As I had expected this week was an off week for shopping.  We are very stocked on pretty much everything we need after a few weeks of very focused shopping, so it was nice to just stay home.  Instead of shopping, I spent my time cooking!  If you missed the video earlier today, we put up 26 meals into the freezer.  Sitting here tonight it makes me feel so much more prepared for what the week ahead holds for us.

Next week is surgery week, so I have a feeling my grocery budget will be rocked with hospital cafeteria food as we hang out of town for a chunk of the week.  I do plan on packing some snacks, but odds are food isn’t going to be at the top of my mind either.

One thing on my list before we leave is to hit the CVS diaper deal.  So I will have some savings to report back on at least!  This will make for our 38th pack of diapers ready and waiting for baby Ada when she arrives in 4.5 weeks.  Food ready in a freezer and diapers stacked high in the closet… it’s the important things in life right now!
