This week we did great.  I sent my husband to the store on Tuesday and the first time he stayed strictly on list and didn’t come with anything unexpected (which usually equals costly).  He did grab some bulk items where I probably would have gotten the smaller package (remember many coupons are good on any size package and usually make the smaller items the best deal).  I’m not complaining though, I had a busy day and he was totally up for the challenge, he even took 3 kids with him!  Maybe that was my mother’s day present…

I also ran into CVS to grab the money maker nail polish and a few other things.

Food Lion
Total before sales and coupons: $93.12
Total Spent: $62.18
Total Saved: $30.94

He was sent mostly for bread, milk and produce.  The savings was on a few BOGO items and other sales with a couple coupons thrown in.  I’m pleased though.

CVS
Total before sales and coupons: $20.47
Total Spent: $2.89
ECB Remaining: $5

That is a makes me happy kinda trip!  Left with two nail polishes and a free Physicians Formula powder.
