Pack Lunches
My family recently went to Colonial Williamsburg for a couple of days. It was an amazing trip and everyone loved it. The one thing we didn’t love was the price of lunch. You must book restaurants well in advance so we grabbed an overpriced lunch from a grab and go type place. We learned our lesson. The rest of the trip, we took lunch in and had a picnic.
If you think you kids may be disappointed by not getting to eat in the park, grab a snack at the park or pack something extra fun in the lunches. They may be the perfect opportunity for everyone to get a Lunchable.
Whenever you are visiting a destination, pack everyone a lunch if you can. If the location doesn’t allow food to be brought in, leave to get lunch and then return.
The More the Merrier (or at least cheaper…)
Find a house you love but it’s too much for you to afford? Invite another family to come along and split the house with you. Booking a six bedroom house will be cheaper per room than a smaller place.
More adults around also means you can trade off on babysitting, cooking, and cleaning.

If you’ve got credit card debt or other debts with high interest rates, you should definitely consider using your refund and stimulus checks to pay off any bad debt. High interest debt compounds quickly and only adds to bills and obligations.
Tip: If you’ve recently lost your job try to negotiate a lower interest rate from creditors before paying off the debt at higher interest rates.
