alfredo sauce recipe

I love eating a big bowl of pasta with alfredo sauce (who doesn’t?!). If you’re looking to indulge in this treat as well, here’s a recipe for super yummy and creamy alfredo sauce!

I like to serve this sauce over pasta with grilled chicken and lots of green veggies (peas, green beans, broccoli, zucchini…). It would also be great as a dipping sauce for bread!

Creamy Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. In a skillet over medium-low heat, add the butter and allow to melt. Stir the garlic in and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  2. Add the heavy whipping cream and allow it to come to a very low simmer, stirring occasionally. After the cream mixture has reduced slightly (after about 5 minutes), stir in salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese in and remove the pan from the heat. Stir the mixture until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
