Pouchie Bags is a business based out of Greenville, SC (if you haven’t been there, it is a beautiful city).  The goal of Pouchie Bags is to give a fun, creative alternative to plastic bags which just end up in the landfills.  I was sent some of the bags myself and they are high quality and really cute too!

Pouchie Bags are reusable sandwich and snack bags that can be washed in a washing machine or a dishwasher.  Since these bags are washable, you can quit spending money on and using those plastic bags that you have to throw away after only one use.  There is also a pouch on the Sandwich size Pouchie Bags which can be used as a napkin instead of having to use paper towels.  They are easy to take with you and are leak resistant!  You can even choose to have custom embroidery included on your bags.

Another great thing about these bags is that they’re not as loud as regular plastic bags!  We like to pack snacks for my three year old to help her sit quietly through Church and I feel like everyone can hear everytime she gets another handful out of the plastic bag.  These are silent!  I love it!!

      My husband leaves the house @ 6am and doesn’t get home until 9pm for work.  We have always brown bagged to work and college.  I pack him both lunch and dinner to go in the mornings.  These would be a great alternative to the sandwich bags. I would also love a few for my daughter who takes lunch to school.  These are a lot cooler than those plastic bags.

      I know what you mean Valerie!  I only have 1 child but she thinks EVERYTHING should be in a plastic baggie!  If I won these I would of course pack her lunch in them and probably let her play with a set with her baby dolls.

      I would get some of these for my 16 year old and I to put our make-up in…her make-up bag gets so dirty on the inside and the one we have is not washable.  I would also use this to keep small items in my purse.  And, possibly to keep a few coupons or rainchecks in (I have them in a plastic baggie right now).  And, lastly….I would like some for actual lunches.  These are adorable!  I do not use twitter….but, follow you on facebook and here on SS.  Please select me, so my daughter can have a clean make-up bag!  : )

      I think using the pouchies for lunches is just the beginning. I can’t imagine stopping there, these bags would be great for almost everything, the car, my purse, school supplies (erasers, pencils), traveling!!!! Never saw these before, how handy!!!

      I have Type 1 Diabetes so I would use them to pack snacks that help keep my blood sugar in control. I would also use them to store any extra supplies I need for my glucose meter! I would also use them to store make-up in! :)

      What a great idea!  Currently I reuse plastic containers to pack mine and my husband's lunch each day in order to be a little more environmentally responsible.  However, at the end of the day, I literally have 7 or 8 plastic containers to wash in addition to the dinner dishes.  Pouchie bags would allow me to pack our lunches in an environmentally friendly way and then avoid the extra clean up as I could put them in the washing machine!

      I was looking into these the other night and would love to get some. I am trying to be less wasteful and I thought these would be great to get rid of the use of zip lock bags. Mainly I would use these for my son. He is going into kindergarten this year and I want to pack him a lunch. The teachers say that is very helpful to them if the students food can be stored in containers that the kids could easily open on their own and I think these would be perfect for that. Plus how much more fun are these then a clear zip lock bag! I would use these for me as I like to pack healthy snacks in the car when I am busy running around.

      I would definitely pack lunches for my 1st grader and VPK-er. Next year my son will also be staying for lunch, so 3 less users of plastic lunch baggies. Re-using is a big part of our routine and these would be great to add to our lifestyle.

      Out of all the giveaways SS has, Pouchie Bags are the best!!  I had seen an idea like this before and tried to make my own, but failed.  I would use Pouchie bags for EVERY lunch my family packs.  We try to use Tupperware mostly now, but sometimes you just need a baggie and that is so wasteful.

      A great way to add to the experience of my daughter learning frugality and love for the environment! She is now birding with me and much to her chagrin, we are packing our food for our day trips – like I did for 37 years before she came along – and these will certainly make it more appealing. Who doesn't know any child that doesn't like to do things colorfully and differently so she has more of a story to tell?!       Besides packing food bore us, I'd use them for carrying items to and from the salon. I would put bobby pins, clips, combs, and holding color bottles.       I think I would use my Pouchie bags in a variety of ways.  I could organize my lunch, my purse and my work bag.  As a nurse, my work bag can get kind of messy and Pouchies would really help!  I also think these bags would be great on the weekend when my husband and I ride our Harley.  Being small and compact they would fold up fantastic and hold all those small things in the limited space we have.  They would also make a great first aid kit, make up kit or sewing kit.  What about when you take a trip?  Pack a Pouchie and add all those small pieces of memorabilia (ticket stubs, park entrance, postcards) that you collect.  Once home, unpack, add pictures and you've got instant scrapbook material!  Wow, I really think I could keep going…

      I just told my co-workers today that I am going to do better this year. I am going to buy better snacks that are not pre-packaged and I am going to prepare snacks ahead of time. For example, I will buy big package of goldfish and fill up baggies for the week. That way I am not throwing something at them on the way to the bus!

      I love these green bags! I made some myself for my kids to use at preschool. It was easier for them to open and close by themselves, saving them from having to wait on the teacher for help. With only 15 min for snack, I wanted them to have ad much time to eat as possible.

      I also love that you can stuff them in your pocket or purse when empty. That means they take up less space than Tupperware In the lunchbox, dishwasher abd when storing.
      My kids use them to stash thier special treat (chicklets) after couponing.

      every tuesday at my sons school is called no trash tuesday, they try to  promote recycling and reduce trash to landfills. What a great way to solve the problem. I follow on facebook also and first in my favorite folder so easy to log on.
