Are you still stuck on what to give Dad for Father’s Day?  I raided my husband’s bookshelf for some of the books he has loved.  Many of these are great for any guy, I mean what guy doesn’t love cooking over an open fire?

Many of these you could pay extra for to have in time for Sunday, or just take the list and head to a local bookstore.  Grab a coffee for yourself while you are there and selflessly spend the afternoon by yourself shopping for your husband.  Doesn’t that sound nice?

Top Father’s Day Books

Wood-Fired Cooking: Techniques and Recipes $20.67

The Southerner’s Handbook $20.26

How to Grill: The Complete Illustrated Book of Barbecue Techniques $13.98

The Total Outdoorsman Manual $8.20

The Foxfire Book: Hog Dressing, Log Cabin Building, Mountain Crafts and Foods, Planting by the Signs, Snake Lore, Hunting Tales, Faith Healing, and Other Affairs of Plain Living $13.56
These originally came out 50 years ago, and are filled with everything you never knew you wanted to know.  We have some of the original printings and they get pulled out almost every time we have people over!  There are 11 books in the series, but this is the first one and a great place to start.

Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy $15.23
When my husband read this one, he stayed up all night, so I’m assuming it was good!
