I wouldn’t think you’d be allowed to use both the $10 off and the free strips coupons, since they’re on the same product.

      • Katherine

I am wondering the same thing. Has anyone been successful with this?

        • JSSMommy

The coupons are not on the same product. The $10 off coupon is for the starter kit OR gel strips. The $14.99 off is wyb the starter kit you can get up to 14.99 off (depending on the sale price and how much the computer will auto deduct) Hope this helps! :)

          • Kristina

I did a price check at my store first and the kit came up as $17.99. So you could use $10 off that price. Plus the free strips coupon with a purchase if kit. This definitely works out to what is listed after they give you the $5 up. You are allowed to use a coupon for each item.

            • JSSMommy

I thought so. I’m about to check out the deal now! Thanks :)

          • Never_Speechless

I was successful with the coupons but I’m going back again today to do it again. Looking closely at the 10- coupon it is NOT on gel strips. It is for the insta gel strip starter kit OR the gel strips starter kit….but not the plain gel strips. Shocked they are taking this.

    • Couponer

This deal doesnt match up for me. If the starter kit is 29.98 and you use the free coupon and the $10 off coupon wouldnt it be 19.98? Plus +5 up. Which would be 14.98? Which is about $7.50 each item? Maybe Im reading it wrong.

      • Kristina

I’m wondering if maybe the starter kit is 40% off of the $29.98?

      • Katherine

The front page of the ad says that the products of Sally Hansen are 40% off.

    • Smatson

if the kit is 40% off then it makes it $17.98 then use $10 off makes it 7.98 then you get $5+ makes it 2.98

      • Katherine

Will Rite Aid systems take the $10 off even though it is printed at home and is worth more than $5?

    • Smatson

if the kit is 40% off then it makes it $17.98 then use $10 off makes it 7.98 then you get $5+ makes it 2.98

    • CouponingGradStudent

I just did this deal at my local Rite Aid. The Manager had to come override the system and ended up taking off the full price for both coupons!! I used the $10 off Gel Nail Starter Kit AND the $14.99 off Gel Nail Strips when you buy Kit (even though Gel Strips were on sale for 7.49 she took off the full amount without hesitation). In the end I paid $2.01 for both items and got back a $5 UP+ reward. Great Deal! Thanks Jenny!!

      • guest

        where are you located?

    • Monique

Thank you thank you thank you. I’ve had my eye on this kit (or a similar brand) for a while, but I couldn’t fathom kicking out $50+ for it. Now, I can get one for myself, and one for my friend (who has also been wanting a kit) and spend less than $6!

    • SmilingApple

I just did it and it worked great. I ended up getting both for 7.98 and got the 5.00 UP+ reward. The manager did have to come over because the register didn’t want to take the second coupon.

    • Nicole

I just did this deal at Rite Aid and it worked just like Jenny said. The manager was my cashier and she definitely had to type something in manually to make it work. She did not say anything about it and put it through no problem. Since she was a manager and could fix it herself, I don’t know if one of the coupons would have beeped and/or been a problem for a regular cashier. What an amazing deal! Thanks, Jenny!

    • Rebecca Barr

I bought 2 kits and 2 boxes of strips using coupons for each item and my total was 7.60 after some finagling by the manager to get the coupons to work plus 10.00 UP+ (5.00 for each). They honored both coupons like the coupon policy states, but the system struggled and didn’t want to take off the right amounts.

    • Vicky

PLEASE HELP!!! I can’t print out the buy the starter kit, get the strips free coupon. Does any one have an extra?

      • Guest

have one extra. what’s your email or home address for me to contact you?

    • stacey

This deal did not work for me and now im afraid the store may have invalidated my coupons.

I purchased two starter kits and two strips. both the $10 of coupons and the free strip coupons went throught initially, but the cashier said she had to call the manager because the free strip coupon was taking off $14.99 and the strips only cost 8.99. (that was fine with me) so she calls a very unhelpful manager named Danny who starts rattling off things like one coupon per purchase. Things that dont have anything to do with the problem.

so the cashier starts the transaction over and now the free strips coupon is saying “No item purchased”

I am so dissapointed. I really wanted this product. If you are in the charlotte area, stay away from the Ballantyne store.

      • Stacey,

If you still have your coupons that were not invalidated. The coupons are still good and you should be able to use them wherever you choose. :-)

        • stacey

          Thanks Tommy,

I just dont understand why a different error msg. came up. It didnt come up the first time. everything went through. it was only when she tried to do it again. I may try it again at a more cooperative store.

    • Jamie

Can’t thank you enough for this tip!! Got the deal this morning…my cashier had to manually do something, but she didn’t have any problems with doing it!! :)

    • LizInDallas

I just tried this at the Rite Aid in Dallas, NC. They said that the free strips coupon attached to both items so I couldn’t use both coupons. I just let them void the transaction. Wanted to try these but not enough to pay that much for them.

    • mspony

You can’t can’t stack two manufactor’s coupons on one item even if the other will be free I AM A RITE AID CASHIER AND ALMOST GOT FIRED CAUSE I TRIED TO DO THIS DEAL FOR A CUSTOMER! Ihad to call my manager to key in the bogo coupon cause it wouldnt scan my manager said it was coupon fraud cause its stacking two MC one item after the bogo q honestly im not going to lose my job just so you can get a good deal sorry its just not worth I would advise only to use one coupon cause you get someone in trouble, like I am

      • mspony,

This is copied directly from the Rite-Aid coupon policy at the Rite-Aid website.

        Buy One, Get One Free

? Rite Aid accepts Buy One, Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased. A customer can use one “cents off” coupon (a coupon of fixed value such as $.50, $1.25, etc.) in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion (or with a Buy One, Get One Free coupon), although the value of the cents off coupon cannot exceed the selling price of the item. Customers can use up to two coupons with a Buy One, Get One at a % off promotion, provided the total value of the coupons does not exceed the selling price of the two items combined.

        Hope this helps :-)

      • Guest

The store manager rung up my sale and had no problem scanning the two coupons for me. Deal worked just like Jenny stated. Also, Tommy_TCC is correct with the Rite Aid coupon policy statement. I don’t think the manager at my Rite Aid would take these coupons had it been against corporate policy. Perhaps you should suggest to your store manager talk with corporate for clarification on coupon policies so he/she can train employees correctly?

    • Lisa

Just bought these at my Rite-Aid using the two coupons. Cashier had to put in the free gel strips coupon first and then the $10 off coupon. For some reason, the free coupon wasn’t working when she scanned, so she had to put it in manually. Nothing to do with the deal, just the coupon itself. I used the one from the 7/14 RP circular. Cost me $9+ with tax minus the $5 UP rewards. Good deal!!

    • houdi98

I just tried to get the deal at my Rite Aid, and I got the same statements Tommy offered up. I think as “couponers” we should respect their policies. While I was very disappointed I could not get the deal, I am okay with it.

    • HoneebeeD

I did this deal this morning in Greensboro, NC. I actually bought the regular gel polish kit which normally is around 70 bucks. After the coupons and wellness card, I paid right under 30 bucks. I plan on doing it again and get the gel strip kit. I didn’t have any problems either. I placed my two items on the counter and put the corresponding coupons on each product.

      • tosha

which on did you go to

        • HoneebeeD

I went to the one by Summit Ave.

    • shay

this worked great – i bought two of each since my friend and i hade been eying it for a while. thanks for the tip. the manager did have to key it in because my $10 off i printed would not scan.

    • hedgehog

I can’t find these items at the stores in town or on-line. Any help?

      • Kristina

My store was out earlier in the week but they got more in their stock today (1 more). They are by the Sally Hansen nail polish and make up in my store. My store is newer and has the beauty products in the middle of the store. You might want to call and ask if they carry them first.

    • Never_Speechless

I did very well on this deal. I was lucky and had a manger already on the register….none of my coupons gave me any trouble but the way it was calculating was confusing to me and another item I was buying but changed my mind on wouldn’t delete so he started from scratch and he rang them all in manually. Looks like he made a mistake and gave me 17.98 (retail) on the free gel strips even though the maximum value of the coupon was 14.99. I also had the 10- off coupon applied which means the total cost for me was NEGATIVE 99 cents….and with the $5- Up reward…they paid me 5.99 to purchase these two products :)

      • Never_Speechless

I also did very well here at Rite Aid on Covergirl products. Lots were marked down 75% and I had coupons for them that made them free. 2 free lipsticks, 50 cent eye shadow and a nail polish 1- off coupon. I also did the Tom’s toothpaste with coupons….total sale was 6.72 but waked out with a total of 6- up rewards. OMG! Awesome.

    • Awesome CPS

I think this Sally Hansen deal is AWESOME!!!!( IF YOU THINK SO MAKE A SMILY FACE AND SEND IT THROUGH) :0 :) by the way I’m only 17 years old and I love to help my mom. I think its amazing, you get so much just by using paper with a bar code, some pictures, and a big sign that says… save… and you get a whole supply to last you a while.

    • Leah

Like many others I had no problem doing this deal. At my store the Manager was on the checkout when I brought the items up. He did have to key in the amount of the free strips but he said that was normal. I mentioned that I was relieved it was so easy and he said there was no reason for it not to be. He then restated the rite aid coupon policy and said he was always happy to help couponers who were following the policy. I’m sorry to hear so many had issues with this deal. It’s really a shame that the stores can’t do better training across the board for their coupon policies.

    • Tosha

When you watch the Almay video online for $2.00 off and the almay $2.00 off for newspaper I ended up getting the lip gloss the was 5.99 for 1.99

    • Mel

Thanks so much! This deal worked great – Love a cheap but lasting manicure and Sally!!!

    • Kristina

The store was out but got more in today of the starter kit. This rang up as $14.99 off and $10 off. So I ended up buying a normal nail polish with the Starter Kit and strips which gave me two $5 UPs. I ended up making about $4 on about $50 worth of Sally Hansen. Great deal thanks Jenny!

So if you missed out earlier in the week you might want to check back later tonight or Saturday. They weren’t giving rain checks on these I was told since they were free with coupons. That might have just been my store though.

    • Stacy Harkins

I live in Blairsville Ga our store will not take internet coupons for over $5 so it really did not work for me. But it is a really awesome deal for those that did get it. I don’t understand how you guys got the store to take the $10 off coupon when the store policy say no internet coupons over $5 is this an individual store thing or for every store.
