I got excited when I saw this post. We are in the market for an extra freezer. However, quite a few of the negative posts are really bad. Many have had their freezers fail within just a few months of getting them. (One poor family had theirs fail another time after the repairs were made.) Also, this model is incredibly loud, keeping people awake on other floors of the home. Check out the one and two star reviews…

I own this exact freezer and it’s been perfect for me….. It has a 4 star rating overall on the sears website.

I used to love Sear’s products, but I agree.  I’ve had nothing but grief from 2 out of my 3 Kenmore appliances (and they were all brand new).  However the one Kenmore product I haven’t had issues with is a fridge, so who knows.  Not sure I’d be willing to gamble on this.

My freezer we have had for 20 years us a Kenmore, but I have heard they aren’t as good as they used to be.
