So how do you use an e-gift card in the store? Does it have a thing they can scan once I print it out?

      • melissa

Oh never mind… it says you can print it out and use it in store, so there must be a way.

I think you can also “buy” a hard copy gift card online with your e-gift card, with free shipping to your house. I do that with swagbucks e-cards all the time, since the like the “swipable” cards better.

        • angela

You can use the e-giftcard to purchase a physical gift card which they will mail to you free of charge. I do this all the time with swagbucks.

as a walmart garden center cashier I can tell you that you just hand it to the cashier as payment and she scans the bar code.

    • Two questions/clarifications:

The $10 bonus is available in 3-5 days after I purchase the $100 egift card, correct?

So, theoretically, I could use all $110 on a single purchase after I receive the $10 bonus?

      • guest

You should be able to use them both together with no problems.

Hope this helps someone . . . I had already purchased a $100 gift card for my Mom for Christmas, and I thought, “Rats, I bought it too early!” But the checkout allows you to “pay” with a gift card. So I paid with her gift card, and I will give her the new one, plus an extra $10! :) Glad they let me do that . . .

    • GA-Jen

Don’t forget to do this through ebates.com!

The site seems to be crashing . . . it keeps saying processing, in an endless loop. A few of my friends who ordered early in the day got their e-gift cards in a few minutes, and those who ordered later say processing until Tuesday. Many orders have been cancelled and refunded. Apparently they didn’t realize how popular this was going to be! I hope they honor those who tried to do it!

Do you have to buy the $100 card online, or can you get it in the store with the same deal?

      • guest

It looks like it’s online only. They send an eGift Card to your email, then you can print it and take it to the store or you can also use for online purchases.

Does anyone know if you can use it to pay for gas, for 10¢ off per gallon?

    • Sandra

Has anyone gotten the 10$ one? I ordered mine got the 100$ but still havent seen the extra 10$

      • esyke623

I just got it today. I think it said 3-5 days. It was in my junk, though, so look carefully. It said “You have received a gift card from Walmart customer service,” and I almost missed it.

        • esyke623

Oh– and today is 4 days after I ordered the $100 one.
