … Melissa

• Brooke82

The only Birds Eye Meals Q's I see are the ones for the Volia meals. Maybe that is the coupon to use since the Q says Birds Eye. Use zip 75050.

• Michelle

For those that are frustrated that you can't get the advantage flyers, my publixwas out of the green ones, and CS said that each cashier has a booklet and will be happy to put in the q code. I needed to do this for the Sure deodorant, not sure if it would work for the manu q's in the fliers, but it seemed like for the store q's it would not be a problem. Hope this helps some that are disapointed when they can't find the advantage fliers.
Also~it really helps to know when your stores get their trucks in. I always have good luck going on a day that they've been restocked. And don't assume that they are completely out of someting because it isn't on the shelf, sometimes they just havn't had a chance to get that product out yet. Always ask. I have to say that Publix ROCKS !

• kathy

does anyone know what zip to use for the $1.50 off coupon for the birdseye steamfresh meals?

Where can I find the $4 off store coupon? It says in the ad, but I haven't seen it.

Where is the $4 off store coupon? It says it's in the ad, but I haven't found it.

Where is the $4 off store coupon? It's supposed to be in the ad, but I can't find it.

• clw2283

I'm sorry I posted the same thing twice. I couldn't see my post until I sorted them with the newest first.

• Marina115

I'm not sure which $4 coupon your talking about, but you can print all the in ad coupons on the publix website. Just click on “weekly ads” up at the top, type your zip and scroll to where it says coupons.

• pamela

i found a lil coupon book on lysol products and it has a $1.00 off one things of wipes and also with the old el paso deal listed you could use the buy 2 old el paso products then get a free seasoning “peelie”

• jessicahoover

Question, I am semi-new, Publix has B1G1 on Kens house dressing, and in the ss I have, for 3/7 I have a b1g1 for Kens house dressing. How does this work? If I want to use it while they are having the B1g1 on the dressing?

• MommySpendsLess

That depends on where you live.

Here in Florida, items actually ring up BOGO during a BOGO sale (first one at full price, second one at $0.00). A BOGO coupon takes off the full price of an item, as long as you purchase 2 of them, so you would buy one at $3.64 and one at $0.00 and the coupon would take off $3.64 so you would get both of them for free!

In other states items ring up half off during a BOGO sale so I assume you would buy two of them at $1.64 each and your coupon would take off $1.64.

• Mamaberry

don't you love that part of our BOGO's here in FL??

• Carrie

You mean there's actually a benefit to living here in Florida? I've been feeling shortchanged since we don't get our coupons doubled and we have to purchase two items for BOGO instead of getting half-price for one item. Glad to know there is an up side.

• jessicahoover

I have a b1g1 in my SS from 3/7 for Kens salad dressing. Can it be used with the B1g1 that publix is having, and if so, how does it work? I am fairly new to the coupon scene. Thanks!

• Sarah

At my publix in Tallahassee you would combine the sale and coupon to get the following deal: Buy One, get TWO free. Awesome!

• jessicahoover

I am in Gainesville Florida, our BIGI rings up just that, no half price…BOO to that! So I can use the coupon and buy 1 and get 2 free? That is awesome. Thanks Sarah!

• Marina115

it depends where your location is. For example in Georgia, our B1G1 ring up as half price. So we would still pay half for the other one. But you could use a $ off coupon on the other one to make it a better deal. In Florida though, they truly ring up as 1 full price and the other free. So you could pay for one and get 2 free.

• Marina115

sorry, i just realized someone already answered your other post above!! :)

• Melissa H

Just a warning, don't know if it will be the same at your store, but the Ken's dressings that are B1G1 at my local Publix(s) do not include the Healthy Choices that the B1G1 Manf Q from the 3/7 paper are for, so its not a match/can't be combined … But that's my local stores here in Central FL … Hope its different for ya where you are!

• shaunascoupons

On the cover of RP 3/14 there is a GP rebate that starts 3-11 for many of their products including the Dixie stuff that Jenny posted with the funny in ad coupon. The rebate is $5 when you spend $20. You all will get the rest of the details when you get your RP. So if you happen to buy the Dixie stuff then save your receipt. Also included in the rebate are Brawny, Quilted Northern and Vanity Fair.

I personally will save the rebate for the paper towels.

• Molly

There are $1 off coupons on Target's coupon site for Energizer batteries.

• diana

Hello everyone! I recently learned of this site about 3 weeks ago and am LOVING IT!! However, it does take me a few hours to get organized…my list, coupons printed…etc. I am hoping to get FASTER in the upcoming weeks though.:) But I do have a few questions….. Where do I find the PG coupons? Also, if it says SS 1/07..does that mean Smart Source? But what does the date after it mean? Any help, advice, and/or suggestions are GREATLY APPRECIATED. PS. I went to Publix the other night just to get a few things…my total was 43.68…after coupons $13.61!!! BOTH my son and I were so excited!! Thank you :)

• Tom

The PG is a newspaper insert like SS (smart source). The date is the publication date of the ad. Are you in FL?

• Diana

yes Tom, I live in the Jax area.

• socoupon

Hi Diana,

There are three inserts that are found in Sunday papers – not always at once.

SS – Smart Source
PG – Proctor and Gamble
RP – Red Plum

The date after the acronym means the date that the insert was placed in the paper. As you start buying papers and obtaining inserts these dates will become very important for indentifying where the coupon you need is. I don't ever clip my coupons, but instead keep the insert in a file folder with the date that it came out written on the front cover (be sure you check the back side to make sure you're not writing on the back of a coupon because when you cut it out, the date will be gone with it!)

Go to Jenny's “Getting Started” tab at the top of her banner. It's very helpful!

• diana

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! I will buy Sunday's paper :)

• andrea

This answer may already be here somewhere, so I apologize if I'm asking this twice – does anyone know if you can use a competitor coupon and a manufacture coupon for the same item? The Soft Scrub Total is on sale for $2.50 and I have a $1.50 mfr printable as well as a Target $1 printable, which would make it free. Will this work? I know my store won't accept a Publix and competitor coupon for the same item, but wasn't sure about competitor + mfr. This would be a great deal for everyone to print out if it works (assuming someone hasn't stockpiled on cleaners! ha ha!) So, does anyone know? Thanks!

• socoupon

andrea, it may depend on your store (so ask to be sure when you get there) but my Publix treats a competitor coupon as a store coupon – so they do allow me to stack with a manuf. q

• Linda K

Ladies – Do you know if the sales get any better on Easter candy as it gets closer to the holiday or should I buy the candy now.

• ireneY

There's probably more Qs coming out later. Also, CVS seems to have better deals with ECB back. Their sale bags are smaller and cheaper so you'll get better discounts when matching Qs to items. MTCW!

• emily_hope

I went to our local Publix today. The Edge/Skintimate shave gels were $1.97 each and were BOGO. I got them for .98/.99 cents each.

• Friends, can we please remember that this part of SS is a resource for us and that the comments are a great place to find links to additional coupons and info about other store specials. Since we all talk about how long it can take to plan with coupons and we all know time=money when you are a couponer, could generic comments about how much stockpiling is too much, what's fair and what's not go on the Facebook fan wall so we can keep the comments related to the current sale, helpful, and quick to scan? Thanks!

• amycorene

For those soy & almond milk lovers out there, I noticed today 3/12 that the Silk brand was still on sale 2 for 5.00, this is a great deal. The blinkies are still in the store, and you could use the $1.00 off 1 coupon that came out a while ago (or order a pack pretty cheap from ebay). Probably the best deal you're gonna find!

• Melissa H

Wow … was hoping to find a valid print zip for the Birdseye Steamfresh Meals for 2 Manf Q, but can't find it amongst the dialouge happening here tonight …

• kathy

Have you had any luck locating a good zip? I have been trying for days.

• Melissa H

Nope … The only thing I have found so far was on krazykouponlady's site and she had her link crossed out with a side note saying the Q was no longer available …

• Misty

I have a vent. Wed I had a great trip to publix. Spent 35 and saved 70. This included the tide in ad coupon deal. I realized how great that deal was and then wanted to go back to publix today and do it again. I went to a different publix and they would not let me use the in ad coupon for buy tide, downy and tide stain release and the manf coupon of get tide stain release free. It just frustrated me so much. The cashier and the manager acted like I was using two free coupons when the store coupon does not say anything about using other coupons, it just stated to get 8 dollars off. I should not be so aggravated because I get so many great deals, but needed to vent. Thanks Jenny for all you do!

• momto2boys

I think you should contact corporate about that one….

• Elizabeth

I can't find the YoPlus coupons in the SS ad listed above. Is that the correct date? Any ideas on where to find some additional coupons?

• Hi, it's the SS insert, 2/7, but look for the General Mills one, the one with the black cover, and the race car on it.

• Anonymous

Jenny, there’s a Georgia Pacific mail-in rebate out that include Dixie cups and more. The rebate is here: http://www.gp.com/everydayessentials/rebate.html

Here’s the post about it on my blog!http://allaboarddeals.blogspot.com/2010/03/new-…ErinAll Aboard Deals

• Sarah

Let's put this in perspective . . . it's just groceries. Calm down, chill, find your zen, say a prayer and focus on what you are doing and not everyone else. It makes life a whole lot easier.

• savedollars

Great deal … If you need 18 jars of sauce … have your husband snipped! (e.g., “LOL”)!

• rlackey618

I had a terrible experience at Publix in Alabaster, AL yesterday. They are so critical of all coupon shopping. The cashier held up the entire line by analizing EVERY coupon (I bought over $100 worth of groceries and paid $30 so that was a lot of coupons)She made me feel like a criminal and even called over a manager to make sure some coupons were “legal”, they were STORE COUPONS, of course they were legal. The manager then told me that they were extra strict on coupon fraud. WOW i felt like a criminal! i was mortified. Well I guess sometimes that just part of it. I had a great trip to Walgreens and Rite Aid that made up for it. Anyway, the SUNDOWN vitamins coupon $6/2 store coupon are great. The Vitamin D is only 2.99 so with that coupon alone they a FREE! Just want to let y'all know!

• Amanda

I shop at the Alabaster Publix. I've found that the younger cashiers are much better to work with than the older women. I've only had one bad trip and now I avoid that cashier.

• rlackey618

I have noticed that too but this was worse than usual. I'm glad someone else understands!

• Brooke82

Exactly what do they do if you commit coupon fraud??? I wouldn't do that myself but I was just wondering. Do they just not let you use the Q's or is it illegal? lol

• chelizabeth

I don't think you get arrested or anything!!! lol….I'm sure they will just not let you use the coupon. The problem is though, that the more people that try to use fraudulent coupons (just for the record, I'm not saying ANYONE on here is…just saying) the harder stores are going to crack down to those of us who are actually being honest. It stinks, but unfortunately there are people out there that try it =(

• Snowski824

Jenny posted something a few months ago about fraudulent coupons and some of them could result in prosecution if you get caught creating fraudulent coupons.

• anonymous

I think people are missing the point. The people who are upset or “venting” are upset because they feel that people who buy 30 toothbrushes or 100 boxes of cookies and getting them for pennies are reselling these items at other venues i.e. ebay, flea markets, etc etc. I don't think most people have problems when someone buys in “bulk” when they are feeding their families or donating these items. I think that some of us feel that those who are doing this are endangering our couponing futures for fear that the stores will continue to make it harder and harder to get a good deal.

• Tina

Really…people sale these deals on ebay? Wow, never thought of doing that. Guess it might be a good way to get rid of all the overstock I have in my pantry! JK :)

• noleinfla

Awesome day at Publix in Summerville!! They used the Harris Teeter coupons in conjunction with the Rite aid $5 off $25! With coupons and all spent $18.97 on $79.47!!!! Thanks for all the info…keep up the awesome job:)

• Barbara

Help, I can't find the Dixie product coupons in the RP 1/24. Any help, maybe another date they are in? Thanks so much for your help, in advance.

• Carrie

Go to “The Coupon Clippers”. There you can look up what coupon you want and it will tell you the date it came out. Hope that helps.

• Lynette

Good morning al!
I am getting ready to go to Publix and I have a quick question I hope someone can answer before I go

For the Cheerios/Milk/Granola in ad coupon deal – can I buy just the cereal cups? It is written on the coupon BUT I wanted to make sure.

I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks :)

• MrsJJ

I need some advice from the season couponers. Here is what happened. Yesterday i went to Publix for what i wanted to be a small shop, but i had coupons for everything i picked it, and some of them i had store and MQ. The guy kept messing up my coupons, one coupon i wrote him for him it was for a free item $6.99 he only put in .99c so i told him and he fixed it, so from then on i looked at the display to see what he was putting in, looking back a few times to see how many coupons he rang up. Well he gets to a point and he said the machine wont take any more coupons because you have more coupons than items and he gets a manager. When the manager gets there he told her only 2 coupons did not go through which were the two coupons for the buy these two plus this and get this much off. I think they were more coupons but he mixed them all in so i could not tell if he rang all of them. Manager starts sorting through the coupons and questioning me how many yogurts did you get how many of these etc, i answered her with no problems i had 8 yo plus and 8 coupons. Then she gives me my total, which seem way off from what i thought but i figured i must have miscalculated or perhaps he did not ring up all my coupons. Anyway i am about to slide my card and she pulls out the free greek yogurt coupon and ask me if thats a copy????i tell her yes and tell her the name of the site where it came from , i was thinking really u think i would copy a coupon for a $1.19 coupon?? and i had customers behind me. So i came home and its been bothering me since yesterday. He did not ring up my .30 coupon for yogurt, and i had a b1g2Free which should have been 2.58 he only put it 2.50 and the highest he could have been was 2.99 so it makes me wonder what else did he miscalculate or dit not put it in. Also if a coupon does not qualify shouldn't he give it back to me? How do you guys figure it out while at the store if all your coupons were rang up???Any advice would be great.

I have had similar problems in the past. What I do now is I divide my trips into 2 (sometimes 3) where I can manage all my items and coupons better. Visually it's better for me and the cashier with a fewer amount of items and mistakes are easier and faster to catch this way.
Keep on saving! :)

• lucy2778

I had a similar problem at Publix a couple of days ago. Bought 1 box of Pampers and 1 box of Huggies diapers, used 2 store coupons and 2 manf. coupons, and the guy said I could only use 2 since I had more coupons than items… so I suggest getting some filler items, something that you need. Also, like Lynette said in the reply, it helps to divide the trips into 2 or 3. I know that's a waste of gas and time, but it really helps. And the third suggestion is to find a good cashier and “make friends” with her. I have one gal in my Publix who knows me and all my coupons. Every time, I smile and tell her, “I'm back with all my coupons :)” And she never has any problems with them. Finding a good cashier and always going to her/him always helps.

I've never had that hard a time at publix, but I did have a cashier spread all my coupons out like cards and match them up as they went along. Which took forever. If they don't use your coupon then they should give them back to you, they will submit them and get their money, but you didn't get yours :( I would try to find a different cashier next time or a different store, some are more coupon friendly than others. As long as you are following the rules you shouldn't have any issues. Also if you can find a copy of the stores official coupon policy it helps to carry it with you, so that if you have any issues you can clear them up…

Been in a similar situation before. It is very frustrating. Making 2 or 3 trips helps me better monitor the accuracy of the coupons, especially during a great sale. Also, I generally stay away from pdf file coupons (adobe reader coupons) because they look photocopied and are not worth the hassel of the cashier, customer service manager, etc. “nicely” accusing me of copying coupons.

I literally place my items on the confayer belt in the exact order that I give my coupons to the cashier. Yes, it takes more time, but makes monitoring my order much easier. It also saves the cashier time if they want to match everything together. Best of all, it makes me appear that I have nothing to hide.

Once I got in my favorite cashiers line only to have her replaced, just before my order, with an ornery, not-to-pleasant older cashier who literally laid out all my items to match them with the coupon. In doing so, she dropped coupons, unorganized them, and questioned coupon wording. Many coupons say “one coupon per item”, so she argued that I couldn't combine it with a Publix coupon. I do think she knew better because she has worked there for several years. I genuinely felt harassed.

Making friends with your favorite cashier is helpful, but those folks are not always working. As couponers we have to realize that we will encounter those people from time to time.

• Tina

Oops..that's conveyer belt, not confayer belt! :)

• cathy

I usually hand my coupons one at a time to the cashier. If they comment or give me a “look”, I politely stand my ground. If there were to be a problem, I probably would tell them about how hard I work to find, cut out and match up the coupons. Consequently, I like to make sure they count.

I have unintentionally been shorted coupons during checkout at various stores. Handing the coupons one at a time to the cashier, allows me (and the cashier) to see that they are entered correctly.

Sundown Vitamin D were $2.99 in my store, buy 2, use $6/2 in-ad coupon, get both for free. Better yet, also use the $3/2 printable, and make $3 profit from buying these!

Sundown Vitamin B6 is $3.49, buy 2, use $6/2 in-ad coupon and $3/2 printable, and still make $2 profit :)

• lucy2778

Barilla Piccolini pasta was $1.39 in my store, use 2 $0.55/1 coupons from SS 3/07, get each both boxes for less than 30 cents :)

• Ivey

what zip are you using for the Birdseye meal 1.50q?

• Snowski824

I think the coupon is out of prints. I printed one 3 weeks ago on my zip and now it's gone.

• melindaruth

I purchased the deal today with the Scrubbing Bubbles $3.29, Windex $3.39, and Pledge Wipes $3.29. I used all the suggested coupons and ended up paying $1.15 per product. On the bottle of Windex there was a special rebate offer from SCJohnson. You get the rebate if you buy three of the participating products. The three items above are all on the list so I am going to mail it in and make some profit. This rebate offer has been going on since last September but it is still good through June 2010. There is a limit of three $5.00 rebates per household so if you already did this offer once you may be able to get it again! SCJohnson.com/value to print the rebate form.
Tip: When you are checking out make sure that the cashier uses the correct coupon code on the Publix store coupon to get the $4.00 off. There are two codes on the coupon one is for $2.00 off the first two products and the second is for the deal with three products. The cashier that rang me up messed up but it was easily fixed. Just make sure to watch! Good Luck

• shaunascoupons

Thanks Melinda! I wasn't going to do this deal at first but now I am excited about it with the rebate!

• Lucy

Thanks so much, I use all of these products and was going to do the deal anyway, now I'm super excited about the rebate. And I can do it three times. Yay!!! I also have some receipts from Glade products from a month ago, so that's another $5 for me. Thanks so much :)

I wanted to post something positive for dog owners since majority of posts are complaints and venting. I was in my Publix last night and they had pet flyers by the turnsatnd when you walk in for different Publix pet coupons. One of them was for $3 off any one bag of Purina dog food. You can stack this with the Man. $3 Q to get $6 off a bag. I know the smaller bags run $6.99 which would then come to .99 a bag! Great for small dog owners! My only problem is I left my flers in my cart last night. Oh well, I will just go back today to get some. They had plenty and I have 4 Publix within a 5 mile radius of my house.

• chelizabeth

Ooh Ooh!!! Pet owner here! Is there a title or anything on this flyer? I found one a couple of weeks ago, but didn't have 3$ off on there. So, it might be a different one! I'm LOVING cheap dog food. I used to faithfully buy the Wal-mart Ol'Roy brand bc I thought even with coupons you wouldn't find it cheaper. But I have found differently lately. Poor dogs have different food every few weeks but oh well, they'll eat it if they are hungry!

• SweetDenia

I'm not seeing the Dixie cups coupon in RP 3/14. Am I missing something? The cover of mine has coupons for Aussie and Herbal Essences products. I found the GP rebate offer online, but I don't have the RP coupon. Any ideas?

Thanks for all the fabulous info here at Southern Savers! :)

• kmoon

Jenny, I wish you would suspend all comments until people quit their…. well you know. This is the second post I've been on in as many days and nothing but a ton of complaints!!! I used to enjoy reading through the comments because everyone was so HELPFUL and rarely would anyone complain, and now? I'm just going to pretend there is no comment section. Good grief people.

• anonymous

And now you are complaining about the complaining!?!?! The best way to end it is for everyone to stop talking about it and move on.

• melissa

anyone know the zip for the steam fresh meals?

• Leah_in_SC

I did my Publix trip yesterday and found some deals I thought were worth sharing.

The Powerade 8 pks had peelies on them for $1/1 making them $1.99 (regularly $5.99)! The Atkins shake coupons I had from SS 1/03 were for $1.50/1 making them only $3 (regulary $7+)! The Tylenol cold daytime liquid I was going to buy anyway with the Green Advantage Flyer $2/1 store q (because I'm miserably sick and needed it right then) had a manu q hanging on it for $2/1, making it $2.99 (regularly $6.99). The Rosetto cheese ravioli with tomato basil sauce was marked down to $1 and my q was for $1.50/2 so I paid $.25 each (some of you have $1/1 qs which would make it free). What else – oh I found a peelie on my strawberries for $1 off wyb cool whip (which the big tubs were on sale for $2). And one of the employees I know saw me with a bag of Fast Fixin chicken tenders (I was going to stack a store and manu q for $2 off – the store q expires this week)…well he told me to hold off because he *thought* they would be bogo this week. I'm hoping he is right…that will make them $.99 after sale and qs. I spent more than usual this week, probably because I was sick and just didn't really care too much, but I did SAVE $146. :)

• 3monkeysmom

Thanks for the heads-up about the Fast-Fixin Chicken :-) I hope he was right, I've been waiting for an oppurtunity to use the q's I have for those.

• chelizabeth

I saw on iheartpublix.com's sneak peek that they are BOGO this week! Let's hope she's right because I have those coupons too!! =)

• Charity

I saw the Sundown Vit. D at the Publix in Snellville, but they weren't 3.49. Is there a specific milligram amount that I should be looking for?

• Baz

Look for the 400IU bottles. At my store they are at $2.99.

• Aly B

Aren't the Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex and Pledge participating products for the $5 SC Johnson rebate? If so, makes the deal even sweeter!

Diaper deal at Publix

Here is a scenario for some cheap Pampers (or Huggies) diapers at Publix:

(1) Pampers big box of diapers $19.99
(2) Sundown Naturals Vitamin D $2.99
(1) Filler item under $1 (needed because most Publixes don't allow more coupons than items)

$3/1 Publix-in ad coupon on pampers diapers
$2/1 Pampers manf. coupon from various sources
$6/2 Publix store coupon on vitamins from March to Savings
$3/2 Sundown naturals vitamins

Pay about $13 – for a big pack of diapers, 2 vitamins, and a filler item. The overage for the vitamins goes towards the diapers :)

• clw2283

That is definitely an awesome deal!! I am going to try it tomorrow. Thanks!!!

Here's what I need help with related to coupons and buying in bulk, I don't have the storage space to buy tons of extras every week. What do others do?
Second, in regards to menu planning – I'm impressed with the savings listed but I'm still confused over what combination of these items can be used to cook 3 meals a day for a family of 5 for a week. My husband wants meat at every meal and I am trying to cook a little more healthy and choosing less processed foods. Any tips on how to incorporate coupons with specific menus and a little more healthy snack choices for my kids? Thanks!

I have the same problem that you do with the space. I do NOT have space for 20 boxes of cereal or 40 bags of veggies! Nor do I have extra space (or extra money) for another freezer. My mother buys items in bulk and has groceries all over the house. I refuse to allow my house to turn into a pantry! Ideas would be great, but I still don't think I'll ever be able to buy so much of a particular item, I don't care how cheap it is. They (or a VERY similar item) will be on sale again in just a few weeks.

Where do you get the advantage Buy Flyer?

• Carrie

Should be in a turnstyle when you first walk in the store. There will be two of them, one yellow and one green. If you don't see them, ask Customer Service.

• sheba18

Hi! Thanks for your help.

• LindaK

You need to ask at the customer service desk for the Advantage Buy flyer.

• sheba18

Hi! OK Thanks!!

• ashley4

Can someone tell me if they feel like the huggies wipes is a good deal at publix? I have both coupons to make the refill $3.74

• That's a very good deal if you have both coupons.

• qpawn

Just wanted to say “Thank You!” for giving me the best deal possible. Feeding a family of 6 can be expensive.

I just found this website a couple of weeks ago and have been lurking….

I finally put together my list along with coupons and did my Publix shopping today. I brought most of the items listed above and was able to save $104.47, spent $54.45 (w/tax). What a deal! Thank you so much.

• Lucy

Any ideas of who or where I can donate the Sundown Naturals Vitamin D? We dont use it, but it was a money maker :)

• Carrie

Our local food bank takes vitamins/OTC medicines, make-up, diapers, toiletries, etc. I have been told that if they can't use them then they find someone who can. For example: the local women's shelter would have need for toiletries, make-up and diapers among other things. I have also been told that whatever I feel like donating, they will make sure it gets to someone who needs it.

If I have a coupon for BOGO Free Ken's Dressing and the store has the dressing on sale for BOGO does this mean I get both FREE?

• Carrie

Typically it should, but if you're referring to the BOGO coupon that I think you are, it is for the 8 oz and the BOGO sale is for the 16 oz, so it wouldn't work.

• SPH

Just had a great trip to Publix – even on the last day of the sale, still found most of what I needed, with rainchecks for those that were out. However, I FORGOT to have them use my sale ad for the -$3 for the milk, GM Cereal and Nature Valley item. Any one know if I can take the receipt back and have them adjust it? I actually thought it would auto deduct, but didn't realize I had to treat it like a real coupon. My loss I guess. Anyway, it was a fabo trip – paid $71 and saved $76!

• cindersga

Have a couple of questions. 1) there was a coupon from Publix for BOGO Neosporin Lip Health and then a coupon in the paper for $1.00 off one. Has anyone done this deal and is it cheap? (My Publix is not that close) 2) The BOGO Publix coupon for Frusion Fruit Smoothie stacked with the paper coupon for 3) Won the Party at Your House Digiorno they sent $4 coupons for the pizza and bread sticks combo pack. Has anyone seen these and do you know if they are part of the Funny In Ad Publix deal this week? $4 off could make it an even sweeter deal.

• bigbadgirl

I always wait until the last day to go to Publix for the sale and end up with at least 6 rainchecks. When will I learn? LOL!

• Carrie

Sometimes the rainchecks are better. For example, I got a raincheck for Hostess Donuts (one of those things I NEED when they are on sale, not just want – but that's beside the point) when they were BOGO. Since they rarely have coupons, I don't have to worry about any coupons expiring. So now, I'm just waiting until they go on a regular sale and then use my BOGO raincheck to get them cheaper than if I had gotten them the week they were truely BOGO to begin with. So, rainchecks can be a good thing.
