Kroger’s in Texas and Lousianna will be doubling coupons $1 or less this Saturday (tommorrow only).  If you are wanting to participate, go early and be prepped with all the $1 or .75/1 coupons you can find.  Print coupons here and here.

Many are reporting the Kroger’s in Tennessee are tripling to match Harris Teeter’s triples.  Check with your local store to see if they are.  You can use the triples list for HT to help you find deals.  (Many also are saying that Kroger’s prices are better).

And in case you missed it Kroger’s everywhere will start a Mega event with the start of your next ad.  I will have the Kroger list up tomorrow afternoon!

      Donna- Jenny cannot disclose any information about the Mega Event until tomorrow :( She did say to print out as many General Mills coupons as you can, so I assume that has something to do with the MEGA event.

      I am so excited about the upcoming sale at Kroger!! The closest Kroger to us is 1 1/2 hours away, but we are going to TN, and there’s a Kroger about a mile from our cabin!!!!!

      Yes, Kroger doubles the ecoupons unless they say Do not double or triple.

      Colleen/Lindsey – ecoupons are not the same as internet printables. The ecoupons are loaded onto your kroger card and they DO NOT double. Internet printables will, however.

      How do you know if your Kroger is tripling coupons? I’m worried that my Kroger will look at me like I’m crazy if I ask that!

      Liz- I don’t know how long they will be triple. Harris Teeter’s ends Tuesday so I would assume they will at least do it until then. I would call to ask, but they refuse to give any information over the phone.

      I live in Nashville and as far as I am aware ONLY the Krogers closest to Harris Teeter stores are matching the triple coupons. I actually live between 2 stores and only one of them is tripling. Most of the Nashville stores are not so call ahead if you want to be sure.

      I was just at the Belle Meade Kroger (on Harding, near the new HT and Publix), and they are tripling through Tuesday! I got some seriously good deals there today. I got Tyson chicken strips (on sale for $2.99 minus a 55 cent triple), and Tyson fully cooked entrees (on sale for $4 minus 55 cent triple). Also, Digiorno flatbread melts ($2.99 minus a 75 cent triple), and Tonys pizza for one ($1.67 minus 50 cent triple). So often when I do triples, I don’t get much food. But I am sooo well stocked for non-food items, that I specifically focused on food.

      My store in Covington, GA said they were only doubling 50 cent and less like always, but that was over the phone.

      Belle Meade, Brentwood, Franklin, Cool Springs and Nippers Corners are the participating triple stores. I went to Nippers and Brentwood today. Got lots of good deals!

      The triple sale is coinciding with the HT sale week, so through Tuesday- which is awesome b/c that means it runs through the MEGA event – and there are matching coupons and e-coupons!!! Could make for some AWESOME deals!

      I am NOT happy! I went to a TX Kroger today for the Super Doubles. For many years at this store, I have been buying BOGO plus-card sale items and using a manufacturer’s coupon on both BOGO items (one coupon on the ‘buy one’ item and a second coupon on the ‘get one free’ item). I have shopped on many different days/times (so it’s not like I’ve been going to the same cashier), and have NEVER had a cashier not do this. UNTIL TODAY!

      When the Uscan cashier came over to scan my coupons, she handed back one of them and said I couldn’t use a coupon on the free item. I protested and said they are store discounts and manufacturer discounts, which are allowed to be stacked and have done so with no problem for years. She said with an attitude “I’m not gonna argue with you” and told me to go to customer service. I gave my explanation again to the customer service woman, and she insisted the same thing, so I had to give up. She also claimed that all my different cashiers over all the previous years have been doing it wrong and never should have allowed that all along! >:-(

      I was going to call Kroger corporate to complain as soon as I got home, but their website says they’re only open M-F, so now I have to wait two days.

      The coupons were for different amounts off, only one of which was included in today’s Super Doubles, so I don’t think that today’s deal could’ve been related to my problem. Also, there would not have been any overage, so that wasn’t the problem either.

      I’d like to get feedback from some of the Southern Savers readers — Have you had this problem at your Kroger or not? And how is Walgreens on this?

      Soooooooooooo disappointed. At our Kroger in Ohio – no triples, no doubling to .99, and the Mega Deal (so far) doesn’t look that impressive here. The Kroger ad in today’s paper doesn’t show anything overly spectacular. I hope that there are non-advertised deals that make it worth you the fuss over pulling your post about.

      FYI – our Kroger also does not do 50% off if B1G1 and only purchase 1. Heading back to the store to return or pick up the free one.

      I’m moving south.

      mega event? here in atlanta, the sale paper for today was really disappointing. $5 off when you buy 10 products.
      prices still aren’t competitive with publix b1g1, unless there are some serious coupon match ups that i’m missing.
      will wait for jenny’s word…..hopefully this gets better.

      FYI those in the south of Nashville area, I called both Spring Hill stores, Franklin, & Cool Springs stores, and they all said they weren’t participating, anyone finding anything different?

      GRR #27 I am in Tennessee and I have had this happen as well. I had a b1g1 for razors and a $ off and they wouldn’t let me use them both. I didn’t argue because the razors rang-up $2 less than they were marked. Just remember it is not worth fighting about, killem’ with

      kindness and then try to research the coupon pol.

      Kroger in Brentwood on Franklin Rd is tripling up to .99 through Tuesday. God great deals in two trips already. Knorr sides .10, free Edge, Free Wishbone, and several more! Good Luck!

      Hey I was looking at the mega event add online at Kroger.. It says buy 10 get $5.00 off, well I called and you get $5 off for every 10 items up to 30 so that means if you buy 30 items you get $15 off! I am waiting to see what jenny says but from what I see General Mills is really the golden ticket this week.

      I am new to this whole couponing world, but I am LOVING the money I save. I just have a few questions. At Kroger’s are they tripling any copouns up to 0.99 cents even if it is not food? Just needing to know before I head to Kroger’s after work.

      Ugh! I am a newbie but went to Kroger in Spring Hill yesterday and NONE of my coupons got doubled! Not even 35 cent ones. I really need to pay attention. Could have gone to the one in Franklin and possibly gotten TRIPLED! I’m so upset with myself! Might swing by the one in Franklin (on Hwy 96) tonight and get some deals before tripling ends. I thought they ALWAYS doubled the small ones. Some of them were printables but some were not. Oh well, this is how I learn I guess. Thanks for the info—I’m loving this site!!

      Well, don’t know if anyone cares, but the result of my call to Krogers HQ is that they say their policy is indeed to only accept one coupon on BOGO-sale items, despite the fact that dozens of cashiers had thought otherwise for years.

      Thanks for the heads up on Kroger not accepting coupons for BOGO. Publix does so I will save my coupons for them. Sorry you had such a hassle with them.
