Mark your calendar for the Whole Foods one day sale on Friday, January 11th. They will have ground beef for $3.49 lb. Their regular price is $5.99 per pound, so this is a big discount.

What recipe will you make with your ground beef?

Is this their grass-fed ground beef?

      • Sarah

I asked them and they said their beef is 80% grass fed and then grain fed for the last 20% to get them to fatten up a bit. You have to buy the one labeled grass fed to make sure you get the one that has been only grass fed. I did stock up on six pounds when the grass fed went on sale but now I have to pay the regular price again :(

I was wondering if their ground beef was grass fed as well; does anyone know exactly what Whole Foods means when they say their ground beef is organic?? I think it’s still a great deal and I’m going to go for it, but I’m just curious as I’m new to all things organic, thanks! :)

This sale is for grass fed ground beef only. All the feed to the cow is organic when the beef is organic at Whole Foods.

The grass fed sale was a couple of months ago and it was $5 a lb, normally 7.99.
