amazon surcharge

We might be paying more for Prime products on Amazon soon.

Amazon announced Wednesday that starting 4/28, they will add a 5% fuel and inflation surcharge for all U.S. online sellers offering Prime shipping.

While this isn’t an extra charge on individual purchases, most likely it will lead to online sellers raising prices.

Amazon sellers that don’t use “Fulfilled by Amazon” will not be subjected to the surcharge.

This is the first time in company history Amazon has imposed a surcharge.
