It’s the time of the year when kids often need Valentines to exchange at school or other community events. Usually these end up with kids bringing home a lot of candy, and while candy isn’t bad, sometimes it’s nice to mix it up a little bit. I was out running errands this week and decided to peek at the options at Walmart and Dollar Tree. Here are the best non-candy Valentine treat ideas I found at these two stores!

At Dollar Tree

Note that all of the items from the store that I’m listing here were $1.25 (though not everything in the store are that price—check before you buy!).

These little cards come with a Valentine card and a little skateboard and would work for boys or girls! There are eight in a pack.

There are 10 of these Valentine stamps in each pack.

These mini notepads are so cute and come with ten in a pack.

There are 8 of these dinosaur Valentines in each pack.

If you’re looking for ideas for girls, these cards come with cute heart rings in each 8-pack.

At Walmart

They had tons of options for these Valentine play packs, which each contain 8 packs for $3.97. That makes each pack about 50 cents! At my closest store, they had Sponge Bob, Sonic, Disney princesses, Stitch, Hello Kitty, Minecraft, Jurassic Park, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Monsters, Spiderman, and Bluey!

These are new options I hadn’t seen  before! Each box contains 24 items for $11.98, making each item about 50 cents.

While these are food, they’re not candy. These are only $ 6.97 for 35 bags!
