Bi-Lo Weekly Ad 5/27-6/2

Jenny View Comments Comments

Here are the deals that start today 5/27 at Bi-Lo.  They are having a Crazy 8 sale which normally means a slow week.  There are some good finds, not a huge list though.  Thanks to Leroy (a rare frugal guy around here) for help with the deals!

If you see anything we missed let me know and I’ll add it to the list.

Remember:
1. Most Bi-Lo store double coupons that are .60¢ or less
2. You can “stack” a store coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon
3. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items to get the sale price
4. If you do buy two B1G1 items use 2 coupons if you have them

  • JEB
Thanks Jenny. I have never had a problem getting things pricematched with the ad as long as it gives a price and not a percentage off.
  • JEB
Question…I have a Bilo catalina for Hot Pockets, that says Manufacturer Coupon. Can I take that to Walmart and get them to pricematch Krogers’ sale on Hot Pockets AND use that Q? Or will Kroger honor that Q? Thanks!
  • Jenny
    Jeb,

The answer to your question is yes and no. Yes you can use the coupon at Wal-Mart or Kroger. Wal-Mart probably won't match the Kroger price. They usually will say that they can't price match any deal that requires a store loyalty card to get. So they takes out ads for Kroger, Bi-Lo etc. However, if your store is better with price matching and doesn't pull that excuse then yes you can do both.

I would just head to Kroger with the Bi-Lo catalina though.

    Jana,

It says 5/3 SS was the Soleil Q.
  • JEB
    Jana,
Check www.couponmom.com coupon database for your region. You have to register and sign in--maybe it seems like twice to search the database. It will tell you where to find.
  • Angela
Jana - Yes, there was, and I have it.... can't remember which insert, but I came across it today when sorting for a Publix run. :)
  • Jana
Wasn't there a coupon for the Soleil razors, Buy one razor get the cartridges free? Can anyone tell me the date of that coupon?
  • Angela
ooooh! There is $1 off one item Eskimo Pie Q in this Sunday's paper here in Columbia. Makes the ice cream bars $1.50 a box.
Back to my neighborhood Bi-Lo tomorrow....
  • Did the pilsbury cake mix...some were marked down to .75cents so a nickel instead of .18cents..not a BIG baker though, so just sometihng for the kids to play in this summer if they want to make a cake...oh wait they can make a HUGE HUGE HUGE cake for hubby for Father's DAY...yeah that's the ticket...The reduced sugar should go well with his GYM workout!! LOL
  • JEB
Oh, and my Holmes vegetable Q did get doubled.
  • JEB
Just got back from Bilo. Let's see...Found some surprises. M and M Medium size bags are BOGO, so $1.79 total. Marzetti croutons are $1, so if you have the printable for them, they will be free after doubling. Darn, I already used mine at Publix after their sale ended, so I paid .59 for them at Publix. Baby cut carrot bags were on sale for $1.50. Could not find the Hot Pockets paninis anywhere. The manager was clueless...he just bagged my groceries and went away..The cashier grabbed my coupons and scanned them before I could take out the panini coupon and she said it went thru on the regular Hot pockets...I had to get a rain check on the Soleil razors. This is the first time they did not ask me for my Bonus Card first, so I got to see the total go down and they did coupons first. I ended up getting my Mars candy bars on sale with the BOGO coupon for free. They deducted the full price, not the sale price.

at my bilo and ingles there are q's for the easymac .55 off when you buy 2 on the isle with the easymac .with the doubing at bilo thats a good deal.

I attended the workshop in Lexington. I was also amazed by Jenny's brilliance! I recently left a part time job and we are having to tighten up our belts. I was spending between 74 and 125 a week for three and the cupboards were literally bare by the end of the week. I just came home from Bilo, I spent 94.01 for 181.21 worth. I don't think I will have to look at the back of the cabinets this week!!!!!!
    Yeah Jenny!!!!
  • joney
So, can I use coupons that have expired??
  • Maehing O
Travise, can you explain your razor deal please! Just to let everyone know I went to Jenny's Coupon workshop last night in Summerville and I was amazed at her plethra of KNOWLEDGE! I do consider myself to be a good couponer, and I learned from the best last night! :) That's why she does what she does, and a HUGE THANKS Jenny for all you do again! A pleasure meeting you! Thank you, thank you!

For everyone else, if you get a chance to see Jenny in action... take advantage of it! She is awesome!

About the EZmac - I think that $.88 with the $1 off 2 or buy one get one Q's makes it a good price. My kids love that stuff!
I'll pay $.44 each for some carbs and chemicals that hold them over til dinner!
Especially if I'm already going to Bi-Lo for BBQ, Vitamin Water, Hot Pockets and jello!
    :)
  • AngelathecouponNERD
Ooooh! I have some Lloyd's BBQ $.75 off Q's left from a few weeks ago. I love that stuff!
And, there were some Jello pudding Q's printing recently as well.
    I'm goin' to Bi-Lo tomorrow!
  • Michelle
My Bi-Lo is still running the .99 pepsi product 2 liter special, and they have the stick-on Qs that are buy two 2-liters and get 1 free, so it turns out being 3/1.98. You can't beat .66 for a 2-liter!
  • Today I purchased 4 Soleil Razors and 4 FREE disposable Razors for the "other" Soleil razor ($7.29) a piece...bill was like $42 bucks and came down to .81 cents...
  • Jodi
The bi-lo in goose creek no longer gives overage. They did up until today.
  • Alicia
Just finished a shopping trip at Bi-Lo. I found a couple of deals I wasn't expecting. The first was A1 Marinade was on sale for $2.50 with the $2 coupon from a couple of weeks ago(x6/10) it made it only 50 cents. Also Kraft salad dressing was part of the buy theirs get ours for free. I used the $1.50 coupon off Kraft dressings (x6/10) and got two bottles of Ranch for $1.47, not a great deal but since I needed Ranch dressing anyway I was happy to find it.
Used my $1 off Vitamin Water coupon today. When I handed over my coupons the cashier informed me I couldn't use it because the value was great than the price of the Vitamin Water. When I asked if she could just override the coupon down to $.88 cents she said no. I calmly asked for a manager and she apologized and told the cashier she could take it. Before finding this website I never would have had the nerve to ask. Thanks Jenny for all your help.
  • Terri
Awesome! I get a break from grocery shopping Bi-lo this week! Don't see a thing that would have me driving there for.
  • Jennifer C.
    Vicki,

When they want my card first I fiddle around in my purse and say, "just start ringing it up, I've got to find it". My purse is bigger than my 7 year old so it makes sense and I don't have to explain the why's of it.

Trivia: Jennifer was the most popular baby name for girls between 1970 and 1984. It ranked number one for 14 straight years, we were outdone only by Michael which was most popular boy name from 1960 to 1994, 34 years! That is a ton of Michaels!

Aha! I think I have the problem figured out. It won't allow me to use the words for that part of the chicken or that part of the pig.
  • Jenny
HAHAHA!!! I love it! I have such a huge problem with spam of natures that no one wants to see that I had to go in and make black listed words. I never thought of it affecting meat sales!!!
  • Mina
Jenny, I did copy the post that was originally rejected, and tried to post it 2 other times, but not consecutively. Perhaps it contained mysterious key words that are prohibited, but there was nothing at all offensive or promotional in it. I was just getting VERY frustrated. My one line question was more of a test to see if anything was taking.

Anyway, that white meat part of the chicken that is bnless & sknless and pork lns are $1.88/lb. It's rare for them to go below $1.99/lb around here.

Only 2 types of Fresh Express salad are on sale - Romaine and a Green Mix. The "Green Mix" name might not be accurate, because I don't have the ad in front of me now.

I no longer remember all of the comparison buys for the national brand vs. store brand. Welch's grape juice, Hamburger Helper, and Progresso soup were among them. I may try the Welch's.
  • Teri
Cathy, My Bilo doubled the margret holmes veg.’s q's.
  • melissa O.
the q's for the Eskimo Pie and the Edy's products are save 1.00 wyb 2...so it wouldn't be the same price as listed above. The price starts at 2.50 and you would only get .50 off each of the two you would have to buy at 2.50. It would then be 2.00 each. At least thats what my q's say.
  • cathy
my coupon for the margret holmes veg.'s says 'coupon not for doubling' so wouldn't that be .88 and .35 off to equal .53 per can....is this right??
  • Mina
Okay, this is just crazy. Another post didn't take. I guess I'm not allowed to list the other sales, or let people know that not all of coupon matches in the list are legitimate to use for what they are listed under.

Morgan - No, it cannot be used on that.
  • Jenny
    Mina,

I don't know what is up. I didn't get any to moderate from you so next time if you dont mind high light it and copy it then once you submit if it goes away you can try again. Please do share the deals!!
  • Heather
Clorox Hard Surface Spray is on sale 2/$5. There is a $0.75 off any Clorox Clean-Up, Formula 409 or Clorox Anywhere Product that when doubled to $1.50 makes the spray $1 per bottle! I'm sorry, but I can't remember the date of the paper the coupon came from ... it expires June 5, though, if that helps anyone.
  • .Jennifer
I'm the same Jennifer as #19 just wanted to say I am not the same Jennifer as #18. WAY too many Jennifers on this site. It is confusing for me... I can't imagine how confusing it must be for everyone else!
  • .Jennifer
    just a coupon friend:

The coupon that Jenny is referring to for the fresh express salad is a manufacturer coupon that was in a Kroger flyier. Because it is a manufacturer coupon, and not a store coupon, it can be used anywhere. I do not have that coupon right in front of me, although I do have it, but I think that I recall that it does not even have the Kroger logo on it.

    hth!
  • Jennifer
Manwich $0.88 each and there is a $1/2 in the Publix Fire up the grill, makes them $0.38 each.

  • Hi Jenny,

The $3 off coupon I have for the Bic Soliel Razors from the 5/17 paper says it is for the disposable Bic Soliel Razors. Can this be used on the regular razors that are on sale?

    thanks for you help!
  • Carrie
    Vicki,

My store always asks for the bonus card first, but I tell them that I like to give it at the end so that I can see the sub-total go down all at once, and they haven't given me any problems. And it really is a lot of fun to see your total fly way down!

I'm excited to see Coke 2-liters for $0.88! I've been waiting for this sale! My family doesn't like Pepsi products, and I hate paying full price for soda, so I try to buy up as many as I can during the sale weeks. I go to the store as many times as I can during the week, and buy several each shopping trip. Storage is a bit of a problem, but it beats paying $1.59 a bottle!
  • vicki
my store always wants the bi-lo bonus card first before they even start ringing up anything. How do you deal with that?
  • Amanda
Hey everyone I found a link to bic soleil razors for $2/1. Hope this helps.

Katie - Is 88 cents a good price for the easy mac cups? i have several coupons and trying to decide whether or not to stock up. I saw them for 88 cents last week too and didnt buy them.

88cents is an awesome price. If you use the coupon it makes it .12 in overage on something else but you have to do the method right.

1.) Give items that you expect overage on last.
2.) Give coupons for overage first.
3.) After all coupons scanned give bonus card.
Works for me everytime since I started using it. I seem to always get my overage this way.
  • Jennifer
Ok the gelatin one is working. Buy Jello or instant pudding get theirs for free (the powdered mixes)0.3-5.9 oz on the Jello and 1.34-5.85oz on the SH.

Katie, our Target has the Kraft easy cups for $.77
  • Jennifer
Thanks Jenny for posting this. There are a few great deals (like the vitamin water) that I won't be able to pass up, especially since I'm so close to Bi-Lo!

The buy theirs get ours are up now. Here they are:

-buy Lawry's marinade get theirs free (great if you have a raincheck and coupons!!)

-buy Heinz 57 get theirs free (there are printables!)

-buy Lloyd's bbq (like the pulled pork stuff in the prepared food cold section) get theirs free

-there is also one that says "free gelatin or instant pudding" but I can't get that link to open. Probably buy Jello get theirs free (and there are Jello printables I think)

I don't see the Bacardi mixer coupon -- anyone else having trouble?
  • Brittany
Thanks for getting this posted super fast today!

Some observations...My Mentos gum coupon did not double, only had .12 extra coupon savings last night at Bilo in Lexington. So no overage, but free. I noticed they did have a sign up on the door that says they are coupon friendly. The Pet ice cream is $1.88 also...I did not see that listed.
  • First, just a heads up that there are also blinkies for the B1G1 Mars candy near the candy in my Bi-Lo and near the milk in my Publix. Second, wouldn't that make the M&M's free? Or does their B1G1 policy differ from others.
    Thanks!
    Jamie
  • Jenny
    Jamie,

It would in normal math make the M&M's free but really with a B1G1 sale neither of them is free in the first place, they are both half price. So you will end up getting (2) for the half price of one.

Why do my comments sometimes show up, and sometimes disappear when I post?

    Mina,
