This March I am really excited to be speaking at a homeschooling convention called Teach Them Diligently. This convention will be held in the Spartanburg Expo Center in Spartanburg, SC from March 15th-17th.

I do believe it will be one of the best homeschool conventions in the nation. There will be a large vendor hall to shop, great speakers, informative workshops, and programs for children and teens.

The list of speakers is also amazing! We will see some pretty big names for speakers, including Dr. Voddie Baucham, Ken Ham, Doug Phillips.

Right now, there is a coupon code for registration – get $5 off when you enter the code SAVERS. The cost will depend on all the activities you choose to sign up for, but it seems well worth the money!

Yeah!! This is awesome!! Do you home school your girls?  I am new to HS in FL…and this sounds like a fabulous convention!!

      • We do homeschool the older girls.  My youngest just pretends she does school :)

I homeschool my daugter and really enjoy it.  She loves it as well, and DOESN’T want to hear of going to a “regular” school…

          • I homeschool mine as well and I can use going back to public school as a threat – HA! Sad but it works :)

            • Foxfaith147

I use it as a threat also….for part of math we figured out how much “play time” they would have at home if they went to public school(2hours) and that did it for them…now I use it to threaten them…LOL

c’mon now, emilytwinmom and foxfaith147 – that is not very nice.  Everybody has to do what is right for their respective families and not everyone has the luxury of being able to hs.  We did it for a while and enjoyed it, but circumstances changed and we had to send our 2 to ps.  Each side has pros and cons and if you use ps as a threat, it may come back to haunt you if your circumstances change.

I was home educated K-12, now 27yrs old and mother. I have seen several different  families homeschool through many different avenues which is what makes it so unique, personalized and potentially successful. At this point we are not sure what type of education we will choose for our children, but we still have a few years to think/pray about the options. My parent’s did a remarkable job and the bar is set high. I have seen their sacrifices throughout the years ( I have 3 siblings). I’d like to encourage all of you HS parents who learn to have patience, self-sacrifice, and discipline to teach your children. :)

We just started homeschooling, and this looks awesome!  It’s more affordable than I was expecting for a Ken Ham/Kendrick event!

    • RachelC

Has anyone ever used the children’s program for an event like this? Do you just leave your kids? How safe is it?

      • We are bringing our girls up for it, and I was hesitant but after reading their plan and talking with them for a bit I think it’s going to be awesome.

It sounds like a 3 day VBS basically and we already read the children’s version of Pilgrims Progress with our girls so hopefully they will be able to follow it.

My 14yodd worked at the Greenville Convention last year, and my 10yo attended the program, and both had nothing but praises about the program!!!

    • Rachel

I SO want to go to this, but there is no way! I am due March 26th with our 5th.

    • Melissad2

I am hoping to make it there!!

    • Mom_4_Him

Have to put a plug in for a great friend- Don’t miss Pamela Berthume who is also speaking during several of the workshops.  Lord willing, our 7th born is due on the 12th, but I am hoping to be there!!!  We have been homeschooling for 12 years and have attended several conferences, but this line-up looks wonderful!!!
