Before your brain clocks out for the year, here’s one big important financial reminder: Don’t lose any money in your Flexible Spending Accounts!

You must use FSA cash by 12/31 or it will all be forfeited. I know it may seem silly to have a random shopping spree, but it’s way better than just wasting money.

This year has been a bit of whirlwind for us, and looking back at almost 18 years of Merry Christmas posts on Southern Savers I’m a tad bit nostalgic for the little girls that were in our yearly pictures… Folk are growing up and I’m realizing more and more how blessed we have been (and are).

For all the moms barely holding it together: everyone is very right, it goes by too quickly. So hug your littles tight, play the family games, take the silly pictures, and try to enjoy them. Laundry can wait, leftovers are great dinner option, and turns out kids are more healthy if the house is a little messier!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas filled with joy and peace. Here’s to a great 2026!!
