Christmas is a week away. You’re probably getting your presents in order, wrapping boxes, and tidying your house for guests that will arrive soon. If you are also may wondering what you’ll serve for Christmas dinner, here is a list that can help you out.
These recipes are pretty hearty, traditional, and universally loved. You could prep some of these things in advance to save time on Christmas day or you could split the list up and ask family members to bring their own contributions.
Note: The prices listed are based on an average price of what’s on sale this week at various stores and are subject to change weekly.
Last Minute Christmas Dinner Recipes
Honey-Mustard Glazed Ham | recipe
Find ham on sale all over town this week (see all the ham deals). It’s the best price we’ll see it until Easter, so go ahead and get an extra for the freezer!
Old-Fashioned Scalloped Potatoes | recipe
A favorite easy recipe, this will take 20 minutes to bake and 5 minutes to devour. I actually double the recipe every time because our kids fight for leftovers!
Easy Sauteed Green Beans | recipe
Fresh green beans are totally worth the little bit extra! If you prefer a casserole try our gluten-free green bean casserole.
Creamy Macaroni & Cheese | recipe
Probably the cheapest side dish for a couponer to make… this is honestly one of my favorite dishes during the holidays. Want a secret ingredient? Add a little bit of mustard, it makes it amazing!
Pecan Pie | recipe
We’ve got all the ingredients for homemade pies on sale right now. Pecans aren’t super cheap, but you will find them BOGO at a few stores. If you get a 1 pound bag of pecans that is enough to make 2 pies!
What’s your favorite Christmas dinner recipe? Let us know in the comments!
