theaterToday for Frugal Date Friday we are experiencing the arts in our community. Head to a community college, high school, or other local play or concert.

Tickets are usually free-$10 for these events. The price will vary depending on the production, so shop around for something in your price range. Just remember to have an open mind and be willing to try something new.

Don’t forget to also check coffee shops and restaurants for jazz nights, open mics, and more.

A local college near me is offering a run through of a professional play for free. There will not be any costumes, props, or set decorations, but it will be the full play for free. There are also Off Off Broadway products that are normally free and very entertaining.

These events usually aren’t kid friendly, but you can go here for ways to save on child care.
