With BOGO sales, Publix rings up one item at 1/2 off. Is that the same with their ecoupons, or do I have to get both items?

      • Kristina

I just looked at the Kraft dressing BOGO and it says must buy 2 items. I wonder how that will work when the dressing is BOGO on sale though.

        • Mary

          My thoughts exactly :)

        • Laura

The 16 oz goes bogo all the time but I don’t recall the 8 oz ever being bogo.

If it ever does though at my store bogo rings half price each so they’d be $1.25 each and the coupon would deduct $1.25 I presume.

      • ShayB417

In my experience I have had to get both items if it is a coupon for $/2 items. If it is a $ off any one, you can apply it to one item purchased at half price. I hope that makes sense.

    • mwrnkls

Also, at Kroger, if you use your Kroger card last, after all items and coupons, you’ll be able to use both paper and digital coupons on the same item. Is this the same at Publix?

      • Kristina

I don’t think the paper and digital coupons would work at Publix. I’m pretty sure my digital coupons don’t show up until the end of the transaction. I normally enter my phone number at the beginning though.

        • mwrnkls

Ok, thanks for replying to both questions!

      • mpa8cat

Does it matter which order. When I go to Kroger, they always want my card first. Can I tell time to ring all items plus coupons before they swipe my card?

        • mwrnkls

At Kroger, yes, the order matters. If you give them your Kroger card first, your ecoupons will come off. Then when they scan your paper Qs, they won’t go through because the paper ones look for any other coupons entered before them (ecoupons).

When you do it the other way (items, paper coupons, Kroger card), you’ll get both coupons added. This is because the Kroger card doesn’t search to see if a coupon was already applied to Item A.

The trick is, your Kroger card must be scanned in *before* the paper coupons order for the paper coupons to double (if your store is still doubling).

So, you can’t get get a doubled coupon + an ecoupon on the same item.

For example, last week I had a .50/1 Colgate toothpaste. I had a stack of other coupons for $1 or higher off other products, as well as a stack of ecoupons to use on the same products. I didn’t want to ring the toothpaste up all by itself just to get the double on it, so I went on the Kroger app and found another .50/1 Colgate ecoupon. I saved a total of $1 on that toothpaste (paper + ecoupon), not $1.50 (doubled paper + ecoupon).

Does that make sense? It’s really early, lol.

And yes, before I catch a bunch of flack, I know all of this is *technically* against policy. You are only supposed to have one coupon per item, digital or paper, doesn’t matter. However, their system allows it, and I am one of those people who will work the system if it provides for my family. They will eventually figure it out and put a stop to it.

        • mwrnkls

To answer your second question, yes, you can ask them to use your card last. Personally, I feel like that draws attention to my transaction and causes suspicion.

So I usually go through self-checkout. If on the odd chance I don’t go through self-checkout, I just keep busy unloading my cart while they ring things up, then get my coupons out, etc. etc. then give my card at the end. One time a cashier said he had to scan my card before he scanned my Kroger $ off purchase coupon, which makes sense. He did all the coupons, then my card, then the $ off purchase.

I also really like using the self-checkout because then I can take all the time I need to make sure the items are ringing up at the right price and I have all the coupons I need for the right items, stuff like that. That way I’m not holding anybody up or irritating the cashier.

With a BOGO ecoupon, can you stack a paper coupon? Thanks.

    • Ashley D

Can you use the BOGO Miracle Whip ecoupon WITH the $1 off Miracle Whip ecoupon?

    • Ruth

I’m disappointed with Publix digital coupons. I have had trouble with them not deducting from my total even though I bought the correct required item and did not use a paper coupon.

This has happened twice at least that I know of. Today it didn’t deduct the $3/2 Tyson’s Anytizers. I purchased 2 and no deduction on my receipt. I went to customer service and she said it won’t deduct unless you buy the exact item pictured even though the verbage doesn’t say it is limited to that pictured item.
It happened to me before when I purchased Downy and nothing was deducted.
Has any one else had this problem? Jenny do you know anything about this?

      • Mike

Wondered/worried about this, which is why I have not yet used them.

        • andrea

The same thing happened to me when I purchased the tyson anytizers, I am not motivated to use their online coupons again.

      • Lucy

Yes I have had the same thing happen and thought it was just me! Glad to know that is not the case and hope that it will get resolved.

      • freedomspradley1

I tried that deal too but the reason it didn’t work is I purchased the small boxes of Anytizers that were B1G1 last week and the coupon was for the bags.

    • lori

how did you get your coupons to load? when i click on it, it says invalid certificate

    • kanisha

I don’t think the paper and digital coupons would work at Public.first make it clear whether it works or not.

thank you for ssharing this article.

      • freedomspradley1

The digital coupons work at Publix but you can not stack them with paper coupons. Don’t load a digital coupon if you would rather use a paper one because it will automatically take the digital (which does not double, regardless of amount) and reject the paper coupon.

    • jen

The E coupons are considered manufacturers coupons and you cant stack them with a store coupon correct?
