This week I made it out to three stores: Publix, CVS and Dollar General.  We also grabbed a ton of stuff and came in way under budget!  I like weeks like this.

I already shared exactly what we bought at CVS in a video earlier this week.  So you can watch and see the scenarios and coupons I used.

CVS Totals:

Total Value Purchased: $67
Total Spent: $3.74
ECB Remaining: $15

publix trip 1-21

My next stop was the new Publix ad that started Wednesday (or Thursday for some of you).  I couldn’t resist the awesome Tide/Rotisserie Chicken deal, plus a number of super cheap and free items.  This was a big savings trip, and another week that we through in a gas gift card.  As long as you buy $50 in groceries before coupons you can use the in-ad coupon to save $10 off a gas station gift card.  Our total after coupons for the grocery items was way below $50, but that doesn’t matter!

Total Value Purchased: $137.34
Total Spent: $69.94 (includes $50 gift card)

Like last time the $50 gas gift card doesn’t come out of our grocery budget so you’ll see in the weekly totals below what the grocery budget expenses were.

dollar general candy

Last stop this week was Dollar General.  I had heard rumor of 25¢ Christmas clearance so we ran in to see what that included.  In my store it was just candy.  I grabbed 6 items, the most of them being the pop rock candy that made me feel like it was 1990 all over again.  Yes we’ve already eaten some…

Total Spent: $1.50

Weekly Totals:

Total Value Purchased: $154.34
Total Spent: $25.18
Percentage Saved: 86%
