You may have seen a bagged baking mix that advertises cookie brownie bars. I’ve tried it, and they’re OK, but making your own is even easier. You can duplicate that idea on the most basic level with boxed brownie mix and bagged cookie mix. For these cookie brownie bars, I split the difference based on what I had in my pantry!
Cookie Brownie Bars
These bars are basically a layer of brownies with cookie dough pressed in. They are a great combination of flavors and only take a few minutes to put together!
I didn’t have any brownie mix, so I made cake mix brownies. All you need is a box of any flavor cake mix, 2 eggs, and 1/3 cup vegetable oil to turn it into brownies.
Mix it together (and add chocolate chips if you want extra chocolate).
Spread the brownie mixture on the bottom of a greased 9×13 pan.
Then move into the cookie dough. You’ll cream together butter and sugar, add an egg and vanilla, and then add the dry ingredients.
