I called a bunch of Publix stores and was told they are discontinuing the Penny Item! They told me cutting the program means more value will be poured into their weekly ad sales. So at least there’s good news to go with the bad.
I’ll call around and make sure the Penny Item is actually being discontinued. Let me know what your store says in the comments.
