Free Magazines From Recyclebank

You all know about the awesome coupons you can get with Recyclebank, but looking through their rewards there are other fun prizes too.

All of their magazine subscriptions are 115 points, which you can easily earn right now in the Green Your School Year challenge!

Normally my rule of thumb is to pay no more than $5 for a year or $10 for a really premium magazine subscription.  Free is always better though!

115 Point Magazines

Better Homes & Gardens
Everyday Food
Good Housekeeping
Marie Claire
Popular Mechanics
Town & Country
Whole Living
Martha Stewart Weddings
Martha Stewart Living

If you are new to Recyclebank, it’s a program where you earn points by completing games and tasks and then redeem the points for coupons – or in this case FREE magazines!

    • Samantha

I was able to get three subscriptions with the points I had. Woo HOO!! Thankyou so much for all you do Jenny. You are AWESOME!!!!!!!!

    • Peaceout0511

if it says online reward will it actually send you the magazine?

      • Bamasaver

I think that means that the reward is redeemed online, you don’t have to wait for something to be sent through the mail in order to redeem the offer.  Once you go through the steps of redeeming that reward online, you should receive your first copy w/in several weeks.

I use My Coke Rewards for free magazine subscriptions too.

    • Mom4coupons

Just got 2 mags. THANK YOU!

Thanks Jenny, I’m thrilled with the Everyday Food subscription – I saw a copy once and it’s small in size, but packed with really great recipes.

I really like it too. Had let it lapse, though because since following Southern Savers I’m so cheap/spoiled, I can’t bring myself to pay more than a few dollars for subscriptions. ;) Will be glad to have this one coming again. Thanks Jenny!!

I had tried a subscription (paying “real” money) to Martha Stewart Living which really looked good in the flyer I got in the mail. After ordering I saw reviews that it was packed with ads and was so disappointed with my first issue that I cancelled it. Whole Living had some good reviews so I’m trying that one. I can’t remember if I like Better Homes & Gardens or Good Housekeeping better. Can you shed any light on either of those? Thanks!

I had a subscription to Better Homes & Gardens that I had gotten for free through a purchase at Walmart (Their Better Homes & Garden liine all comes with either a reduced price subscription or a free one). I really liked that magazine. I’m currently subscribing to Good Housekeeping, and I”m not liking it as much.

Thanks for your reply. Since I sort of “garden”, BH & G might have something that could help my pitiful efforts, so I’ll go with that!! :)

I don’t know about which one contains more or better coupons, but I feel your pain or ordering a magazine that you end up hating. I thought I would LOVE Real Simple magazine after perusing a couple of issues at a doctor’s office a while back. It had some of the most helpful hints for cleaning and decorating, and I saw some neat articles. Once I ordered a subscription, I hated it. It was full of ads for things I could never realistically afford. The furniture and gadgets on their “To Buy” pages were all expensive (such as unique lamps that started around $180). There are occasional articles with good cleaning tips, etc…but all the regular articles are snoozeville. Very boring magazine (IMO), geared more toward yuppies who can afford the finer things in life and who would probably scoff at ever clipping a coupon to save .50 cents! LOL
(However, I do LOVE their website where you can go straight to the cleaning tips and the “how to’s”. They had one on there about how to load a dishwasher properly that I sent to my husband ;-)

              Thanks, I’ll check that out!!

    • Bamasaver

Thanks, Jenny!  Just completed the Green Your School Year earnings & then got two magazine subscriptions & a Kashi coupon w/ my available points.

    • Mccoarts

If it says online order you have to go into your account and fill out a form and enter a code or I don’t think you will get your magazine if it says mailed it will just be sent to you!!

    • SarahR

Thanks Jenny!  I just got my teen daughter a copy of “Seventeen”.  They give you code and a link to order your magazine.

      • Shon

How long after your order before receiving the code?

        • Anonymous

I got mine as soon as I hit the order button, it comes up on the next screen.

    • Freemn4

Thanks Jenny!  I did the “Green Your School Year earnings”  and got a free magazine subscription with the points.

    • Kcreviews

I’m still bummed that the HT $10/$50 coupon has vanished off the Recyclebank site. :(

      • Ctrinkle

I ordered one yesterday.  Make sure you put in your local zip code.

        • Taraandbrian

What zip code are you putting in. I am entering mine with no such luck. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks

    • Thank you so much! Can someone help me understand why this is only 115 points and a $1 off coke coupon is 125 points? That’s not very consistent.

      • Anonymous

Noticed that too.. I think it’s a delicate balance for mags. They earn their money through subscriptions/news stands AND advertising. The bigger the circulation they can boast, the bigger advertising dollars they can demand. So, maybe it’s a win-win. ?

      • Kami

I agree…I have used recycle bank before, but did not even notice these great magazine deals before reading this post!!!

    • katie

this is how i get my magazines! i love these deals… thanks for posting :)

    • Leannewill

LOVE it! I have wanted Better Homes for a while…. YEAH!!!!! :-)

    • Anonymous

Martha Stewart living is 230 points and Martha Stewart Wedding is 180. I have 145 points… Can’t decide if I should hold out and hope that these rewards don’t go away, or get a different magazine, and get more points soon and try for one of theses again…

    • Blhale1964

Which magazines have the best coupons?

    • Jeannie

Thanks!  I got a free subscription to Everyday Food.

    • DianaY19

Has anyone done this before through recyclebank.  I was thinking of sending a subscription as part of a gift..is that possible to send to another address?  Will it say recycle bank on it?

      • Jen

I just did this and sent it as a gift to someone.

    • Vickitucker28
