The days are starting to cool off and it makes me want to spend all of my time outside before it gets too cold. Our family loves to go on hikes, and I’m thinking this is the perfect time for a picnic.
Around here if I wait to make a fancy picnic meal we would never go. So I turn to the tride and true PB & J. For my 5 year old this is a dream come true, as this is her favorite meal. Seriously the kids gets giddy and excited if you tell her that we are having sandwiches for dinner. For the rest of us, I make it more fun by changing up the jelly. Smucker’s has a Natural Fruit Spreads line which comes in Concorde Grape, Orange Marmalade, Red Raspberry and Strawberry flavors.
In all honesty picnic sandwich time is the one moment where I break all the mom rules and I am willing to make everyone a different type of sandwich. We all have to be a YesMom on something, and this is one small moment where my family is thrilled to have exactly what they want. So for tonights dinner we are having:

(1) Marmalade Sandwich (like Paddington Bear)
(2) PB & Red Raspberry
and for my Gluten free husband… he gets cream cheese with red raspberry topping to dip his gluten free crackers into. The rest of us may help him a bit too!
