I ventured out today with my chauffeur (still can’t drive…) and hit Publix, Walgreens and Walmart!  That’s a big day in our house.  My husband swears we won’t need to shop for the rest of the year, I know better that this is probably enough for the next two weeks except for a few items purchased ahead for a beach trip at the end of the month.

First stop was Publix:

We got everything on this list and used the coupons that I left on the list.  The only not linked there is the $1.50 off produce coupon that my store accepts as a competitor.

Total before sales and coupons: $144.12
Total spent: $69.60
Total Saved: $74.52 or 52%

The sunscreen, Nutri-grain bars, and fig newtons will all be saved for the beach trip.

Next up Walgreens:

This trip was made exclusively for the awesome Kingsford charocal coupon we found!

Bought:
(2) Bags of Kingsford Charcoal, $4.99
(1) Glad Trash Bags, $7.49
Used:
(2) -$3 off Kingsford Coupons
Total Due: $11.47
Got Back: $3 RR

Bought:
(1) Degree Clinical Deodorant $8 (not on sale just needed it)
(2) Ivory Soap, 3 pk., $1
(1) Laffy Taffy, 17¢
Used:
(2) -$1 off Ivory or Safeguard personal cleansing item, PG 7/01
-$2.25 off Degree Women Clinical Protection deodorant, excl trial size, (Savings Club only) printable
-$3 RR
Total Due: $2.92

I was very happy for this trip!  Not only did we need trash bags, but the charcoal will be awesome for smoking some BBQ tomorrow.  In the end it all helped me save a ton on deodorant I needed and couldn’t really get a deal on anywhere else.

Last trip was to Walmart:

We needed to grab some birthday presents for a party tomorrow, and this is my go to for quick toys.  While we were there I planned to use some coupons for things we needed that aren’t on sale anywhere.  I ended up with nothing though.  As usual every item I came to wasn’t the price I was willing to pay for it, knowing the sales my grocery stores will have.  We did grab a box of Tea Bags that were $3.50 at Publix full price but were $2.98 at Walmart.

Weekly Totals:

Total before sales and coupons: $174.57
Total spent: $77.97
Total Saved: $96.60 or 55%
