“Thanks for Asking about Autofill” a new booklet at CVS!

It contains the following store coupons:

(2) $4 off $20 purchase
$4 off $20 Diet or Nutrition products
$4 off $20 Facial Skin products
$2 off $10 Vitamin purchase
$2 off $10 Allergy products
$2 off $10 Oral Care products
$3 off $12 Eye Care products

These are supposed to be given out by the pharmacist starting August 1st to anyone that asks about the autofill program. You don’t have to sign up for the program, just ask about it. Some are reporting that their stores have already put out the booklets around the pharmacy and no asking is required.

I went to my local CVS yesterday. They had some small info on the “Ask about Autofill”. They said come back on 8/1 as it would be worth my while. He said they have a coupon book then, they have not received it yet.

I went to 4 stores yesterday. One said they were out (but I think they really just didn’t know what I was talking about. Two didn’t know what I was talking about and one had a stack of them sitting on the counter at the pharmacy. It really depends on the store I think. Also, the coupons aren’t really supposed to be available until Aug 1 so that probably has something to do with it.

Another note… The coupons are good from 08-02 to 09-12.

Not sure where to post this great coupon:
Aveeno.com currently has $2.00 off any Aveeno Product if you fill out the questionaire (bottom right on Homepage) I was able to print out 2 but had to temporarily turn off my pop-up blocker. Great to have when those Aveeno deals w/ECB’s come out, especially if you/your child has sensitive skin! Maybe combine with one of those nice $4/20 coupons? Hope this helps someone.

Tonie – Call the CVS customer svc. line – they will need your Extra care # & will ask for information from your receipt. They verify the purchase immediately & credit you the missing ECBs – which you can either print off from the in-store coupon machine or at the register.

I noticed Mitch said he would have an employee of CVS “grab a bunch” of the coupon booklets for him. Somehow that doesn’t seem right. Why not go get yourself “ONE” and not a bunch? Also, all of these lists of deals at CVS are great but I don’t think you should be able to get 2 of the free items each week. Why not one so somebody else can take advantage of the deal. I only buy one. Too many greedy people looking out for themselves I think. Okay I’m finished venting for now. I hope everyone can think about others instead of just themselves when it comes to all the deals each week.

I agree with Janet that people shouldn’t grab a stack. With the “free after ECB” items, though, no one is breaking the rules by getting 2. CVS sets the limit at 2 because they want people to be able to get that many. I’ve found it easy to get rainchecks at CVS if other people have gotten to the deals before I do. And many people ARE thinking of others when they get the free items – I can’t count the number of people who have posted that they are filling backpacks and donating school supplies to others, and the free items are a huge help. So to those that fully take advantage of the ECB deals, don’t feel bad, and keep up the bargain-shopping!

I only have one daughter, and she’s just 10 months old, so I don’t NEED school supplies, but growing up as a teacher’s daughter, I can’t tell you how many times we went shopping for my school supplies and also shopped for 3 or 4 students that were in my Mom’s class that couldn’t afford their supplies. After seeing how much money teachers dump back into their students and classrooms, I ALWAYS give to the “fill the schoolbus” drives and any other school supply drives. Getting those items for free or pennies only makes it so that I am able to give more. So, like Adriane said, some of us ARE thinking of others…and also like she said, GET A RAIN CHECK!

My CVS had the coupon booklets and I asked about the ReadyFill program, but then the pharmicist said I couldn’t have the coupon booklet unless I signed up for the ReadyFill program. I guess she decided to make up her own rules. I left disappointed.

I don’t even want a coupon book myself and didn’t bother to see if my CVS had them. I was only commenting on what I read on this site and wondering why Mitch would want to get an employee to grab a stack instead of getting one for himself in person. In addition I am well aware that many people get the extra free items and give them to a school supplies program or someone they know in need and I actually would and have done the same. I don’t know why some people get so angry in their comments. They are just comments and not meant as anything other than that.

i work at CVS…. the Parmacy willrecieved the booklets not front-store and they should be placing the booklets on the stand infront of the “consultation” desk…. the front store also has a beauty booklet wit coupons inside; my store has already put the beauty coupons at the registers….

At one of my CVS they had a stand and you could get as many as you wanted. I am so excited about these coupons.

Janet – I do couponing with my mom, one of her best friends, as well as one of my co-workers. Whenever any of us find something, we grab ‘a bunch’ so that we can each get one or two. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that as we all look out for one another ;-)

Janet, the reason people may get angry at comments is when comments are rude for no reason. You had absolutely no idea my reasoning for grabbing more than one leaflet (which, btw, they don’t even have yet) so you shouldn’t be commenting on it like it is some crime and like I am some selfish person. Many of the items I get through rolling bucks at CVS I give away – my entire purchase last Sunday was given to my 10 year-old brother so my parents wouldn’t have to waste their time going out and buying school supplies.

I stopped by today to see if they were in. They had no idea what I was talking about, but asked around until someone found them. (About 10 minutes later.) They then wouldn’t give one to me because they said I had to sign up for Readyfill.
I’ll try at another CVS tomorrow…I made my weekend shopping plan based on getting the two $4 off coupons. I hope I’m still able to do that.

I attempted to get the “Thanks for Asking about Autofill” booklet at my local CVS (Texas) and was told I had enroll in the program to receive the coupons. As I do not have any prescription on file with CVS, I left empty-handed.

I did learn of the $9.99 program for 90 days of medication program. We may transfer a few meds to get both the $9.99 deal and the coupon book.

OMG, I went to FIVE stores yesterday (while running errands) trying to get one of these booklets! I’m too much of a chicken to come right out and ask for one, so I “inquired” about prescription prices, then asked if they could tell me about their ready-fill program. All five techs told me ALL about it, then didn’t give up the goods! I finally called my ob and had them call in some prenatal vitamins for me and when I checked out, I said, “hey, I hear your have some coupons back there” and they handed one over with no problems! What a pain.

My CVS took all my info and did not give me Booklet. Is anyone else getting a little upset with this whole coupon thing… I mean it’s like no one wants us to get the coupons… Well I hate when they judge me… There has been a few people taking the coupons out of the papers. It makes me angry cmon we are already going to get the money back from the coupons. JUST pay for the darn paper. ARGHH. sorry a little frustrated here.

Ours doesn’t even know what we’re talking about when we’ve asked about them. We have asked twice now and they have NO IDEA what we are referring to. I’ve already emailed head quarters about on issue with the store not having a card scanner in it and thinking about emailing them to ask about this. Also didn’t get the 4/20.00 coupon in my email when I registered my card on the CVS site. Emailed them and asked about that and she said it could be 4 weeks. It’s been like 3 so far. IF it wasn’t for my manufactor sp? coupons I wouldn’t have anything to work with except for the EBC’S. I’m thinking ours is just slow or something.

Kristen, I had a hard time asking for things (like coupons and separate purchases, etc.) at first. When it hit home to me that the coupons and deals are there for us, the customers I stopped feeling so tentative. The companies WANT you to use them and you aren’t hurting them at all. I hope you have the opportunity to go to one of Jenny’s seminars. She really has a lot of good advice on that kind of thinking. Happy Frugaling!

I live in Austell, GA and I haven’t had a problem getting the coupon books at all. In fact, I stopped at 4 different CVS stores on my way home from work and asked for the coupon book in the pharmacy – Two locations gave me TWO books!

It states right in the ad that they are supposed to give you the coupons “JUST FOR ASKING ABOUT THE READY FILL PROGRAM” … I suggest you have the sale paper in your hand, opened to that page (as I did) when you ask for them. Maybe you guys will have better luck that way.
