Inside every day, there’s a special moment to celebrate. To help make those special moments even sweeter, Pillsbury is offering a giveaway for all of you to help make more special moments.  Pillsbury is a great brand to use for all of your baking needs.  This holiday season, you can use Pillsbury products for every meal from breakfast to dessert after dinner!

Want a chance to win a $10,000 family vacation to Celebration, FL?

From now through Wednesday, November 30, 2011, fans of Pillsbury baking mixes, frostings and flours can visit the Pillsbury Baking site to enter the Pillsbury People Celebrate More Photo Contest. Submit a photo capturing an everyday family celebration, plus a brief description (140 words or less) describing the moment and how the family experience made you feel. If you’re one of the ten finalist, your photo and caption will be chosen and posted on their site for a nationwide online vote to help decide the winner beginning in January 2012. The winner will also be invited to the ultimate hometown celebration for the Pillsbury Doughboy’s birthday this spring.

I think if I were to take a picture it would be in the evenings when we turn on the radio and have “pajama dance parties”.  It is one moment in my day that I look forward to, it’s also one moment that I know won’t last forever as my girls grow up.

The Giveaway:

The ‘Pillsbury People Celebration’ kit includes:

Sunday morning breakfast! Our 3 year old daughter gets the job of setting out all the frozen pillsbury biscuits before we put them in the oven. It’s always fun to see how she will arrange them next.

We have 4 kids ages ranging from 4-15 so it’s difficult to find activities that they all enjoy! On Sunday we all pick one family movie and make 2 different kinds of cookies for the bunch and we start a fire and enjoy a cozy evening! This is the one day of the week that no matter where all the schedules take us we can come together and enjoy as a family!

    • Corleye1

The hugs and kisses from my one year old are definitely moments that require celebrations!

My daughter & I did  a bake sale to help her raise enough money for her own laptop computer. We paired up with the local Wild Turkey Federation Banquet & with their help she raised $258.34 with her Pillsbury goods, not including her orders for more cakes in the days to come.
      Thanks Pillsbury

My 12 year old recently started attending our State School for the Blind and its a residential school, so our weekends are extra special now. Every weekend she comes home, we make tons of goodies together. Sugar cookies and brownies are her favorite. Oh and we can not forget the delicious cinnamon rolls in the morning! Its absolutely wonderful to spend this time with my daughter!

    • Sassymomma22boys

Our radio dance jam sessions in the car! We sing as loud as we can and boogie! Everyone has their own dance move, aka I say everybody do “The Mommy”, and we all wave one hand in the air because Mommy has to drive with the other hand. :-) So much fun!

    • Kristina Dominy

The everyday moment in our home is in the morning when my little guy (four months old) is just waking up. He smiles and coos and we are all sitting on the bed in our pajamas making silly faces at him. It’s such a joy :)

    • Jenny Lambeth

    • theels4

My goddaughter loves to bake any and everything, and always seems to con me in to it at every visit. She does this thing where she turns her head away from me to lick the  batter off of the spoon, like I can’t see what she’s doing. Then when she turns around, it’s all over her face! SO cute!

    • Kendra

      Baking with my daughter.

    • Sillysuuee

I love to bake a treat to reward the kids with when they do something special or are good that day.  :-)

    • Eleana

The moment my husband gets home from work!

    • Laura Buysse84

Bedtime, we start with snack then clean up then head upstairs where our son (2 years 3 months) races up and jumps in our bed and “hides” under the covers. He sits really still and just giggles, until we find him. We then all three snuggle and play in the bed for a bit. Next we do the rest of our routine, bathroom, brush teeth, bedroom. We read every night, then prayers, and end with a family hug – which our son started! These are the moments I will always remember! What better way to start then with a cookie for a bedtime snack?

    • Hentwee

All three of my children love to help me in the kitchen and now that my older son is able to read the recipes it really makes it interesting to hear him pronounce some of the ingredients and even more interesting to see him try to follow them. Great memories all around.

    • Babette

My son and family live in another state and their visits are few and far between.  Pillsbury Brownies are always their special treat made only by Nana. This Thanksgiving, I microwaved half a container of Pillsbury chocolate cake icing and poured it over the brownies while hot!!!  They were incredible. My grandkids and daughter in law always look forward to my special treat of ” Nana’s Brownies!”

    • Mrumanmom

My kids love to help me bake, and we do it often! We don’t need a reason to celebrate, baking alone is a special moment we share.

    • I’d love to win! Pillsbury has great products.

I think the moments I would celebrate would be weekends with my husband because that’s really the only time I get to see him, since he works and goes to college. I’d use the mixes then, and I’d probably also use them to bake goodies for my coworkers. We like to have something tasty to make our long meetings a little happier!

      Amy Lauren

    • Lauryann

We celebrate our kids, grand kids and parents birthdays with Pillsbury cakes.

    • Calmond5

My special moments are when my 16 year old who has learning disabilities but loves to cook, takes the time to cook Pillsbury brownies for her 3 and 4 year old Wednesday night class at church where she enjoys helping the teacher. The children look forward to her snacks each week and it brings her and her mom so much joy.

    • Ciji

An everyday moment to celebrate with Pillsbury is when “Dada” comes home from work! Our 3 year old gets sooo excited when he knows that “Dada” is home! I get excited too beacuse my husband installs solar panels on peoples roofs. Some the stories he tells me would make anyone scared. So everyday after work is a moment to Celebrate with some Pillsbury Chocolate Chip Cookies!!

    • heather

I love celebrating Saturday and Sunday mornings with baked goodies b/c that’s when my family gets to spend extra time together. :)

    • Cellojoy

My girls are grown with husbands and families of their own, but now I can enjoy special moments with my granddaughters! Just recently my 18 year old called and asked to spend the night with Nana. While she was here we did some advanced baking for Thanksgiving Day. There is nothing like working in the kitchen together to open up a conversation. I had a unique opportunity to listen to an amazing young woman’s fears and dreams and maybe even share a little bit of wisdom. A celebration indeed!

    • Amy

Baking cookies.. and better yet, watching my one year old daughters face light up when she gets one!

My favorite everyday celebration is morning play time with my boys – we wear our pajamas most days after dad goes to work.  I know I only have a few more years of this before they start school (they are 2 and 4 months).

    • dbfanmimi

There is a lot of cooking done in this house. I use a lot of Pillsbury baking products and a lot of Pillsbury coupons when grocery shopping. I have 6 small grandsons and we love to make COOKIES.  Making cookies with the boys is my favorite time because it makes them feel important and it is my time with them. The two older boys like to help me with any kind of cooking and we really enjoy it. The holidays are coming and we will start baking soon. This year they are a little older and we should have a lot more fun. Wish us luck with our Christmas baking!

    • Ncalicleve

Every night when it’s time to brush their teeth, my kids hyperventilate and yell, “Wait!  We didn’t have a snack!”  They run into the kitchen and look for sweets or anything quick and delicious.  I could dub this tactic “The Pillsbury Stall.”  :)

I love how excited my three year old little girl gets when we bake together.  She wants to help mix everything, and even thinks she can crack the eggs…someday. I also love how while it’s baking in the oven, she goes over to her play kitchen and then makes the same thing for me.  We pretend to eat her goodies with tea until the timer goes off and we jump up to see if what we’ve made together is ready.

    • Vdfmama

I always bake cakes for my kids bdays. Also for my Mom and brothers birthdays to keep their memories alive in my family even though they have passed!

    • Couponbecky

I don’t know what I would do without Pillsbury baked goods in my kitchen.  I am a good baker but I can never seem to bake things like rolls from scratch and have them taste good.  Years ago I used to believe in baking everything from scratch.  I realized that there was no point in spending so much time trying to make something from scratch when it will not likely be better than the Doughboy’s products.  I realized that I could still have homemade taste and the fresh baked smell without all the work.  Since I work full time, I try to cherish every minute I have with my family.  I also love to sneak unbaked place and bake cookies and eat them raw when I’ve had a really tough day. They are such an easy treat for just me! J

    • Tiffleeann

Cooking with my daughter as she sneaks her fingers in the bowl to take a taste as I turn my back.

Pizza..I make homemade pizza using Pillsbury crust..my son rolls the dough out and  and tries his best to toss it up and catch it..I always buy extra because he has been known to “miss” a few..lol..watching him learn to to actually bake is something he and I will always cherish..BTW..we mostly only get to have cheese pizza because he sneaks and eats the toppings before I can get them put on..then we sit and just chat about his school day while it bakes..he would love to win this..just the frosting alone would make him very happy!..Thank Jenny!

    • JenMarie Taylor

I would celebrate the end of the day…when DH and I are home from work and can relax!

    • Staceyhamrick2000

We celebrate everything in my house, with 3 boys I’ve learned what may seem an everyday sucess to one is a huge success to another. When Jack (5) my youngest didn’t wet the bed for a week we made a cake, to him it was “the best thing ever.” Cameron (12) made the wrestling team and “Mom this is the best day ever” and we baked brownies. To Evan (7) everyday is a celebration no matter what happens he makes the best of it. Thanks for your question it really made me reflect and realize how we celebrate everyday without thinking to hard about it. This has really made me look hard at how to celebrate the upcoming holidays without stressing the small stuff. THANK YOU.

I live 3 hours away from my immediate family so anytime I make the drive hoem it becomes a celebration.  This is just as true of a random weekend in August as Christmas.

    • Jessi Grannis

Definitely celebrate my brother’s homecoming, He is in the Navy and has been deployed since June 23 on the USS Texas which is a submarine. Communication with him is very scarce and it would be great to be able to make some goodies and have some family time again once he is back on land. Would be great to see him and spend some time with him without trying to catch an email from him.

We cook dinner and always bake a dessert, Pillsbury Strawberry cupcakes are our favorite, with Cream Cheese icing, of course! “Family” dinner night is a wonderful time for us to discuss our day, for some to learn to bake, and a home away from home.

My 5 and 8 year old still find everything out of the ordinary “awesome”. We made brownies this weekend and had them with ice cream and sprinkles. You would have thought they won the lottery. We had hot cocoa and brownies (from the same batch) after school yesterday and they asked me what they had done to deserve such a wonderful snack. Its the small things that make lasting memories.
