There is a new go-to place for ordering flowers that I am in love with. First off, if you’ve ever ordered flowers online you know that the price they tell you at first is never the price you end up paying. They say the roses are $19.99 but that doesn’t include shipping or the vase they are pictured in, it’s also a wonder they don’t charge by the word on the card.
Enter TheBouqs, started by a guy who got fed up one day trying to order flowers for his mother-in-law. Their goal is fresh flowers straight to you from the grower, that are one straight forward price with no hidden charges or cheesy up-sells.
All of their bouquets are $40. That is it – no tax, no shipping.
I ordered my own roses to test them out a few weeks ago. Since these are being cut at the farm when you order and then shipped they don’t allow for deliveries in the same week. I set a delivery of about 10 days out, and the flowers arrived right when expected. They were also exactly what I expected and matched the picture perfectly.
To give you an example from an un-named top online flower site, I found similar roses and selected one dozen with no vase. They started at $49.99, then they had a shipping charge of $19.99. In the end the flowers were going to cost $70.
