Start with Nature
Start with nature and you can get the cutest, mostly FREE holiday decor! Some of the best (and most expensive looking) stuff comes straight from nature.
- Evergreen branches and pinecones: Gather a few from your yard or a nearby park, grab a glue gun and there are tons of ways to make adorable decor!
- Dried citrus garlands: Slice oranges or lemons, bake them at a low temp until dried, then string them with twine. The look is timeless, the smell is incredible and it’s a great way to make memories with older kids.
- Cinnamon sticks or twigs: Make ornaments for the tree, wreaths, table centerpieces and more.
- Bonus tip: grocery stores and tree lots often sell fresh greenery bundles for under $10. These are perfect for making wreaths, swags or table arrangements.
