I love this idea, especially if you have a brand new dump truck (otherwise, be prepared to clean it well). This is essentially a dirt cake / trifle in the back of a dump truck. Very little preparation required!

This truck birthday cake is slightly more complicated and requires you to do some assembly. But it’s mostly just cake and icing, so it’s totally doable even for an amateur baker.

Of all the truck birthday cake ideas I found, this one was my favorite. You could use a variety of candies around the base and any little toy dump trucks you already have on hand. If you want to use brand new (clean!) trucks, I like these construction vehicle toys from Amazon.
