I print things from Coupons.com all the time, but tonight whenever I try it tells me they do not support my printer or its settings. I follow the error instructions, but always get the same message. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Yes, any extra will go towards your other purchases, but it can never cover tax.

It can cover tax at Publix… I once got my groceries down to $0.30 and still had a $0.50 coupon that couldn’t be used because the cashier couldn’t give me cash back. It covered tax.

Depends on your store. My Publix recently said they will not take a coupon that is more than the item…not sure about doubling, though. I think I might have to start going to another Publix. It bothers me if it's a manufacturer's coupon that is more than the item's cost….they're getting paid the full amount of the coupon anyway, so they're not losing money.

There is a $0.50 off 1 Soft Soap coupon in my November All You (subscription version) so it will make them free this week if your store doubles.

Watch the size requirements on the coupon in the All You magazine — it requires that the SoftSoap Hand Soap be 8.5oz or larger. The item on sale this week at Publix is only 6 oz. or 7.5 oz so you won't be able to use that coupon.

You can use one manufacture and one store coupon per item. So if you have 2 items, use a total of 4 coupons.

I have a question. I am very new a this I went to a recent Couponing 101 class at my local church in place of my wife who had to work and was inspired about the potential savings. I look at these shopping lists that are made for us and to me they are kind of confussing.

How can a item that is B1G1 Free which makes each item 69 cents or $1.39 for two and you use a $1.00 off coupon from Martha Stewart Mag and you say its Free? In my world that makes it .39 cents for both?

If it's B1G1, it's not really, that's deceptive. It's really half price for one……..

What Jenny is saying is that if you have a $1 off coupon on a 69 cent item, then it's free plus 31 cents back. You don't have to buy two for B1G1, but if you do, you can use a $1 coupon for each item.

Just started “couponing” at the urging of a friend. Jenny, you say that every store's prices hit “rock bottom” in a cycle, generally speaking every 6 weeks. How do I find out when the rock bottom cycle for my Publix and CVS starts? I never really paid much attention to prices so I don't know what to look for and I don't have time to go in every day just to see if prices have dropped. Help!

You watch the advertisements. After you coupon for a while you'll realize how long it takes between sales for the items you use to go on sale at the best price. It takes some time to figure it out. It's a little less predictable at CVS than Publix. For example, vanilla extract might be BOGO twice a year so I know when it's BOGO to stock up on how much I will need for at least 6 months. However, my shampoo might be on sale at publix every other month so I know to buy enough for two months.

Ashley, what she means is each item hits a rock bottom price in the cycle, not everything at once. And it's not every item in the store. I buy a lot of organic and natural things that never go on sale. Example…Hellman's mayo goes BOGO once every 6-12 weeks. I have found that particular item isn't on a 6 week schedule, it's longer. But it is a guideline. Just look at the ad each week to see what is BOGO, and that is the rock bottom price for that cycle. Stock up with coupons at that time until it goes BOGO again. Hope that helps!

I don't know if it's all Publix stores, but mine started their turkey sale. Butterballs are .99/lb and Publix brand are .59/lb. These are frozen turkeys, so I thankfully have a chest freezer to put it in.

you should check and see if there are any stores in your area that Jenny does that do double coupons. i just found a kroger about an hour away that doubles. and i have a harveys. all i did was go to the stores websies and see were their stores are and see if there is one near you. hope this helps.

If anyone uses Enfamil (premium)… it’s on sale this week at Publix for 21.50 (I think)… Food Lion has a $3 off coupon and there is a $5 off coupon on Coupons.com… this should make the tub $13.50 (reg. 25)… plus if you have any enfamil “checks” from when you signed up – that’s another $3 off… making it just over 10 bucks. The vitamin store and manufacturing coupons really helped because they gave me 4.00 in overage, Ronzoni gave me 2.40 in overages as well. The pasta makes a great donation item to the local food bank.

HEADS UP! I live in Atlanta( Marietta) and my Publix informed me today they would no longer be accepting any Target coupons! I went Thursday morning and my cashier refused to take the Target coupons that said “Target Web Coupon” in the header across the top. After a short conversation with the Manager, she told me the would still allow the Target Coupons the said “Manufacturer Coupon” in the header, but not Web Coupons. Today (Saturday) I went back to another cashier that said NO Target coupons would be accepted, period. I hashed it out again w/ their Manager,she told me their Corporate office had made a decision not to take ANY Target coupons! I don’t know if this decision will effect all Publix, but if you are planning on using one, check with the Service Desk prior to shopping, so you don’t get stuck paying more for an item than you planned! UPDATE: They also told me no more CVS or any place that wasn’t a GROCERY store in competition with them. If they stop doubling coupons, I’m outta there!

I've used at least 4 or 5 of the store coupons at one time (providing there is enough of the vitamins in stock). Choose the cheapest vitamin if it isn't something that you need. Doctors are seeing a great Vitamin D deficiency, so the Vitamin D is a great donation to the food bank.

I've been familiar with this website for awhile now, but I haven't really started yet and I'm going to try to today. I am just confused about how many coupons to print. I want to use the $1/2 Campbell's Select Harvest Soup coupon, and I know that my Publix will allow me to double, but I don't know what that means really. Do I need to literally print 2 coupons to get them for .69? Or will they just scan it twice or something? And can I get more than 2 cans and they'll continue to double it? I hope I'm making sense..

If the cpn is $1/2 and your publix doubles up to a $1 then you would give them 1 cpn for 2 cans and they would give you $2 off. If you print off more cpns (usually you can print 2 cpns per computer) then you could get 2 cans for each cpn you have and they will take off $2 for each cpn.

I believe that it depends on what “district” your store falls into as to whether or not they double the coupons. The Publix in Dothan, AL (down in the lower corner of Alabama at the Georgia line) does not double because it is in the “Jacksonville” district which is in Florida even though all the other Alabama stores double and it is an Alabama store. This is probably the case with the Coastal GA stores as well – if you are considered in the Jacksonville district they dont double but if you are in the Atlanta district – they do.

Hope I can help….the $1/2 coupon means…$1 off your order if you buy 2 cans. The $1 will not double (at least in Georgia). The coupon may only be used for those two cans. If you want to buy more for that price, you will need to print/use another coupon. You can print most coupons twice from each computer; however, sometimes you can only print once.

Don't know if that is a great deal or not, but we needed some gummy vitamins. Publix has a 6 off store coupon if you buy 2 disney vitamins…. I had two 1off coupon from coupon dot com and ended up paying 4 for 2 60 gummies bottle of vitamins.

2.00 each for kids vitamins is a good deal. Thats about the cheapest I have seen them. I plan to stock up. They were BIGI at CVS not to long ago but they are 8.99 ea which made them 3.50 with the 1.00 coupons.

LOL!! That's why I'm not even buying any! Between my 8 yr old daughter and myself, I don't even think it would survive the day :) We put it on all kinds of stuff….croissants, whole grain or wheat toast, and our favorite is dipping pretzels in it :) YUM!!!

Shopping today at Publix was not a pleasure! I've been shopping at the same store for several years and I've been through this cashier's line a zillion times. She must have been having a bad day and decided to take it out on me. She read all of my coupons before ringing anything at all up and questioned me about whether I had bought several items. I had to show her the items. Like the Ronzoni pasta – I had to prove that I'd bought 2 because I had a printable coupon and a peelie. Then, she had to explain to me that she had to make sure I wasn't trying to use 2 manufactures coupons on one item. I've been through her line enough for her to ask personal questions about my kids, I thought she'd remember I've never tried to take advantage before. Anyway, after my groceries were baggged she started scanning the coupons and made me take other things out of the bags to prove I'd bought them too! I was already feeling bad and then she refused to take a coupon for free shaving cream because I didn't buy the razors at that time. I had previously bought the razors but there wasn't any shaving cream left. I was told it wouldn't be a problem to use the coupon in the future. What I learned today is – if you buy something with a peelie for a free item either go to the service desk and get them to write you a note saying you can get the free item next time or save your reciept. I wasn't trying to take advantage of the cashier or Publix. It makes me sad that every coupon I had was scrutinized like that because of what other people have done. I only spent $38 today and save $64. Ususally I'm really excited about the money I saved, but today I'm not.

That is such a bummer! I hate it when that happens–definitely takes all the fun out of coupon shopping. You still had a great trip, though, so be proud of yourself. Everyone has an off day sometimes–maybe she just got yelled at for accepting a bogus coupon or something.

The same thing happened to me!! The cashier asked for all my coupons BEFORE she rang anything up and stood there and scrutinised EVERY ONE of them and then rang the groceries up, and then scanned the coupons. I was mortified as not only was there a long line waiting impatiently for “the crazy coupon woman” aka me, but the cashier made me feel like I was trying to take advantage of Publix!!

Good grief. They DO have to look at them you know, and for some cashiers its easier to scan the item and the coupon as they go. As for the person that said the cashier should remember what she scanned, have YOU ever tried remembering that many things at once, while taking money AND operating a machine at the same time, on top of making required small talk? You’d think people thought they were robots or something….

At my Publix, the cashiers always take my coupons first and look at each one. Then they seperate them into piles in the order they want to scan them. It never bothers me because I know that all my coupons are for the items I purchased and can easily prove that by showing the cashier the product. Also at my Publix, I would say that at least half of the people who shop there are couponers. Usually you will see a line at one certain register full of people with their binders, so I don’t really feel bad about the line I am causing. I know the people behind me will have the same line. But if this is not the case for you, just apologize to whoever is behind you and go on with your day. You shouldn’t feel bad about trying to save money for your family. Who knows maybe those people behind you will learn something that will help them as well :)

I'm so sorry it happened to you. Specially at Publix. They are so coupon friendly…. I love my store…. they really don't care how many coupons you have. They are always nice. Kroger is the one that I always have problems with.

I scan my own coupons at my Publix… at self checkout. You just scan the barcode like you would an item, then there's a little slot for it right beside the cash depository. It makes things much easier because you never ever have to get questioned or humiliated.

That's too bad, Beth. I think if the cashier at Publix asked me to PROVE that I had bought something — I would tell HER to look at the receipt — or go through the bags herself. I'm not trying to be rude, but that's really not your job. The scanner should kick back any coupons that are no good. The cashier shouldn't even have to worry about it, right? And, if Publix has designed their coupon system to be dependent upon a very alert cashier, well, then it's the cashier's job. Sounds like she was having an off day — but it shouldn't be your problem when that happens. I hope it goes better next time!

I had a yuck experience at Publix today too! I think we have one of the best Publix stores around and it is usually fun to shop there! My cashier gave me a “sermonette” on couponing fraud, how any coupon that comes through an email is not legit, and that they were going to be changing their couponing policies soon. I didn't even have that many coupons, and all of my coupons were acceptable. :( I felt like you…even though I had saved a good bit of money, I felt defeated and humiliated. She gave her “talk' to me while 2 other customers stood listening. :( No fun.

Had a similar trip last week. I gave all coupons first then at the end the cashier had me digging through bags to prove I had purchased the products. I have been shopping at the same Publix for several years and this is the first time I have had to speak with a Mgr about the poor customer service.

It amazes mew they asked yall to pull the items out to prove you bought them, THE CASHIER IS THE ONE WHO RANG IT UP! lol Also, could they not just look on their computer screen and scroll up to the item? Or print a receipt? Wierd..I am going this evening. If they pull that with me (which they never have before) then I will tell them they should have been paying attention while scanning my items!

Sorry you had such a bad experience, Beth. That does spoil the thrill
of saving so much when something like that happens. The cashiers at my
Publix ask that we give them the coupons up front since apparently the
scanner doesn't match them to the products. I've started putting my
coupons with the matching products as I unload my buggy. This way,
they can see what goes with what, and it's less likely that I'll
forget a coupon. Which seems to happen to me when I have a large
order. ;-)

I have had that same issue happen to me. I coupon responsibly. I only use the coupons that I have bought items for and always check expirations. When the cashier began to “give me a speech”, I very nicely told her all my coupons were ligitamate and that she should have paid closer attention to what she was ringing up. Furthermore, her negativity towards couponers was apparent and that I was sure Publix philosophy was not to attempt to embarrass their customers. This pretty much stopped the attitude.

I am not a child to be lectured to and couponing does not make me a second rate citizen. Just be respectful and keep your composure. And when you have a good experience, complement them, it helps set the ambiance for the next couponer.

Not a bad trip to Publix today. I thought it would be fun to film my trip, even though I am a complete dork on camera. Unfortunately the only available cashier was the super-stickler gal I normally try to avoid, but I think she was nicer than usual because of the video camera. I didn’t click your link yet but, you do know that can get you kicked out of Publix, right? Filming without explicit consent from a Publix rep. at corporate level is a big no-no. Associates aren’t even allowed to take unauthorized still pics and if a store allows you to do it without consent from corporate they can get into trouble also :(

has anyone else had trouble with the beechnut baby food coupon? I looked in my 8/01 ss insert and I can't find it anywhere I live in TN and get the Tennessean. I checked the variation page on it and it wasn't even listed little alone a different amount.

I don't have papers that far back but you can use the printable (not quite as good) and if you happen to have any coupons from signing up for the baby club – there is a $1.50 off 10 that you can stack to make them 2 cents each. Just a thought.

Most Publix double coupons up to .50, so the .50 coupon will double to 1.00 making it free! Unless you are in FL where doubling doesn't happen.

Ok S. Fl community. I have a question, Publix has the Birds Eye Voila B1G1 and I found B1G1 Birds Eye Steamfresh coupons in last weeks inserts (can't remember which one). Does anyone know if I can use those to purchase the BE Voila since they'll come out absolutely free?

Sorry, I misread your question the first time. I didn't realize you said the Voila is B1G1 and the coupon is for Steamfresh. Check the coupon itself. Birdseye is usually very specific about what they include and exclude.

I'm in Charleston SC and go to the Main Rd./John's Island Publix. Lately there seems to be a lot of confusion about taking competitor coupons for a so many dollars off (like 4 off 20 purchase etc). One evening the manager told me you can only use multiple copies of the same competitor coupon per purchase. Then another evening a cashier told me the opposite: you can only use a single copy of a given coupon of this type per purchase–but can combine it with other single copies of this type coupon (i.e., 4 off 20 rite aid and a 5 off 20 CVS would be OK — BUT NOT two of the 4 off 20 rite aid). Anyone else getting conflicting opinions?

Yes, it is crazy! One person will take 4 coupons of same (4 off 20, cvs) when I spend 80.00. Another says you can use 1 cvs and 1 rite aid and another says you can use one or the other. Why can't they have everyone at every publix be on the same page?

I realized after I got home last night I forgot 5 coupons at home that totaled $6. Not a huge amount, but enough that I was mad at myself. If I take my receipt and coupons back to publix customer service, can they do anything about it?

My Publix will allow you to do this within a small time frame. I have went home and took my receipt w/ coupons back to the service desk on the same day, and the did it. I waited till the next day once, and they wouldn't. I guess it depends on the Publix you shop at?

The Vigo rice is an amazing deal when the $.50 Q doubles, but it's not a good product. I just made a paella by adding tons of fresh veggies, chicken and shrimp (no extra salty products) and it was sooooo salty. I was afraid to add any sausage or olives would turn the dish into a salt lick!! The packet itself is 35% of daily recommended intake of salt!

HEADS UP! I live in Atlanta( Marietta) and my Publix informed me today they would no longer be accepting any Target coupons! I went Thursday morning and my cashier refused to take the Target coupons that said “Target Web Coupon” in the header across the top. After a short conversation with the Manager, she told me the would still allow the Target Coupons the said “Manufacturer Coupon” in the header, but not Web Coupons. Today (Saturday) I went back to another cashier that said NO Target coupons would be accepted, period. I hashed it out again w/ their Manager,she told me their Corporate office had made a decision not to take ANY Target coupons! I don't know if this decision will effect all Publix, but if you are planning on using one, check with the Service Desk prior to shopping, so you don't get stuck paying more for an item than you planned!

each publix can choose if they take target coupons or not. where i live there are 3 publix close to were i live, 2 will take them but one will not. so if i do have a target coupon i wish to use, i go to the publix that take them. sometime it depends on how close they are to a target.

You can as long as the “Whole Foods” coupon is a store coupon (the first digit isn't a 5 or 9) and as long as your Publix will accept that store's coupon. My Publix in Chattanooga, TN won't accept Earth Fare coupons, because that is considered a health food store, not a grocery store. Hope it works!

I must be absolutely going crazy. I've got the November 2010 allyou magazine right here in front of me and Hunt's tomatoes are NOWHERE IN IT. I found a good coupon match for the BOGO Scotch Magic Tape. There is a $1.00/1 manufacturer's coupon off any Scotch Magic Tape or Gift Wrap Tape in the new Publix winter family savings booklet. Use two and it will only come out to .19 for both!
