free online coupon workshop
We officially have a coupon class that everyone can attend!!  You can watch a free 2 hour long coupon class online anytime you want right from Southern Savers.  I’ve also included an online version of the workbook that is given out at the workshops I teach in person.

You can watch it all in one sitting or in segments.  You can even share different parts you think a friend may like (or need to hear).

I will still be teaching in person workshops that are longer and more localized with tips and tricks

Want to host a local coupon class:
I have this video available in DVD form and printed copies of the workbooks that can be mailed to you at cost. You can then have someone local answer questions after the video and turn this into your own event!  Email workshops@southernsavers.com for more information.

    • Guest

Congrats on your new child, nothing better.

I wonder why you encourage trading, buying and selling of coupons even when this practice is expressly prohibited by the wording on the coupons? If a manufacturer coupon says something like “not to be transferred or sold” or “void if coppied, sold or exchanged” wouldn’t it be ethical to follow these terms?

      • Vicki

There are definitely exemptions to this. All of the coupon clipping services are within the law…

      • Rachel Hinchliffe

now’s not the time. i buy coupons all the time….. get over it.

      • guest

i agree with you. I have never bought or sold a coupon or “my clipping time” like sites advertise. I personally think it’s not following the rules. While I love this site, that is just one thing I don’t understand with other couponers. =)

    • Franklinjil

Thank you and congratulations on you 4th girl. I have 4 girls as well!

    • sissy

      Congrats on the new baby!
I have a question; I watched all the video up to the individual stores. and I just want to clarify. All items on any matchup, show only the items that are 40% off  or more BEFORE coupons…..is that correct?? and we/I should buy what I need for a 6 week period?
My confusion comes when I look at your ‘buy list’ and those prices are much lower than the any of the items you have listed on the matchups?!?
So do I buy the items I need for 6 weeks from the weekly match up, or wait until an item is at a ‘buy price’??

      • Ginger

Sissy, I think you’re more or less correct. The thing to keep in mind is that your “buy” price list is going to be different from Jenny’s, to some degree. But, let’s say you need some cereal, and cereal is usually $3.79. This week, it’s on sale 2 for 4.00.  You are going to save by stocking up on those items, even if you have no coupons, and they are more than then price on your “buy” list. Because even if you buy them next week, NOT on sale and WITH the new coupon you just got, you will probably still be paying somewhere between 2.50 and 3.00. For myself personally, my cereal “buy” price is NEVER as low a Jenny’s, because of my region. If I can get it at $1.50, I snap it up. So, if it’s in your budget, and you’ll use it, stock up for the 6 weeks when it’s on sale, even if it doesn’t hit the “buy” price. If it’s not in your budget (and let’s face it, sometimes it isn’t,) maybe you can fit in 1 extra box, or 2.

        • sissy

thanks Ginger for your reply. I do get what your saying….It just seems that what Jenny says in her video is two different things. On the video, she says that everything that she has listed for the stores is at the lowest point in the six week cycle. BUT the prices are hardly EVER are as low as what is listed on her buy list.
That is what is sooo confusing to me! How does she ever buy anything??

          • sarahcas

One thing to keep in mind is that this buy list is a few years old. The cost of many groceries have increased and a lot of stores now have stricter coupon policies and/or don’t have sales that are quite as good as they used to be. You really just have to shop around and keep note of sales to figure out what is a good price in your area.

    • Paula

Thanks for the video, Jenny and congrats on another girl! I have a question about the cute black, floral coupon organizer you showed. What is it called and where can I find something like that?? I’ve tried every organizing method out there…may as well try that one too!! ;-) It’s super cute. It’s all about couponing in style. :-)
