There is a fun way to get gently used children’s clothing through ThredUp.com.  We’ve tried this a few times and been very pleased with the assortment that comes in each box.  Everything was in great condition and a number of the items were big name brands even.

Today you get a chance to try it out for a huge savings!

Eversave, a daily deal site, is offering a voucher for two boxes of clothes from ThredUp for $16 with FREE shipping.  Make the deal even better with code SAVVY to get an additional $2 off.  This makes it $14 for both boxes which is over a 50% savings.

How ThredUp.com & the deal works:

  1. Grab the deal through Eversave for $14
  2. Get a code immediately after you purchase to use on ThredUp.com
  3. Sort the boxes available by gender, size, brand, season or type of item.  They have baby, toddler, or pre-teen clothing, and toys for all ages.  They are also doing a summer book box swap.
  4. Pick the boxes you want and then wait for the mail to come.  You will owe nothing at checkout since you already paid through Eversave.

Most boxes have 10 items in them so you are basically getting 20 items for 70¢ ea!!

Remember you can also post your own boxes to ThredUp, so this can be a great way to clean out closets and get some new gear for your kids!

    • Kimberlykrn1017

purchased and no the thredup.com website isn’t working, not going to be happy if I can’t redeem this!

    • Christiherringt

On this site (threadup.com) can you see pictures of what you are getting?  I looked through the site some & couldn’t see anything; but figured it might be b/c I’m not signed up yet.

      • Sporksoma

No, you can't see the pictures.

        • Mackenzie Foust

some users include links to photobucket or something similar that has pictures of the items

    • How long is this deal good for?

      • Mojojess3

        it expires 6/30/2012

    • Jamiem

Server crashed on this link, maybe I'll try again later.

    • Julie Driver

I can't get the thredup site to load at all…

    • lainibug

I've used thredup before and this is a great deal. I have had some trouble with their site occasionally, and their support is a bit slow to respond but generally helpful. It's only for new thredup members, but I'd recommend this one!

      • Thank you for letting us know it is only good for newbies. Saves me some time. I've been pleased with ThredUp and would like to participate again if they had a sale for those of us already signed up. :)

        • jennaj81

Agreed! I have only gotten 1 box from them before because all of the deals that come out are for new customers only. It's a bummer for those of us who aren't! They would do alot more business if they would let us participate too!

    • Anyone else having trouble getting the website to show up after you purchase the voucher? I keep having a blank screen to come up.

    • Laurendecker

I just purchased this deal, but when I try to go to the ThredUp site, I get an error message…  I've never been adventurous before…did I mess up?

    • Me either, Julie. Maybe just a server issue, hopefully!

    • Andrea Amos

      Website down :-(

    • Kimberlykrn1017

Website is down for me too, I will be calling someone to get my money back, I don't usually do deals like this on websites, usually only for actual places in my town. Regret that I did it now! Not happy “(

      • Mackenzie Foust

i've used thredup a few times and i've never had any issues with them. i think they are just being flooded with users because every money saving blog on the planet has posted about this deal. add that to the incentive eversave gives you to share the deal and get credit, and there are TONS of people trying to get on the site.
i know that is really frustrating, when sites like this don't prepare for deals like this. :(

    • MonkMama

Relax people. You don't need to get a refund. The server crashed the site because they aren't used to this much traffic. Voucher is good for a year. Chill. Give it a few days.

    • Awesome! I just bought mine and I had $3 left over from signing up before so I got mine for only $11 (after using the $2 off coupon code).

    • Dusty816

It is saying the website is offline :(

    • Swardestep

I just did this and maybe I am just missing it. Where is the code to actually  get the boxes?

      • christi

it's on your voucher underneath the barcode at the top of the page

    • Jennludwig13

Note that if you are new to Eversave you get another $2.00 off, just got the deal for $12 and it's good for another 10 days I think.

      • Cool! Thanks!

    • Kimberlykrn1017

Working now! Placed the order with no issues so far, we will see when they arrive. This will be great if its nice, I would put my stuff on here as well!

    • Britsands

Thank-you for posting! I have been hestitant about taking part in this program but for $12 it is worth a shot!!

    • Swardestep

I am so confused. Can someone please tell me what to do after you purchase? I got my confirmation e-mail, what next?

    • Cmroberts 0304

Help me please, I do not see how this is a deal when the ThredUp site says each box is $5 plus shipping.  Wouldn't that be cheaper then this Eversave deal ?  I am thinking I am missing something.  Any help would be appreciated.

      • Robin

This deal includes shipping which is usually $11 a box

        • Cmroberts 0304

Thank you so much for your reply.  $11 shipping per box for sure makes this a great deal.

      • stacey

Read the pricing..it says the boxes are $5 but shipping is $10.95..so this is a deal..2 boxes for $14..I got mine for $12 since I was a new member..thats $7 a box + free shipping – compared to $15.95 a box

      • Erikashines

I thought that it may be better to purchase directly from THREADUP when i saw boxes were 5 bucks+ shipping. Shipping is $10.95 EACH box. So, essentially $15.95 total per box. The eversave deal is TWO boxes. I gave it a shot, @ 12 bucks, being new to eversave. $6 for a box of clothes my three year old daughter will be great. Thanks Jenny!

      • Jo

Shipping is 10.95/ box. Eversave has free shipping.

    • Amy J.

awesome!  Thanks for sharing this!  I never purchased a voucher through Eversave before altho' I signed up months ago.  I still had a credit, so I got my voucher for $11!  $5.50 per box…..Sweet!   Then since I'm new to Thred up (i already ordered my 2 boxes) i have a $5 credit for next time.  And another $2 credit on Eversave for making a referral / sharing with a friend.  I misunderstood where to use the Savvy code (totally my fault!), so i could have saved another $2…..but I'm still happy with the savings…..should come out to @ 55cents per item.  Thanks again!

    • Swardestep

I finally figured it out. Thanks! Great deal!

    • kristen

This is great! Just found out we were expecting over the weekend! Bought voucher..gonna wait until we know the sex of the baby to buy!

    • this is a great deal, i've used thredup several times and have no complaints.

it must be a popular deal, just tried to sign on and the site is down!  bummer!

    • SarahR

Thanks Jenny!  I have looked at this site and have yet to try it.  With this deal I can try it without too much worry.  The voucher is good for a year!

    • Flitterfly28

Can you only purchase one box at a time? How does that work since the voucher from Eversave is for two boxes?

      • while you check out with the first box enter the voucher code and it gives you that box for free and credits your account for another box.

        • Mackenzie Foust

i've been trying to figure that out for 20 minutes. thanks!

    • WOW thanks :) I got the deal for only $12 since I was a new customer to Eversave they gave me $2 off before the SAVVY code :) WOOT WOOT got some nice bottoms for my 8 yr old for back to school.

    • The site seems to be back up I got my orders through, it did seem a bit slow though.

    • Barbara

Does anyone understand if you list a box and it sells, do you get $5.00 credit or $5.00 cash mailed to you?  Not sure if I want to list or just buy?

      • Sporksoma

    • SarahJoy

Got two for $12 after the $2 for signing up and the promo code. I wasn't going to do it for $16 but for $12 even my hubby can't be upset right? lol

    • Dhscouon

      website died just now

    • Missy

Do i have to be a member at thredup to use this voucher?

      • SarahJoy

You do have to become a member of thredup to use the voucher, as they need your contact information to send the boxes.

You can't have received a box from thredup before, to use this voucher. You have to qualify as a new user.

        • Missy

          oh okay then, thanks :)

        • Mackenzie Foust

i was already a member of thredup and it let me use it

          • SarahJoy

Really? Good! From what I'd read from the person replying to the questions on the eversave site, they said it'll only work if you've never “picked” a box before, so that's all my answer was based on lol

    • flower_mom

      Wow…great deal!  I got 2 boxes for $11 shipped!  :0)

    • Booger red 47

Is the website still down for everyone else?

    • Avalil10

My confirmation order stated that I chose one box @ $15.95 with a promo code discount of $15.95 making my order $0.00. What the heck is going on??? I contacted them via email, but this was a really difficult site to maneuver through. I hope I get an answer soon.

      • SaraJoy

You should still have a credit of an additional 15.95 on your account. Enough for one more box. That's how it worked for me.

        • Avalil10

Thanks Sara! I finally figured it out when picked another box and checked out. There was so much going on in my house at the time that I couldn't concentrate! LOL!  I guess it pays to be patient. Thanks again. :)

    • Ndjimmyd

Have been trying for 5 hrs (since just past 3:00) and still site is not available.

    • Avalil10

Is anybody a member of Thredup? I ordered my boxes, but I would like to continue purchasing from this site from time to time. Just for fun I was browsing and there was a note somewhere on the site that said I am no longer eligible to purchase until I send something. I am holding onto my daughter's clothes as my husband and I will be trying for a second baby in the near future. Just in case we have another girl, I'd like to have those clothes available. Are there any other sites I can go to to purchase gently used clothes??

      • Hshaver

You know, you can list other stuff.  I bought mommy boxes in “other” size categories.  I also bought books for my boy and traded some.  Why don't you list some books?  It's very easy.

    • S Ward348

Having difficulty. I signed up to ThredUp. Bought the code from Eversave. Purchased a box using code at ThredUp. It now says I have a 15.98 credit. I went to pick another box and it refuses to let me.  I email ThredUp asking why I could not get my second box and they said b/c it is a swap site I had to send in a box before I could get my other box….???? I don't see anywhere on this site or Eversave where I am obligated to send in a box to redeem my code thing I just bought.  Has everyone else had to send in a box or did you just get to pick 2 boxes and have them shipped to you?
If it is the former, where is the fine print saying so, because I honestly feel bamboozled and could have spent my $14 in a better place.
I had really hoped this would be a good way to get to know the site so I could essentially trade outgrown kids clothes for bigger sizes….

      • erin123

I used my coupon from Eversave last night around 9pm and was able to get two boxes without sending any.  Typically you have to give a box to get a box.  That's how the site works.  I agree with you though, it doesn't say that on the coupon.  Having used the site before, I was surprised that it let me get two boxes with the coupon without having to post one.

    • Candice

I've used Thred Up several times before and stopped because their rating system seems unfair with no way to make sure someone doesn't ruin your rating….  anyway, $7 for a box seems like a good deal but this is only for people new to Thred Up or to eversave?  Or do you only have to be new to eversave to get the additional $2 off?

    • Mojojess3

Is the site still down? I am having trouble with it loading,

    • candy

It says that the code expired. Am I doing something wrong?

    • Leigh

My code is saying whoops the code you entered is invalid!!! Anyone else seeing this.

    • Rudydoescakes

SHARE will give you another $3 off!!!

    • PamperedKate

If you share the link to your hubby and have him buy it, you get $10 as a credit for sharing the deal, so net OOP would be just $1!

    • Meadokb

JUST DISCOVERED EVEN BETTER SAVINGS PROMO CODE!  If you enter SAVE you get a $5 as well as if the $2 off as a new customer making it $9 total for 2 boxes!  Sweet!

    • KC

DId this last night and clicked that they could send me e-mails and got antoher $2 off so I was charged $12. One of the boxes was 15 books & the lady had a picture of them too! nice!! Not bad for the price at all  – but I see others got even better deals!

    • Sarah Glanovsky

I did this earlier and used the code SAVE and paid 8.00 for 2 boxes! Already completed my order , now im going to put together some of my own boxes. This is going to save me lots of money with my growing 9 year old boy!!
